First time ordering product from them for Force of Will. Everything came before it was expected. Perfectly packaged with care so nothing was damaged. When I emailed them on an update of my product they quickly got back to me. Best experience I have had ordering online from a LGS. Will be buying product from now on from them!

Easily my favorite gaming store in Michigan. They have tons of stuff from Pokémon to Yu-Gi-Oh, to Magic. The store is wonderfully organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly.

If you want to support your LGS without overpaying for cards definitely go to Odyssey. You can even order cards online and pick up in store, awesome setup these guys have. Every time Ive stopped in there have been some goodies 40-50% off in a bargain bin and Ive picked up some awesome promo stuff, sleeves, and deck boxes like this.

With a recently expanded gaming area, Odyssey is Kalamazoos best place to play card and tabletop games. Peruse their board game selection or browse a huge selection of singles for Magic, Pokemon, Epic, Force of Will, Star Wars and D&D minis and other games I dont know about. The staff is knowledgeable and capable of running tournaments of your favorite games properly. Does that not sound like a big deal? Go to an improperly run tournament, its a big deal. Odyssey is quickly becoming the go-to gaming location for all of Kalamazoo.

Went there for the first time last week to participate in a mtg event. The environment was comfortable and relaxed with quality players who were respectful. I found their prices to be on par with most gaming stores. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The reason Im not giving five stars is due to the amount of profanity that is tolerated. Not an environment I would bring my kid on game night.

More of a MTG and other CCG game store. They have a decent collection of d&d stuff. Its a weird social atmosphere though.

This review is for non-gamer moms. Odyssey is a very clean, nicer shop for collectible card games, roleplaying games, and related accessories. They sponsor events, like Friday Night Magic tournaments where the kids can come and game together in a safe environment. Smaller than the other shop in town, so Its easier to keep an eye on them, also theres a super cute resale shop next door, so if you are bored out of your mind you can duck out for a quick minute and do something else

A nice little tabletop gaming shop with competitive prices on their products. So happy they extended their Army Painter range and have the full range of Citadel paints! Some wizkids minis, lots of polyhedral dice, even several metal dice choices, TONS of MTG cards. Looks like they have Magic tournaments. They also carry some Warhammer stuff. Only complaint is that they dont have very many wizkids unpainted minis for d&d, and no Reaper Bones. Definitely worth a visit.

The owner is knowledgable and helpful. The store is clean and welcoming, and most importantly he has worked to make sure the environment and community their are welcoming to new people going to odyssey is always a good time.

**Pandemic Edit (8/19/2020): Stopped in the other day to pick up an order. I hadnt been able to make it to the shop since they moved a few doors down. I was blown away by the new space, looks awesome. Great lighting, new chairs, TVs, more restrooms, more gaming tables. New employee (sorry I cant remember your name*) was very helpful and engaging. Elliot has hand sanitizer stations set up throughout the store. Great place to find Magic: The Gathering and Keyforged cards. They also have assorted Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition items.

Smaller building. Has mostly DND and MOTG stuff. Small Pokemon selection. It was a Magic game night when we went so we didnt explore long. Has DND figurines, decent selection. Went in for dice but their selection wasnt big so I didnt buy any.

Man If you wanna play magic in the Kalamazoo area you will find no finer establishment than Odyssey games

This is hands down the best card shop in the area if you play Magic or Pokemon TCGs. Good variety of stock in single card sales and reasonable prices for them as well. My only complaint would be the pricing on certain booster boxes and larger special sets. They are consistently $10 more than everywhere else locally, while receiving the same distributor pricing, as The pokemon Company is very strict as to the wholesale cost of their products. If they chose to reduce in store stock of some of their card sets and added them to their weekly orders upon request at a comparable price to the local areas they would receive much more business. I still often choose to pay 5 to 10 more to them to support a local card shop personally, but it gets to a point where its hard to justify continuing to do so for these particular types of items just because i am a frequent purchaser.But the staff is super friendly and helpful, if you start frequenting the place most the staff knows what im there to look at as soon as i walk through the door.Definitely give them your business.

Before anything else i want to say i have been there only once, which is why this is not a 5 star review once i have been there a few more times and if my experiances stay the same this will be bumped up to 5 stars.so, i went there for the EDH event which my friend asked me to go to, but sadly i was late. due to this i decided to see what they had in stock, and found out about the tablet they have so you can order cards from a table and have them get the cards for you. the customer service was good, and the people i played EDH against where pretty friendly. the biggest thing for me is a friendly meta and this store has it so i highly recomend checking them out. I for sure will be going again when i have time(and gas money as i live about 40min to an hour away) so i can play some more EDH.

PROS: They greet you when you walk in most the time. They have a great and wide selection of magic card, card protectors, pokemon singles and sun & moon era booster boxes, box sets, single packs, etc. They also have a lot of events for pokemon and magic if thats your thing. They clearly label if their cards are lightly played, etc. The prices vary from average for area to a lil on the pricey side. CONS... if your more a collector than player and condition is important to you dont say what looking for or anything while your there for lack of better words. One the associates there will not be happy if your definition of good condition is different than theirs (*note: most their cards are in very good or better condition). Cuz if you do say something or you look over cards/items/etc they come off as taking it personal n somewhat offended and kinda give you a look every time you go there which can make some ppl feel uncomfortable. We went to Odyssey Games for the 1st time in months after past experiences. Still got the look from the one associate and felt a lil uncomfortable cuz of that while there but did find some good cards so was happy with purchase, we were still greeted when walked in and they still carry a good selection that is displayed very well. Would we recommend this place? To ppl who like to attend events for magic, pokemon, etc...yes. If your more a collector and amount youd spend varies...wed be a lil hesitant but would still tell ppl that wanna support local over national chains etc that after a few other places in southwest Michigan to check out odyssey games once and awhile.

Went in after I got off work at 8:30 and the guy behind the counter was super helpful. I was looking to put together a budget-ish EDH deck and had a ton of commons I wanted to pick up. He spent over an hour going through commons in the back and had an awesome attitude. People like that and shops like this are the reason I go to the LGS first before looking online for cards.

Not very welcoming, the couple of times I have gone in to check things out I am stared at just has an off vibe

I have been a regular at odyessy for more then a year now. Every time i visit them (about once a week) i buy something. My purchases range from under 10 dollers, to one fateful night i blew almost 300 on singles. All of that said i feel very upset and mistreated buy the downright lack of costumer service, the ever incresing price bump ups, and the complete disregard of non regular costumers by the staff. So saddly i will no longer be takeing part of any events, pre release, fnm, or other related activitys associated at this location. And i encorage anyone that plays Magic for the enjoyment of the game to do so as well.
