Great selection of wood species and different sizes/thicknesses. Tim and staff are helpful and friendly. Shop is labeled and organized. Prices are great and more than fair for what you’re getting in quality. Ditch the big box stores for your hardwood needs. These guys blow them out of the water in every category.

Tim always is willing to talk through the different pieces he has in stock and always has a great selection. If you are a beginner or craftsman, it doesn’t matter. The selection and helpfulness can’t compare to anywhere else in town.

RSL Hardwoods is fantastic! I highly recommend getting your hardwoods and slabs from Tim. I’ve purchased hundreds of board feet from RSL and have always been satisfied with the quality and moisture content of the wood. The friendly service is icing on the cake.

I recently began creating wood-burned art pieces from lumber discovered at RSL. Myself being rooted in more of a fine arts background, & not so much woodworking, has lead to a lot of questions. Tim (owner) has always happily shared valuable knowledge with me regarding the nature of hardwood species which has had a great impact on the aesthetics of my work. There are other places to get quality kiln-dried slabs of hardwoods, but if you’re looking for someone who will consistently and happily share a wealth of information, Tim is your guy. Tim is great to work with. You walk in and you instantly get overwhelmed with how many amazing slabs and lumber he has. I could walk around there all day making ideas of what I could build and make. As soon as my budget allows me to go grab more, you’d better believe I’ll be back!

Tim had a great selection of lumber and live edge slabs at reasonable prices. He allows you to peruse at your leisure and doesnt put any time pressure on you.

Tim is a nice guy to deal with. He is a carpenter himself so is makes a great sound board for specific projects you have planned. The prices are up front and fair, and he has a great collection of species.The lumber barn is a little hard to find if youre not from the area, so I suggest giving Tim a call if itll be your first time out.
