If you need a custom solution and advice, this beats out hardware or big box stores. First, I was looking for paint to cover steel exterior doors. I was turned toward a pro industrial acrylic, which I didnt even know was an option. It worked like a dream, with a pretty average coverage rate but super fast dry time that left zero tackiness, as promised. Super happy with that. Recently, I was helped to find a custom solution for a wood stain to color correct. It took some convincing to get past warnings about risks (of which I was aware), and best practices (which couldnt easily be accommodated in this case), but I ended up getting exactly the solution I wanted. Every Sherwin Williams in my experience meets this standard, although Im not in love with 100% of SW products.
