My friends transmission was going out in his 2016 Ram 2500. A coworker of ours had work done here and highly recommended them.This company was quick to get his truck in. Very responsive on call backs and keeping us posted. Best of all, their prices beat everyone we called to start and ended up being on the lower end of the range that was quoted.Mr. Gary was super accommodating, and when he said drop it off on Monday it should be ready by Friday, which it did not get there until Monday @ 4:30pm, he meant it and that is exactly what happened. Gary is the nicest most scrupulous mechanic Ive ever met. He didnt try to influence my decision any anyway nor did he try to up-sell me. I was in a Walmart parking lot and tried to reverse into a parking spot. When I shifted into reverse the truck would not respond. I immediately put the truck into drive and was able to drive home. I parked my truck and waited for the next morning. After searching online for a transmission shop close to me I was able to narrow down which shop to choose. Thankfully I found My Transmission Experts. I called them early in the morning and they quickly quoted me a minimum price to check out the problem. It seemed reasonable and within 30 minutes a tow truck arrived at my home to haul my truck into the shop for inspection. The same day, I was greeted with a call from the shop explaining what was wrong with the truck and the cost it would take to fix it. i agreed to have the repairs done and within 3 or 4 days my truck was fixed. The office is very dirty and smells like heavy-use of smoke. I’ve been to multiple body shops that are clean professional and this was one does not deserve a 1-star rating. The overall appearance is dirty and the owner is not professional. We would appreciate better customer service when seeking business to get major work done. USE ANOTHER TRANSMISSION SHOP!

Very disappointed, took my 2015 Toyota sienna because the transmission was slipping and I got a code related to a transmission solenoid. They said that for sure the torque converter was bad and that they had to take the transmission down to see what else was broken. Just labor to take the transmission down was around $1,300; imagine how much the grand total would have been after replacing what was supposedly brokenI then took it to the Toyota dealer in Katy, it turned out I had an shaft axle seal leaking, and therefore the transmission fluid was low. They replaced the seal and re-filled the transmission fluid, THEY DID NOT HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION. I ended paying few hundred bucks.This tells me that the guys at My Transmission experts didnt even put the car on a lift, because the leak was quite obvious from underneath. They went the lazy, old fashion charge as much as you can way.I wont ever take my car there again or recommend anybody to take theirs

I am a small business owner that relies on my Ram 3500 dully to stay on the road. When my input shaft broke on a Tuesday night and I called My Transmission Experts to fix it. They were more than helpful in trying to get my truck to the shop. Mike and Al got started on taking it out first thing Wednesday morning. they had it transmission out before noon and parts ordered. Shane had it taken apart very shortly after. After cleaning it up and replacing worn parts and waiting for the new input shaft. The crew had it back together and road ready by Friday! The quick turn around and the constant communication from the office made me feel great about the job. I thank each and everyone of the guys there for doing such a good job and a speedy job!!!

Really professional and excellent work my transmission expert save me $6000 because of the dealer want to replace the whole transmission and they have not did their due diligence and diagnosis I took the vehicle out from the dealership operate with my transmission expert were able to diagnose and check to find the issue and it was a sensor faulting issue and just cost me 425 bucks to fix this transmission problem instead of replacing the whole transmission that gonna cost $6500, my transmission expert they know are very professional and they know was they doing wait to go I’m so happy thank you

Great place for transmission fluid maintenance. Got a quote, I went in for the service and left 45 mins later. No nonsense manager that gives you what you want and doesn’t up sell anything. Will be coming here from now on.

I did not have my truck serviced here because I took it to A plus transmission first. I took it over there after recommendation from firestone. At first I thought they were great. Fast forward, not so much. I called transmission experts and talked to Gary who helped me out a lot ! He told me the game the other shop was playing with me and got my quote down from $3,300 for transmission rebuild to $2,595. I’m taking it here next if I ever need to, Gary schooled me on how the transmission world works and would have charged me significantly less than A plus transmission but since I had agreed to a $500 full drop and inspection of transmission fee I wasn’t able to give Gary my business. My Transmission Experts did a wonderful job fixing the transmission on my 2011 Honda CRV. The vehicle had 140,000 miles and I had a tough time deciding if I should invest the money or just get a new car. They assured me the problem could be rectified. After making the repairs the car is running very nicely. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

This is THE BEST car shop I’ve been to, not only is Gary friendly and very professional he tells you step by step what’s gonna happen with your vehicle. Read the reviews online and based on the high ratings took my 1953 Dodge truck to get its gearbox issues resolved. While I was initially viewed as a little crazy the owner diagnosed the transmission issue, replaced valve bodies with heavier duty valves and the truck now shifts and runs like it was built to. No hassle, plain speaking service. I thoroughly recommend these guys!!

Was having trouble out of the transmission in my Lexus. Was really not sure what to do, I had the good fortune to find the guys at this shop, Thomas was the one that helped me and he was wonderful. Being a lady was a little worried about be taking but, after talking with Thomas and him explaining everything to me I felt right at home. It did take a little bit longer than expected but it was well worth it, great job guys. I would be more than happy to refer my friends and family.

Gary has had my car for the second time, the first time I called him and told him it was something still wrong with my transmission, he asked me what did I expect him to do about it, I said fix it the right way he told me to bring i back so I did, all the mechanics did was drive it and told me nothing was wrong it, that I needed bearing in my wheels, I took it to another transmission shop they advised me to take it back to Gary so I did that was over a week ago, everytime I call to check on it Gary tells me a different story and now he wont release my vehicle when I told him I was coming to get it, this is unacceptable mind you Ive already paid him in FULL. Finally got my car back from my transmission experts, its worst then when I first took it back, I had a FULL tank of gas when I dropped it off, it was almost on empty when I picked it up, Gary s been calling me wanting me to remove my review, you wasnt calling when you had my car for almost two weeks, if you want transmission work done correctly dont took it to my transmission Experts, I dont know what they did, but my car is WORST!!! IMMA take the lost and go Eagle transmission in Pearland, theyre the real EXPERTS.

I brought my vehicle in not knowing what the problem was. I had been to another shop that told me bug problems and equally big cost to repair. I spoke with Gary, he diagnosed it as something minor that just needed tightening. He fixed it up in no time and off I went. Honesty, speed, character, fair--these words come closest to describing my experience with Gary and My Transmission experts. My 2012 Silverado transmission went out and Gary sent a tow truck to take it to his shop. He called me within a few hours to give me all inclusive price that was reasonable and matched other places. I needed to leave town the day I was supposed to pickup my truck but Gary wasnt satisfied with it and asked me to wait a little longer till he could make sure it was up to his standards. Then to meet my schedule he waited till after closing so that I could pick it up after I got off from work. But, the thing that impressed me the most was the next day I drove from Houston to Lafayette, LA for work and right at Lafayette the transmission failed. I called Gary and he sent a tow truck to get me and my truck. It was a defective hose(no fault of Garys staff) and he fixed it and got me on my way!! You can trust Gary and I think thats the best review I can give. I even recommended them to the UBER driver that drove me to get my truck from the shop! Thanks Gary helping me in some of the worst few days Ive had in years.

I took my vehicle this month and it took them no time to get my vehicle back on the road. The owner manager Gary was kind and tell you up front what is worn with the vehicle. The dealer was trying to charge me a arm and a leg but Gary took care of me. My vehicle drive great and I thank transmissions a lot for what they done for me. The same warranty the dealer was going to give me Gary did the same. I save a lot of money for my vehicle. If any have problems with their transmission come here and they will take care of you.

Found this place with the help of Google Maps. After reading the reviews I decided to go in and talk with Gary. I had gone to another shop prior to this one to diagnose and give me a quote on a repair. I shared this with Gary and he was quick to tell me they were ridiculously overcharging me. Taking just what the other place had said about the needed repairs he gave me a quote that was HALF of what I was already given! After test driving and starting the needed repairs he called me back to tell me that the repair was going to be even LESS! He went furthur to tell me that parts had been ordered and that he hoped the repair would be done the next day, and it was! The service and honesty I got with Gary and his guys was outstanding and well appreciated. If you find yourself in need of some repairs, do yourself a favor and go see them, you wont be disappointed!

I went to this shop with a an extended warranty for my 2002 Dodge Caravan that had just broke the transmission. Mr. Thomas Sims dealt with the warranty providers that I will call WPand after WP at the end decided not to cover my vehicles damage, Mr. Thomas helped me to search for financial alternatives for me to pay for the repair. I was able to obtain financial help to pay for this repair. During all this time he was very polite, informative and helpful. I will definitely recommend him and his shop to anyone who needs this kind of services in a courteous and polite way.

My truck transmission went out at the corner and was able to limp it around and so happened that it they were right there. I had previous issues with my my 95 ford rangers transmission. I did not want to believe that my transmission was the major issue and though I was not the original owner I came to the point where I had to realize that it was. Among other things, but there are two things I distrust, car payments and most mechanics especially when it comes to transmissions.Thomas understood my reservations and did not give me any BS. In fact I called because my carrier bearing had gone out on the way to work and needed a tow, which I had no idea at the time but he addressed the problem immediately and offered me a ride to work. He did not charge me for the tow and I had him address my transmission problems and he was honest about it and nearly bent over backwards to help me out. I had my truck back in less than a week and it runs like new. I highly recommend this shop, just dont try to be all knowing when you see them. I took my car in for a second opinion on my transmission. I was walked through the entire process and was provided with a detailed quote. Thomas was great considering he took over in the middle of the process. I would recommend going to him for your transmission needs.

Jim and Al have done great work rebuilding the transmission on my 2001 Mercedes Benz 320.I now may keep it as it will begin to increase in value as a ‘Classic’ in a few years. When a tire dealer stripped the lug threads in the wheel hub I took the problem over here and it was fixed for much less than others estimated. A plastic piece of a bumper they fixed in a second. For these reasons I advise people to come to Mr T

My transmission started slipping; I new it would be OK because I had purchased a extended warranty when I purchased the suburban 4 months ago. Of course, the opposite happened; the warranty company is trying to deny the claim and not pay. They did a good job on my old cars transmission, but I did notice that they will tell you the same story every time you bring an older car that they found traces of metal and need to open the transmission to really see whats going on. Then refuse to just change the transmission oil and tell you even the dealer would say the same. Took that second car to the dealer and they changed the transmission fluid without a fuss.

Before coming to MTE at Mason and Kingsland, I took my car to three other transmission shops who said they couldnt do the work (my car is no longer made, and an atypical job). Brian not only did everything he promised, but at a fair price. He could have easily justify adding a few extra dollars due to some unexpected additional minor needs (ones that actually made sense to me and that I should have probably anticipated), but he didnt. Brian has the perfect demeanor as he is knowledgeable, a good listener and calm, doesnt try to sell you, friendly, and sincere. After the job, one of the mechanics voluntarily approached me about the work and gave me some additional good advice. I highly recommend this business. The shop looks sort of small and unassuming. Dont let that fool you if you care about getting a good job.

I highly recommend this place for all transmission work. Thomas Sims is very personable and passionate about his work. He got right to the point by explaining the problem and offered a very, very competitive quote and beat one competitor by 33%. Their service was above and beyond as they delivered a quality product on schedule without any hidden fees or costs. They are honest and forthcoming with every detail. My car has never driven this good. I have found a new home for all of my future transmission work.

I took my truck in for transmission work on 2/26/15. A person named Thomas helped me, and his service was great. He went above and beyond his call of duty to fix the problems quickly, because I needed the truck for the coming weekend. Not only are his prices very competitive, but he fixed the truck correctly the first time, unlike many other transmission companies. He has won me as a customer and won my trust, and I will continue to use him when/if I need repairs made to any of my vehicles.

My Transmission Experts in Katy really helped me out when I was in a bind. We ran over an object on the freeway while headed out of town and they got me back on the road in a rental for a great price while they began work. Thomas, the manager, was so easy to deal with and understanding. The repair was more extensive than imagined but he explained every thing to me and when I had a problem shortly after we left he had me bring the car back and helped me out, no charge. I would definitely recommend them for their honesty, hard work and willingness to work with you. Good hard-working guys doing a great job.

This was my first visit but certainly wont be my last. Thomas not only gave me great service but was right up front with me about the problems my car was having and what my options were. Unprofessional, dishonest, It was a big mistake taking my van there, be very careful and dont pay before testing your vehicle. They charged me $3100 and the problem with my transmission was there, they waisted my 7 days to locate the problem, also when they raised the van up they broke my ladder rack and when I told Gary about it, without even taking a look he said we didnt do it, total denial. This kind of things happen and its called accident and professional way to deal with is to let the customer know about it not covering it up and when customer find out and mentioned it denying it is totally stupid.I would never go there again, Bad experience.
