The staff is always friendly and they make time to squeeze me into their schedule to work on my car.For the most part, I dont normally have to wait a long time for them to finish working on my car.I do really like the waiting area because I can set up my laptop and work on things while I wait and no one bothers me.My only complaint is that sometimes it can be a little overly priced for the work they perform but overall I genuinely like this location and have a good experience.

Had a morning oil change appointment at the Katy Fwy location. I was completely caught off guard by how rude and unprofessional Dominic was when helping me. He was terrible and even laughed when I told him I no longer wanted the service and would be contacting his supervisor.***contacted the store manager, Chase Faske, and he totally blew me off and said he would “talk” to Dominic. Offered nothing for my troubles and told me to come back at another time to try again.called corporate and they handled it like it should’ve been handled in store.

Good service there fix my flat no charge

Usually good service and quality work but certain people there need more customer service training. Helping the customer is an inconvenience for some of the staff.

They were quick and efficient and did not try to upsell additional products or services.

Only use this place because I have a credit card for it. But its alright. You have to say something to the guys for them to actually work on your car so your not there for 3 hours. They like to stand in the back and talk a lot, that Ive noticed. You can even watch them joke around through the glass in the waiting area.

I do not know why I keep going back there but this was the last time! First I paid over 1k for 4 new tires, not even the best kind. Second time for brakes, paid over $700! Brakes seem worst than when I took them there. Two months later loud noises again, took it back there thinking they would fix it. Nope! They wanted another $365 for just the front. Over 1k for brakes?! Why weren’t they fixed the first time! Such a hassle! I do not recommend this place. Not only do they over charge they keep you car for hours! Not to mention they rather get a drink out of their vending machine versus taking care of customers, and older guy working there wearing his mask below his nose!

Technician told me that I didnt have a nail in my tire when I actually did.

If you have any care for your time, take your money somewhere else.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would definitely do it! Went in for an inspection sticker. Was told by a bald man with blue eyes that it was going to take an hour and a half. There was only one car in the garage. Which made no sense. This just felt like plain discrimination. I will never set foot in this place again.

Great job. Had to wait a while but an appointment would have remedied the issue. Nice lounge with complimentary coffee and television with direct tv. There are also vending machines. Thanks guys!

I recommend regularly checking in with them about your service if youre not waiting in the store. Ive been visiting this location for almost two years because of the excellent staff and consistent good service, but I saw some fresh faces a few days ago. They have always called me immediately when my service is complete without fail until that day. I dropped off my car for a tire rotation and balance and requested that they call me when it was complete. I was told it would take about an hour, which gave me a spare hour and a half to make it to an appointment. Over three hours passed without a call from them, and I returned to the store to see why it took so long. A few of the staff were chattering away amongst themselves in the front desk area, including the clerk I previously spoke to. Thankfully, someone friendly popped in to help me and get me on my way. It turns out my service had been completed for a while, but no explanation was mentioned for the lack of notification. In the end, the service was completed, but I got some curious white smudges on the edge of my car and the door, which I later realized were chips on my freshly repainted car. I consider this the worst experience I have had at this store and am disappointed in the drop in standards. I can only hope that they will improve by the next time if I pay them a visit.

Came into NTB at I-10 and Fry Rd. with my father and was automatically greeted at the front. The employees were so helpful and very friendly. We went in to speak about some tire issues my father had and they took great care of us. Definitely recommend this location.

Theres almost always something going wrong there. The system will be down, or the tech (apparently theres only one who can change oil) isnt in, or, or, or. Im able to get service probably every other time I go. Ill start taking my business somewhere else. Even if it were free, this place wouldnt be worth the hassle.

Reading these reviews seems a little scary. However, I have dealt with NTB (only the Katy location) only twice now. The first time I brought my wife Optima in for 4 new tires and an alignment. I was in and out in about an hour. Service was fast and they were very friendly. I was dealing with Austin and John.The second time, I took my 2001 Yukon I just bought to get 4 new tires, alignment and state inspection. Everything was quick and fast. They gave me an estimate for some steering work and bushings for the front end. Before I took it in, I already knew the condition of the front suspension and everything they recommended I already had on my to do list. I know feel completely confident with this location about their service.I suddenly felt the need to write a review and I saw all the bad ones here. I am surprised. The work they have done for me has been great. Austin and John have been very helpful.. Thanks Guys!Update: today, right now as I am editing this. My wife and have been busy as hell this months. We forgot about her inspection on the Optima and our registration that is due now. Its 5:45 pm and they stopped doing inspections at 5pm. My wife explained to them about needing it done so we can pay online or go to Kroger and pay the registration, as the inspection needs to be done first. They took her in, passing the car and we are clear! Thanks guys again for coming through. I really dont understand the bad reviews. You went out of your way AGAIN!

After replacing my valve covers and changing my shocks and a few bushings on my suspension took it in to get new tires and an alignment. They called back with some bad news. They claimed my valve cover gaskets were leaking, my power steering pump was leaking, and my rear brakes needed replacing. I called bull on it all as I had just replaced my valve cover gaskets, and I had replaced my rear rotors and pads 6 months earlier. My rotors are still grey as they are not even old enough to start rusting. I told them to do the work I asked them to. After getting the car back the power steering pump was fine and there were no leaks. They had also told me that They did the best they could on the alignment as the ballpoints were bad. The car now drives worse now than it did before the alignment. I believe this as a scam to get me to come back. They are testing the waters to see if you know anything about cars or not and if you dont, they got you were they want you. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR!!!!!

Worst experience possible with a tire company ever! Not just here to whine, but to give some insight to future first time customers. I bought a Mustang in March and decided to switch rims and tires so I brought it up to NTB and purchased some sumitomo’s. Few months later I notice a loud squeak coming from the front left wheel. Don’t have anything to do with the tire installation, but the guys there were very friendly so I came to have them look at it. They told me they found the issue and I brought it in for maintenance. $600 later I get my car back and before I even drive off the premises I notice this squeak is still here, louder than ever. Walk back inside and explain this and I’m told I’m sorry sir, not much I can do, we can set you up to get something new fixed. Wow, I’m upset and I leave, here it is 5 months later, and yes, I never did get the squeak fixed. I’ve got kids to feed and can’t afford losing $600 over and over again. Well, new issue. My front passenger tire is showing metal coming out the tire and it looks bad, as if they might blow on me at anytime, so me, thinking I’ve got the alignment and new tires in less than a year at NTB that they would be able to take care of me. Not a chance. The wear on my tires are due to the handling of the Ford Mustang and I should purchase 4 new tires I’m told. Come on inside and I’ll give you a sweet deal. Sales pitch time. I tell him my story and explain that I don’t think I’ll be buying four new tires. So I go home and call the 800 number I find on google. Long talk with a representative and I’m pretty much told the same thing. Can’t do anything for you but we can give you a deal on new tires. I don’t want a deal. All I wanted was for my one tire to be replaced. Average Tire wear is 50,000-70,000 miles. Not at NTB though. It’s 15,000 miles. Learn from me and spend your money elsewhere. I’ve never had this bad of an experience with a company before and this is my very first bad review. It was just that bad that I feel like I owe it to the ones who decide to read the reviews before deciding to spend money or not. Hope this review helps someone out. Drive safe.

If I was able to put negative rating, I would. I have an extended warranty so I took my vehicle in to be serviced because my radiator tubes were cracked. That was the ONLY problem with my vehicle. I received a call with a long list of items that was wrong with my truck and when they contacted my warranty company, they were like - Hell naw. They sent an inspector to verify the concerns. They approved the radiator but the other concerns, were denied. I receive my vehicle and my AC isnt working. I had to go to another shop to have them re-charge and put freon because I refused to allow this location to touch my vehicle. Especially, since my AC was totally fine prior to bringing to shop and when he tried to convince the other services to be paid by warranty company and they declined, he suggested I pay out of pocket. Needless to say, I was livid. Mechanics stop it. Would you want this to happen to your mother or daughter?? Ugh

The service team was excellent. I will be definitely be back.

I had problem with the alignmet in my car after replacing axle shaft and I didnt know where to go where is the normal good place with normal price?! But guys from Walmart where I bought the tire adeviced NTB and its first time and it was very good experience for me. Because, during one hour they completed registration, payment and Alignment. I bought alignment for one year. I advice this place!

I generally have a decent experience at NTB. Sometimes I have super friendly people, sometimes they’re just okay. Never had a negative experience. Because they’re good they’re busy, so wait can be a little longer, but nothing too bad as long as you get there early or set up an appointment

Ryan was really helpful. They were able to beat the price of Firestone on my brake pads and rotor replacements. I would highly recommend this NTB. They reviewed everything with me and I felt really confident they took good care of me.

This is my 6th visit here over the past year.It has improved SO much since 2 years ago.I get all of my maintenance completed here.The prices are competitive, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and I feel like they do a great job. I make an appointment online and have never waited longer than 90 minutes. I had LONG waits at Discount Tire and the Toyota dealership here in Katy, TX.

I was really reluctant to come here because of the reviews. I came here and didnt have to wait long. I told them I was going on a trip and they helped me pick the right tires. The man who looked at my car did a thourgh job. I am very pleased. I spent well within my budget and they treated me with kindness. Thanks NTB! You guys are awesome!

I was greeted soon after entering. Ryan talked with me right away and talked to me about what I needed done. I was getting 4 tires and my AC fixed. I shared an idea I had for tires and after a few questions and talking with me, Ryan suggested another tire instead (that was less expensive). The whole time I was there, they kept me in the loop and explained everything. After leaving, my battery light came on, so I went back. They ran a free diagnostic to see what was wrong. Everyone was nice and I would definitely go back.

The team at NTB (Store 802) in Katy, Texas is a top notch team ( I have been to a lot of shops before I selected them) and they do above what is expected in a timely fashion. Give them a try, youll wonder why you waited so long to use them.

I was coming with my 4 runner for alignment and manager victor said we are busy and I say its OK, I can wait but he said he cant do it and I went out and look at the back only 3 cars wow,maybe just lazy..after couple months,I came back and the same guy said we are busy for now we cant help it..what are you kidding me but i pretend to be just innocent and walk out. lazy victor .

I like this location but few months ago the service became slower and staff less friendly. One day, I got an estimation for my car which is only 3 yeo for over $1k. I went to a dealership for the second opinion. They ran the test for everything and said my car was totally fine. This wrong estimate was not the first time... I feel like they take an advantage of me.

The team at NTB was really helpful and keep us involved in the repairs of my wifes car. I would recommend them for repairs and I will be having my oil change there also.

I WENT TO NTB TO GET AN INSPECTION STICKER, AN MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON, SO I NEEDED WORK ON MY 1997 YUKON BEFORE I COULD GET IT INSPECTED. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD SPENT TIME ON MY VEHICHLE DETERMINING WHAT WAS NEEDED TO FIX IT, AND AFTER DENYING ANY WORK TO BE DONE ON IT AS I COULD NOT AFFORD IT. Kind of slow and pricey. Had a coupon for a synthetic oil change for $49.99 on a 4Runner. Ended up paying $80. I understand paying for extra oil but $30 more? It took 2 hours to do a oil change and rotate tires when hardly anyone was there. Looked out the window to the garage and no one is doing anything with my vehicle. Its just sitting there like I have nothing else to do. I might try another location next time or go to Meineke.

Last month my husband needed to have a tire patch done on one of his work trucks tires. We visited Discount Tire and were told all his tires were bald and they couldnt patch them; 4 new tires were needed. The total was going to be over $1300. We left there to find other opinions. NTB was our third tire shop that day. Carlos immediately met us at the counter and asked what we needed. He went with my husband to check the tires on his truck and explained that 2 of the tires were balding and that the other 2 were not far behind. He encouraged new tires but was not pushy. He discussed with us different tire brands and types that would fit my husbands work truck and answered all the questions we had without rushing us. He did price checks on different deals being offered (one was buy 2 get 2 free and the other was a Veterans discount). Once we chose the tires we wanted, the total for all 4 tires was $500 less than we were quoted elsewhere. The work only took a few hours, as they were busy on a Saturday, and they called us when the truck was ready.I was so impressed with Carlos and his professionalism that when the battery in my SUV stalled out a few weeks later I took it straight to NTB. It was right after they opened and there was already a line of 4 people. The gentleman behind the counter was managing 2 customers at a time and doing a great job. He did his best to give each customer undivided attention while moving quickly. My battery was replaced and I was on my way within an hour.I can say that the associates we have encountered at this NTB location are the best. They are polite, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. WELL DONE NTB! We will definitely be returning and telling everyone we know.

If I could give them minus stars I would. DO NOT, DO NOT under any circumstances let these people do any repairs for you. They dont know what they are doing and most importantly their price will be nine times as high as a good mechanic shop will charge. I can prove it. I was not stupid enough to take their high pressure sales and ridiculous price. When I investigated I turned their $1800 repair into a $280 repair. Bunch of crooks in my opinion.

I have been here many times to get tires and service. They have always been friendly & helpful..today I was not greeted like I have in the past...instead I get the third degree about the last time I bought tires, which tires I bought for which vehicle and when did I buy them before they would even look at the tire I brought in for repair. Had to buy tires this time as I had one beyond repair...dont know that I will be back.

Very inefficient and always backed up. The service isnt bad, theyre normally polite and they get the job done adequately, but theyre always backed up no matter what day or time of the day that I show up.*EDIT* While I previously gave this location a bad review for always being backed up, I realized the best way to get your work done is to call and get an appointment. Both times I have done this, Ive been in and out very quickly and efficiently. And the times Ive tried to make an appointment they have most of the day booked, so they do have lots of work to do.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL AHEAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Went in for a $19.99 oil change and they wouldnt do unless we spent another $100 something dollars for a diagnostics test that had nothing to do with changing the oil. They try scamming you just because they see a couple of females. Took my business somewhere else and they were happy to change the oil and just that.

Had been a loyal customer pretty much since they opened. After the service I received today, I will not be returning.

I used to really love this place. I purchases 4 new tires and chose to have the warranty put on them just in case something happened while I was traveling often. Well something did happen, I hit something just right and it punctured the tire so bad I needed a new tire. I lost my paperwork proving that I had the warranty and they said they did not show me to have the warranty on any of the tires in their system so needless so say I was pissed because I KNOW for sure I paid for it. I went ahead and bought another tire and made sure and purchased the warranty, AGAIN and made sure to keep my paperwork in a safe place this time. A couple months later the same thing happened and I went in and needed a whole new tire and they told me the same thing, I did not purchase the warranty for that tire. I about threw fit I went and got my paperwork so fast and showed it to him and he said he did not know why it was not showing up. What a joke. I will never step foot in this place again after that, which is sad because I loved this place before that happened.

I went here to purchase tires for my vehicle. My vehicle is in the shop so just needed to purchase tires...not install or mount them or anything. First, there were 2 people at the desk who were busy in God only knows what and refused to even acknowledge me. Then one gentleman came out from the office...poor guy left half his lunch on the table to come help me out...he told me I had to pay CASH only as it was company policy...didnt bother to explain or anything..his exact words were y ou can go get cash and buy them from us or go somewhere else... kinda rude but oh well...at least the prices are good but they still dont warrant the attitude! The gentleman who put the tires in the trunk of my car was awesome!!

My Dad has been going here for years and I take his car up when needed and the guys are always helpful and I typically dont wait too long, they will let you know if you need to drop it off with them. This place does get very busy so Id call in advance, if possible.

I was putting air in my tire everyday for a week so I assumed that I needed a plug. Those once I arrived to ntb I was informed that both rear tires were bald and that I needed new ones. Which I had forgotten that I received 2 front tires at the beginning of the year and they stated that the rear tires would last at least till the end of the year. So they were quite accurate with that guess. But the guy tells that wasnt my only problem he stated that the driver almost was unable to stop so they checked my brakes and informed that the brakes and rotors were bad. So I left that day thinking I was going to get a tire plugged but had to purchase 2 rear tires and rear brakes and new rotors. Not apart of the plan but at least Im safe. The reason Im explaining is because I had taken y car else where for an entire month telling them that I was having to press all the way down to stop and would still continue sometimes. So I would have assumed that they would have checked my brakes but I guess not. Though I was told brakes were good and that I needed a new master cylinder which was swapped out twice during that month I am speaking about. Again I just wanted to thank NTB for recognizing the problem and taking care of it for me that day.

Oil change prices are good. But, do not go there for anything else. Especially, not for brakes. Extremely expensive! I highly recommend Brake Check!!

Typical auto repair place. Was suppose to be done in 45 min to an hour for alignment and oil change. Took two hours. Downgrading to three stars from four stars from pervious visit.

I had a wonderful face to face experience. They were very pleasent and there wasnt a wait. I got a new set of wheels and 6 months later I went in for an alignment a brake check. They fixed me up and sent me on my way.Fast forward another 3 months and I am supposed to leave for a roadtrip. I take my car to my family mechanic and tell him my brakes are still squeaking. He tells me 30 minutes later that 70% of my lugs are cross threaded and I have 2 sets of very old brakes. They had to cut and re-weld my lugs and I had to pay for more brakes. If I had gotta a flat on the road I wouldnt have been able to get any of my wheels off leaving me stranded.Thanks NTBP.s. only gave you the second star for customer service

I bought 4 tires at $51.99 each. There was a $50.00 instant rebate. However after they charged installation, tire stem, and disposal of old ties it was $260.00???? So, 51.00 ×4= $207.96 - $50.00 for instant rebate is $157.96. It cost me $102.04 to instal my 4 tires and dispose of the old ones??? WOW!

These people are hustlers! They dont give the best price upfront. It depends on who youre talking to. You have to play a barter game with them.

I dont know if its because shes young, or if shes a girl, or if they just thought she was clueless, but there is no excuse for acting so unprofessionally. There is NO excuse for trying to overcharge and take advantage of someone for a simple, routine oil change. Well take our business elsewhere.
