The store manager Warren Morris spotted me searching for an item in the Katy store. We ended up finding what I needed in the storage area under other items. It is hard to describe in words how refreshing it is to get treated this way in the world we live in. He went way beyond the call of duty. The company is fortunate to have such a fine person working there!

Harbor Freight - a tool for a day, a week or a lifetime. The only thing that could make it better is to bring back coupons. They have some but not near as many as they use to. Its a wonder Harbor Freight survived Covid-19. What percentage of HF is made in China? 🤯

Easy to shop vs the big box store

What I needed was in stocks, even though someone had to go to the back to get it. The employees were very nice and helpful.

Usually have good experiences at this location but today I needed to get something and they locked the doors early clearly stats in the door that they close at 8 and 5 min till they locked up not cool

I wasn’t impressed. The staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. I stopped in because the website said they had the item I was looking for in stock. The cashier pointed in a general direction as to where it would be. I asked another employee and he said they had been sold out. Which I completely understand, I know inventory can’t be accurate 100% of the time. I have to rate this place 2 stars just because of the cashier’s attitude as I was checking out honestly.

No one acknowledged me as I came in the store. I walked around with no assistance and the workers just looked and didnt ask if I needed any help.

I accidentally bought the wrong compound miter saw for my son for Christmas... I have already bought two from Harbor freight the first one I totally wore out by usage.... when it went out I went bought another one.... of course at a great price with a 20% coupon as well....I took the compound miter Saw back, and your associate Warren waited on me I explain what I did.... he refunded me the money and I told him I wanted a sliding compound miter saw.... He look in the Katy store was out of of them ....He said he put my name on the list and Would call me when they get another shipment in...I had no complaints about that and figured I could check daily with the store....I then got a call from Warren and he said he was back in one of the freight trucks and saw a sliding compound miter saw in their storage truck ..... I told him I was on my way....I always liked harbor freight.... they stand behind the warranties on all the equipment they sell....I have always had excellent service by all the employees and help finding things at Katy harbor freight...This type of service and his attitude to assist a customer is fantastic....You have a lifetime customer....Thanks a lot Warren you went beyond my expectations....Thank youBen P

Easy in, easy out. Good selection of items.

Difficult to find stuffs even though it says in stock online. Staffs are helpful but a lot of time they are busy or occasionally cannot find the stuff. If they dont offer online order with free pick-up option they may be bankrupt soon.

Good deals on tools that are durable. Excellent small engines that are a blessing for small engine users. Preditor engines at a fraction of what other engines cost and Excellent warranty. I keep going back for more even when I dont need them that much.

I loved this place for the 30% coupons. Now that its no longer available, I dont really see the bargain in this place. Ill spend a little extra elsewhere for proven quality tools and merch

I have bought from Harbor Freight for many years. When they opened this store I was one of the first through the door. I do not understand why they are constantly out of the particular object I need. Other stores do not have this problem. Today, 12/2/20 will likely be the last time I walk into this store. My 20% off coupon very clearly stated what was excluded. I checked it and rechecked it before going over to the store. There was no exclusion for Central Machinery. When I went to purchase my item, however, the cashier told me flatly the coupon would not work. I showed it to her, read the exclusions, and she agreed it was not excluded. She replied: Doesnt matter. It wont work and theres nothing I can do about it. Seriously? It was obvious she had zero interest in helping me solve this problem either. She made it sound like she had worked there a long time and it has always been the case. I am in there a lot and had never once noticed her. I was the only one in line right then, yet she acted like I was a serious bother to what she would rather be doing.Harbor Freight, this is inexcusable! Please code your coupons correctly and please hire employees who will actually help customers, not make them feel like idiots for shopping at your store with coupons that you put out.

I would love to give a recognition to a cashier register person today her name was Jessie and she waited on me with an issue that I have on a purchase. I first purchased the item from another cashier attendant and he charged me more than what was listed for a aluminum hydraulic jack. when I got outside and got into my vehicle and looked at my receipt I noticed I was charged more than what the actual advertisement was at the display. When I went back in I met with Jessie at her register and she was polite considerate kind very helpful made the transaction go through smoothly and apologize frequently for the previous transaction and credited back my credit card with a discount. When I get great customer service at harbor freight I like to give my recommendations review and appreciation. I am 64 retired disabled veteran I accidentally pulled up in front of the store in the wrong parking spot and Jesse politely came out from her cash register to reassure me that I needed to move my vehicle to another location as to not get it damaged by anybody coming out with heavy products from the store that might scrape my vehicle. I was parked in a loading zone and she went above and beyond her normal job. Again I want to let the corporate know managers, supervisors to know that she is an excellent representative of harbor freight and should be awarded accordingly.Sincerely Mr James

The tools here are very well made and have great pricing! The brand is picking up reputation and the store keeps getting busier, theyve gotta be doing something right. Out of the couple dozen products Ive bought from Harbor Freight, Ive only had one tool break and the store refunded my money with only one question: how the h*ll did That happen?

Cashier let someone walk in the front door, cut 5 people in line, and wait while they pulled the item from back storage.The cashier then had the gaul to get rude with me when I said something.

Exceptional prices. Excellent selection. Their customer service could use some help. Some of their tools are of questionable quality, but it is to be expected when you are paying less than half price or better than Home Depot and Lowes. If you ever have a problem with a tool or piece of equipment, they stand behind their warranty, but only if you have your receipt. Almost my entire garage is comprised of Harbor Freight products. I will continue to go back again and again.

My husband was in need of a tool cart for work, and we found exactly what he needed at the best price at Harbor Freight. Even better, they had one left in Blue, which almost matches his big Matco tool box. We also got him a magnetic power strip in the same blue color, so he can plug in his shop radio and various things he needs.Everyone at this location was very friendly and helpful, from being greeted when we walked in to the cashier who checked us out, and the manager rolled the box out to our car and my husband helped him load it.They were super busy because they were having a big sale, but we were checked out almost immediately because they had all their check stands manned.We will definitely shop there again for any extras my husband needs for work.

Wow... Ive been a customer at harbor freight for 10+ years. I came in for a simple warranty exchange. Out of stock.. cool no problem. Firstly I get lied to about a shipment delivery date. Was told they receive a truck every Sunday. Thats a lie. Secondly I get offered to go to a store right down the road to another store to pick it up myself. Turns out its down the road 23 miles away. Thirdly all this taking place with miss cashier dishing out the absolutely spectacular fake nice attitude. These people employed at this location dont give two squirts about their customers or their time. Also what is the point of having a computer that stores all purchases based on your telephone number, if they wont warranty anything without a receipt.. you have a part number, date of purchase, and warranty information right there but wont honor it unless Ive managed to keep a piece of paper for the last year and a half. Apparently this started 4 months ago but who knows at this point what the truth is.. cannot get through to customer support either...

Let me start of by saying how much I usually like Harbor Freight. The customer service in this location in Katy is horrendous. Well I should specify that the one specific lady behind the counter on Wednesday 10/28 around mid day was horrendous. After standing in line to do a return, I was yelled at, not asked, yelled at to get back in line. I walked in to do an exchange and didn’t want the staff to think I was stealing so I waited very patiently for my turn in line. What I received was the worst customer service experience. I’m not sure how the lady at the counter could feel that yelling at a customer in front of other customers is appropriate behavior. Usually I’m a very passive person and always speak to everyone with respect, having dealt with difficult customers myself I understand how working with customers can require patience but this lady needs some training. It’s extremely sad that harbor freight has this person representing their products.

Harbor Freight Tools stocks tools and materials for the DIYers and professionals. Their prices are very fair and the warranties are very good. They are conveniently located in many parts of Houston and are open 7 days a week.

Never buy mechanical or electrical equipment here, its extremely cheap and will likely break in days ( without exaggeration ). If you need some supplies or a simple tool this would be the spot to go, but Ive found myself standing in aisles looking at blank on a few occasions. Namely, I needed a pipe wrench and could find it online, but not in the store.

Harbor Freight is a cheap made-in-China tool store. Some items are good value some are junk. They have been trying to increase their quality of late, i.e. their Bauer line of power tools, and some of their welders are starting to get competitive. Think about what could fail and what might be done cheaply, and it is a good resource for some tools.

1st time in, I stopped by to get a pruning saw. I was just wandering around. Ill order online, no biggie.

This is one of the one time use Tools hardware store (I called). To buy hands tools its okay. But Power tools is Not.but if you short of $$$ This is the place to go. Remember you will find almost everything except Quality.

I bought a nail gun a week ago. Never removed the air fitting plug. I went to return it due to the job it was bought for was canceled Harbor freight wanted to charge me a $42 restocking fee. That is almost a quarter of the total price of the tool. Harbor freight will not get any more of my business. Very bad service.

One of the casheirs was technically wearing her mask but her nose was out, then I saw her again and her nose and mouth were exposed.She doesnt know that you have to cover your mouth and nose for the mask to work?

They are obviously under staffed and dont seem to care if the line has 8-10 separate orders. They also are not willing to assist customers (especially females) with locating items that are advertised nor will they take the 20% off a single item without the physical paper cut coupon.

First location, near Katy, TX did not have product listed on website. They helped Us locate a location that did. Went to store on Highway 6 South near Bellaire Blvd. On point. We needed a pipe cutter for cutting fence pipe. 2 1/2 inch. Bought two! Neither Homedepot nor Lowes had anything close to what We required. Well be shopping here more often. Thanks! I love this store! Some of the tools are cheap, thats just the way it is for a discount store, but you can also find many great tools for great prices. I keep telling myself that I dont need anymore tools, but I always find myself going back to get something I may need one day.

Sometimes customer service plays an important role. I didnt like what I heard and seen. The assistant manager made it known what her title was. and told this kid in the store that she could fire him. He handed her 20$. She snatched from him than roll her eyes. Flipping her braids back. Very unprofessional I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and seeing. We should learn to treat our co worker’s with respect. I’m a customer and I was shock don’t ever mistreat somebody child like that are anybody like that. I don’t think she like her job I really don’t. Find someone that knows how to treat people.
