Not sure about this place lived here 20 years ago and moved back remodeling a house very responsive by email but you go to the store have to look for ever to find someone to help then all the salesman for that area are at lunch at the same te at 2pm no one se had a clue when looking for carpet. No wonder everyone heads North to menards.

We just ordered a new washer and dryer, and Builders was great to work with! They helped us secure the best discounts, figure out what is actually in stock, and they’re flexible with the delivery!

Was at builders looking at flooring for an hour not 1 time was asked if I needed assistance very disappointed. Also no prices listed on products. I took my business elsewhere.

I purchased carpeting and flooring from John Lundy. I remember him saying “ I don’t know why you wouldn’t buy from builders”. This is why….He calculated the price wrong by $1000.00.The carpet quality was not to my satisfaction.After installation, we have carpet coming apart in the doorways and I have called 3 times. 1 call to the carpet installer, Kevin, and twice to John Lundy. I guess their is “no service “ after the sale. I will take my business elsewhere!

Not impressed with the service and employees are not friendly. Can’t get anyone to help us the last 4 times we have been there. Will never go back.

Service was soooo slow. Took 4 guys to get one fan down. The fan I wanted said there was 24 in stock and they couldnt find any of them.

Builders is a fine purveyor of construction tools and supplies. They also carry and install items in your new kitchen or other rooms of the mind.I went in there for a Torx bit smaller than T10 and two very nice people helped me look for it in a drill bit and a manual screwdriver. Both were disappointed that the adventure went fruitless.The lady that helped me first was from the paint department and the guy that helped me second was situated near the appliances like a roadside watermelon stand.It is a nice clean store.

No requirement to wear a mask, my children where allowed into the store. Hand sanitizer was available. Store was clean. Staff was awesome. Gave us great advice and recommendations. Very knowledgeable and personable. Great prices and selection. Ill not have to go to Menards now that Im aware of the selection here.

Carpet installed. Installers knocked it out of the park. Salesman Geoff was a real Jackwagon. Didnt listen to a word we said on organization. Caused us more headache than it was worth. So much for good service.

I literally walked every aisle in the store. I saw several employees and Im pretty sure that they saw me but not a single one greeted me or offered me assistance. I went on looking for the items that I was needing of which I was unable to find. I finally decided that I was not going to be helped so I left. Very disappointing.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Greg the manager helped us with our tile flooring and shower- although he was not the designated flooring expert, he still busted his hump to get us answers and pricing. He stayed with us the whole time we were shopping, knew our price point to sell to us, and even helped us carry out. We are SUPER grateful for his help and we will DEFINITELY be shopping there again!!!!

Was only at evaluating stage of fix spots on deck that have dry rot OR replace with vinyl one. Lance was very helpful in helping me figure part of cost of replacing with vinyl, even tho I was not at point of saying do it. I did not feel rushed (since I wasnt a paying customer yet.)

Great staff and good prices, we were really happy with their paint selection.I do have a question about the lumber. Do you get to pick out your own or do they give it to you. I hate Menards, dont want to deal with them. I dont want to drive to GI for Home Depot. But if your customers get to choose their own, Id be very happy to give you more of my money!

As a construction worker and a woodworking hobbyist, I swear by Builders for most purposes. They have a wide range of tools, DIY supplies, small appliances, and other accessories that I need for work and for weekends. I wish they had a better supply of small hand tools for small jobs and apprenticeship projects; and they dont sell instruction books or plans. For those I still have to go to Menards. But for most supplies, and especially bulk buys, I stand by Builders. The fact that theyre locally owned is a nice bonus.

Staff members were helpful. Must have been newer employees. They werent very familiar with the store or what services they offer.

The customer service at Builders is amazing. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. It was a very different experience than I was used to. The store is clean, fun to shop in and well organized.The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices are higher than other places.

Will not ever buy anything here again. Paid for delivery and installation of a washer and dryer. Not only was it not installed properly, they also busted a pipe and flooded our entire laundry room and kitchen.Tried talking them about at least removing the delivery and installation fee from the bill and they refused. Got to the district manager and still told us no. Spoke with a manager they have two Greg managers so cant remember the last name but he is the worst customer service being I have ever met.Later that day my landlord brought over his handyman and they fixed the pipe that was busted and also told us that the people installing it put the hot and cold water pipes on backwards. So our settings would have been all messed up had they got installed anyways.10/10 do not recommend purchasing a screwdriver from here. For not any appliances. Sad thing is Menards in town had the same set same for same price, the delivery and installation fee was just $20-30 more expensive.Long story short you get what you pay for I guess.

Great customer service. They refunded me the difference in price for my stove when it went on sale 2 weeks later. And easily exchanged my dehumidifier when it stopped working 50 days after purchase. Thanks Builders!

Salespeople are not particularly helpful. Have been at Builders a couple of times recently and was not satisfied with the assistance that I received, there.

Just bought a washer & dryer. The sales rep (Lori Hauke) was very knowledgeable & pleasent to work with. Also they were very willing to help load up & offered help numerous times. Brant helped me load & did a great job. Thanks for all your help Builders.

Garry and Randy are AWESOME!!! Called last night in a bit of a panic as I am from out-of-town, and couldnt find the items I needed anywhere else. Garry confirmed everything I needed was in stock, so I went on down. Not only did these two get me to the correct location of my items, but they also assisted me in pulling all the items from the shelf, double checked my list with me, assisted the attendants and the check out, and then loaded my items in my truck for me. Impressive builder supply store. Didnt buy materials but looked through the tools. Primarily Dewalt and Milwaukee. Surprised they carried Stiletto tools. I was disappointed they didnt carry higher end toolbags. They also didnt have much variety in hand tools but they had the basics covered. Looks like they had a lot of building materials as well.

The sales associate did a great job of helping us! He answered our questions and got everything setup for us to make the purchase we wanted! Thanks!

Great looking store, but help over the phone help is incredibly useless. I get transferred from one person to another to an STL to answer an incredibly simple question and then it goes directly to voicemail. Ugh... why couldnt the other employees answer my question, do they not have the product knowledge required to do so? Geez...

Waited over 30 minutes to pay 50% more for my parts and still had to drive to get them..could have driven to Grand island for my gutter parts and saved time and money

Very disappointed in Builders. Beware when making a purchase from here they do not have a return or exchange policy on washers! They sold us an $800 lemon Maytag and now we are stuck with it! When we bought it the woman we worked with did not inform us they did not do exchanges or returns. The washer does not work! This was the first and last time I will ever buy from here!

I normally do not leave reviews, but signed up in google just so I could warn other newbies to Kearney. We are moving here from out of state, and enjoy shopping local. Our new neighbors have given us the names of local businesses, and did warn us that Builders is “iffy at best” in customer service. My wife and I have seen no “if’s about it”, we will be hard pressed to return again. We have been to Builders 3 times now, and have had the same treatment. The store is quite clean and neat, but the employees leave much to be desired. The little gal in the lawn and garden area must simply hate her job, and everyone that walks into her area. The cashiers are allowed to have their phones, and one must wait until they are finished texting or watching a video, to check out. Nobody will offer to help you, unless you chase them down. Every employee in this store (that we came in contact with) seems cranky, and had other things to do besides happily assist customers. We are new to the community, and of course do not want to ruffle feathers, but also feel we should warn others new to the area. There is a Menards just up the road. The prices are better (albeit the store may not be as tidy), the selection is great, and no daggers will be thrown in your back as you are walking the aisles.*We do want to mention the man in the drive thru was helpful and easy to work with.

Ive been a contractor for 15 years now, but before that I had Mrs. Anderson as a kindergarten teacher. What a wonderful lady. I went to school with Stacey, worked with Chad at Earl May (cool car man) and helped Myron move personal Items from his garage. You could say I had a personal relationship with the owners of Builders Warehouse and the family. Recently I general contracted a commercial building in Kearney for my family. Our history with Builders was excellent there was no doubt we would be using Builders for materials. The project went very wrong with Spelt Schultz (DBA of Builders) screwed up. We suffered a 31/2 month delay and Spelt Schultz employees did everything to save there job claiming no fault in the matter. This has cost my family Tens of Thousands of dollars and ended a relationship with Builders. In talks with other contractors I use to tell the people that wouldnt get materials from Builders that they go thru a lot of college help that doesnt care about the company. I said the owners are good people. I now question that statement as I have become one with the family that will never step foot in Builders again. I leave a 1/2 star rating and with a heavy heart say that are personal relationship is over and I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN BUILDERS AGAIN.

Not enough employees working in the store on a Saturday morning. Only one person in the Kitchen Department and they were on gone, no one could help us with the price of the counter tops. They told us to come back during the week between 9-5. We left and shopped somewhere else.
