We used to love Menards. But recently, we placed an order for a door, realized within minutes of getting home that we had asked for the wrong size, called to ask them to correct the dimensions since the order wasnt in production yet and thought we were good to go. Almost a month went by of not hearing anything so my husband went in to find out why it wasnt ready for pick up. He found out the wrong door ended up being ordered and had been sitting at the store for weeks. We had to pay a restocking fee for their ordering mistake and wait another week for the correct door to come in. The employee refused to acknowledge that it was the stores mistake. Its just not cool.

We purchased a $4000 fridge from there. It took a few weeks for it to be delivered. A few days after installing it, we noticed that the freezer door was frozen and the freezer was freezing over. It was not usable. Also, the ice maker didnt work and there were numerous scratches and dents on it. I called Menards and they told me I had to call Whirlpool and go through the warranty. They basically said it wasnt their issue anymore. I called Whirlpool and they said the fridge had been delivered to Menards in 2019 and the warranty had expired. Luckily, we were able to prove date of purchase and the warranty has been reinstalled By Whirlpool. We have had to wait a few weeks to be able to get someone to service it though and have been without a freezer. Menards was not helpful throughout the process. They sold a broken fridge with no warranty and basically refused to take responsibilitY. The only response I got was that a $4000 fridge doesnt sell very often so it wasnt there fault the fridge had been there since 2019. The manager I talked to said the issues was going to be escalated@ but I never heard back from them. When I called Menards to follow up, I was told I was going to be transferred to a manager but just got hung up on. I still cant believe that this company thinks its ok to sell broken products! Im definitely taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I am always able to find a variety of quality wood stains, polyurethane, and metallic accents with Rust-Oleum and Minwax.

REFERENCE TO GARDENING SECTION ONLY: Year after year their plants are diseased, infested, and uncared for. Most dont grow unless they are extremely hardy. Annuals & herbs are never healthy. They never have an experienced gardener on site. Gardening tools are subpar and break quicky. Gardening soils are gnat infested. I took a huge chance on an organic soil and nothing grew in it. A little research proved that it was completely green washed advertising but of course Menards takes no responsibility for the products they carry.They basically have a garden section just to have it. There is no intentional purpose to it. I will stick to the local nurseries who take care and what they do

Empty wood except for expensive woods. Some not marked. Like the store. Employees seemed a bit out of sorts and not happy. Life is short, we need to be happy

Finally finishing an old farmhouse kitchen we started 3 yrs ago. Menards was there in the beginning with materials that built back ceiling, walls and flooring. Today we are finishing with countertop, sink, faucet, and new hardware and hinges for the cabinets! The bonus was finding new patio chair pads and very helpful staff. They are a busy lot, so once you find them use their knowledge. Cheers!😊

I was into the store today and purchased a lawn mower as our other one finally died. I get it home unpackage it, follow the start up instructions to find that the mower is locked up. After calling the store and speaking to the department manager I was hung up on. At the time of returning to the store the general manager Cody, who isnt fit to be a cashier told us there is nothing they can do except refer me to a repair guy that is out of town. It is apparently my responsibility to take time off of work to get the mower repaired in two weeks. I will never step foot in menards again. If I could rate lower I would.

Their staff are clearly being trained to be mask police. We were in the very back aisle getting NO HELP. We had a forklift driver 50 ft away from us and yell at us to put on our masks (we took them off to speak to each other since we were alone) We told the employee to maybe help paying customers. We then got CHASED down by a manager who got within feet of us to yell at us (we had our masks on). Menards should probably ask Walmart and Target on their policies they at least understand rights and the constitution.

Great store can find almost everything except food 😂 its really big and can find many furniture there and outside stuff too

Its well organized and the staff are helpful, but alot of the staff dont even know what they are doing, so you end up running around looking for someone who does. Other than that, they took care of what I needed and I was able to get in and out fairly quickly.

Asked for help from an associate, must have been too busy playing solitaire to help, barely answered my question. Found what I need myself, went to check out and they only had three open checkouts on a Sunday afternoon... 30 minutes later I finally got out.

We enjoyed the trip to Menards today,good prices on the products that we need. Helpful employees.

Found good sales on a few things plus 11% off.

Went to pick up some.tools for the motorcycle, found everything we needed

I am disappointed in the quality of plants from Menards. All dead within a week.

I was told I could not enter without a face mask even with my medical exemption. I walked to the car and got a mask to get in the door. Walked into the store and pointed at my mask at the the little boy who was guarding the entrance. I went into some aisles and found two of the three things that I needed. I was not within twenty feet of anyone during this time. A manager then came up to me and told me to put down my things and leave. He got well within six feet and was barking orders as I left as I was not wearing the mask over my nose. So I took it off. This made him mad. Good I was mad too because he told me that the cameras showed me flipping off the little guard boy. I did no such thing. But when walked past him again I sure did. “Here’s the real one.” The manager or safety contractor whoever he was, followed me to my car asking for my name and telling me that I am banned. I told him I would not give him my name. He said, “fine I’ll have the cops ban you.” He took pictures of my plate. Lol ok. I am never shopping at Menards again. They went out of their way to harass a medical exemption while breaking social distancing.

They are forcing customers to wear face masks. Ive put my spending there as a customer to almost $0 because of the forced masks. They even have a gaurd to enforce it. I live in America not a communist state.

Customer service getting as bad as Wal-Mart. If is item frequently bought or needed you have to have them order it on line and pick up in 4-6 weeks. You cant go pick up items for project for that day or next day they wont have it in stock or enough.. They are pushing to become online business in my opinion.For most projects you want to see what you are buying on line not possible.

Doesnt make sense, I was gonna get degreaser at 8.55pm. Theyre about to close at 9pm. I forgot my mask in the car .at the register she told me to get my mask otherwise I cant check out. Ridiculously dumb. When I was the only one at the register no one else there. What a waste of my time coming to this place.!! SMH.

Decent prices and selection but impossible to get help. I literally said loudly I sure wish someone would help me with this as a worker walked by.... nothing. I asked another worker. She said she would be right back. Waited 20 minutes never saw her again.

Forcing people to wear mask to enter is ridiculous. Especially when the CDC and WHO all announced they were wrong. Home Depot is a longer drive but well worth it now.

Doug in the paint department has zero customer service skills, especially for the “assistant manager”. I didn’t know the exact name of the paint I was asking to get mixed, and he gave me a bad attitude. He tossed the paint swatch at me across the counter. Then proceeds to say “here” as he sets the five gallon bucket on the counter and walks away. I went to check out and the lady acted like I wasn’t even there. She runs my items, and does not say a word to me. Plenty off other options out there.

During madness of this pandemic I decided to get some stain to finish my deck. The paint department was swarming with masked hustling people on edge keeping their distance not even looking at each other let alone approaching one another. I knew Id be on my own trying to decide on what to use, also clueless as to what would be best. I grabbed a can threw it in my cart and figured here goes nothing! The nicest gentleman asked if I was finding everything I needed, I said yes but he must of seen the doubt in my eyes due to my masked face and said follow me. He gave me a quick overview of what I was looking at with sparkle in his eye of excitement for my project! I never got his name but with the small amount of time he spent with me I will drive to kearney for help over grand island any day.(I work in grand island) Thank you for helping a lost blonde find the perfect stain, my deck turned out beautiful!!! That man deserves a raise and employee of the month!!! Thank you for being so much more than just an essential employee but a caring human!!!

Needed 16 bags of garden soil today and it was raining heavily. They were willing to load tbe bags on a pallet and put it in the back of our truck, instead of us having to load each one!! Thanks Menards and staff.

This was one of the first stores in town to require masks. Makes me feel much safer when shopping there.

Looked online before I drove 40 minutes to buy a dorm room refrigerator to make sure they had the one I was looking for. After arriving, I looked and they only had 3 there, none of which I was looking for. When I asked a representative there if that was all they had, he shrugged his shoulders, turned around and walked away. I took my money to walmart and bought one. Very unprofessional and the customer service was terrible. I will not ever shop in there again.

They do as good a job as the Ive seen I. The past 30 days of keeping customers safe. I told the cashier that I appreciate their efforts.

I shop here often. They have everything I need for every project. They have everything I need for my house and more. I also bought almost all of my christmas gifts here and I just bought my 8 year old nieces birthday gift. And they have great prices and awesome sales.

Like any other Menards...sometimes very helpful staff, other times it is as if you are inconveniencing them. Covid requirements are strict so if you are concerned then be assured...if you are skeptical and would like to have the choice to mask or not, look elsewhere.

They are more worried about asking about a mask or demanding one that they all seem to forgot to ask if we needed any assistance

I love Menards! We dont have one in San Diego but I love visiting my in-laws and our multiple trips to Menards. I always go right before Christmas for the last few gifts, stocking stuffers and doggy goodies as well as after Christmas for any of those last few items/ wants before heading back to San Diego.

I purchased a dishwasher and at the display it said it has a $200 mail in rebate. After the purchase I asked what I needed to do for the mail in rebate because it didnt show anything on the receipt. Turns out the mail in rebate offer had expired. Menards stood behind the display rebate and gave me in-store credit for $214. Much appreciated Menards.

This store is a joke. They cant keep anything stock and not much help.

I love shopping at Menards, the people inside the store are very nice very helpful. I hate going outside to the woodshed. The last time there I bought 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 plywood. Its very hard for me to load it by myself Ive got a bad back and COPD. There were two guys across the aisle telling jokes and laughing. I had to ask him twice for help to load the plywood.They really need to work with them young guys out there for customer service.

Employees back in Kitchen house wear. Really didnt seem to want and help. Also they took 45 minutes to bring to load the dishwasher on cart and staff wasnt happy about pushing it up front to check out. I dont shop here for this reason because of the rude employees. Friend asked me to pick it up for her cause I live in Kearney.

Manager would not honor the price of a product that ended up being misplaced. His excuse was he couldnt identify who put the product in the wrong place. I have never in my life had a manager not stand up for the customer his employee made a mistake I realize that but the advertised price is the advertised price. My family and I will never step foot into I Menards store again. Bad thing is I have a lot of friends that shop at Menards that will stand behind me.

I used to work here, but most of the team members here are very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of different items in stock and even more for order, great pricing and they guarantee the lowest pricing of all local competition. If you have any questions or concerns you can always bring them up the the team members and if they cant help then theyll find you someone who can. Now I didnt give it 5 stars because some of the team members are useless, and the receiving department in the yard can be slow. But over all it is a great place to shop.

The store manager at the Kearney Menards is not anyone that you want to do business with. NO answers to simple questions. I ask who was responsible for making a decision on payments and I was told, NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE. That may be the stupidest answer I EVER received from a business person. Absolutely ridiculous!! If there was a minus rating hed get it!

Always have what we need, staff always willing to help. Would recommend this store if your remodelling, better than the other store in town. The staff is sooooo friendly. Also they have a few food items, and almost anything u would need for your pets! A little of everything!!!
