The most amazing service given to our family by Jeannette. She helped my daughter purchase a Cello. She gave such an insight into the purchase that I had no idea about from choosing the correct bow to case for my daughters Cello. I would definitely go back when she decides to upgrade. Honest and Fair business. I would highly recommend. My daughter left feeling informed and over the moon about her new musical friend the Cello.

I visited Young Musicians last week after my daughters violin instructor suggested that I have her violin looked at. Larry was wonderful, especially considering that Im a dad who knows nothing about violins. He took time out of his schedule to show me everything that I needed to know. He then tuned her violin, added the drops that it needed, and sent me on my way with absolutely no charge. I will definitely be back when it comes time to rent or purchase a violin, and Ill highly recommend this place to all of my friends.

They are very knowledgeable professionals who answered my many questions, and quickly repaired my damaged cello. I just love this shop! They are so kind and professional. I take my son’s violin here for all the repairs. They handle everything so quickly and are very reasonable with pricing.

I came in with a cheap,starter violin that I picked up at a pawn shop. It needed a bow and to be restrung. Larry helped me get it tuned, how to string it,all being light hearted and making it fun. He also took care of me on a bow and rosin. I look foward to learning this wonderful instrument and it is all to Larry at Young Musicians.

I am very impressed with their customer service and transparency. I went this weekend to get my daughter cello string replaced. Though I requested specific brand (because I am not a string expert) they recommended a cheaper string for my 7yrs old cello. They also fixed the bow instead of telling me that I needed a new one.Great customer service!

The visit was such a great experience. The woman that we spoke with was personable, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. We thought the rental prices were reasonable and wish we had gone there for our older sons instrument. The only thing that may prove to be somewhat different is that from the outside, the place looks like a garage (especially considering that it is attached to one). Once you turn in, you can see the signs, and from there, the rest of the experience is great!

After only two visits we will never go anywhere else for our string instrument needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are really reasonable.

Larry & Jeanette are amazing. I have been renting and purchasing instruments and accessories from them for years, and they are extremely knowledgeable and have fair pricing. The do repairs on the instruments as well. I have always been extremely satisfied with our (frequent) visits to their shop.

So glad I found this place! I absolutely love the people here. Jeanette is so kind and soft spoken and willing to help. The prices are extremely fair for accessories and instruments. After a long search I finally found a viola shop I can call home.

They make good violins for a student to use. My parents rented a 3/4 size last year and it was better quality than the 1/2 size I’d had - although the 1/2 size was from the same store. The person who used the 1/2 violin before me must’ve not taken care of it well lol. Anyway the 3/4 size violin projected better but it costed a lot of big moneys because instruments are big price.And I practice 40 hours a day on that violin xD

You can tell immediately that their passion is to set young musicians up for success. They have quality instruments, professionally set up with quality strings, all to encourage kids to keep playing! Great shop run by great people!

I have been going to Young Musicians for years now and let me tell you, you will not find friendlier people to do business with - Larry and Jeanette are simply awesome! I have gone there for the standard items, e.g., Cello strings, rosin, bows, music books etc. I have had my instruments serviced there (most recently had posture pegs installed on my 4/4 Cello), and I purchased my Cello there - all at fair/honest prices. Quick story... when my daughter started playing the Cello a few years ago (before I knew of Young Musicians), not knowing any better, I bought her Cello on eBay. Upon arrival I gave the instrument to her instructor who attempted to set it up but was unable to, he stated that the instrument was unplayable as-is; the bridge was not a fit, the sound post had knocked loose during shipment, and the fingerboard did not seem true. He told me of Young Musicians and suggested I take it there for another look, so I did. Larry at Young Musicians pretty much said the exact same things - acknowledging that the instrument needed some work to be playable and advising me that making such purchases online are gambles. Heres the awesome part - instead of trying to talk me into buying one of their instruments, he offered to work on the Cello to see if my eBay purchase could be salvaged. In short, he had the instrument for a few days and was able to make it playable – all at a fair price! Fast forward a year, I decided to pick up the Cello myself so that my daughter and I could play together and Young Musicians sold me a wonderful sounding instrument - even our instructor (who is nearing completion of a doctorate in Cello performance at UNT) commented on wonderful tone of my new Cello! Do yourself a favor and go to Young Musicians for your stringed instrument needs!

They are efficient, ultra-professional and very helpful. Every visit is a pleasure and Im in and out in less than 10 minutes. They really care about young musicians!
