I love this place and the owner Keith is a great guy. He has a passion for all things comic and game related. He also is a veteran.
Nice, clean place, however, whoever the guy behind the counter was.... not very friendly. Very standoff-ish, thought I went in for some ulterior motive. I know what youre trying to do. Sorry my guy, cant run a business like that. Will not return. If I want to feel like a criminal, ill just check in with my local jail instead.
Closing down. Not a whole lot of options but cute little place
Over priced singles on tcg
The store was poorly stocked when it came to singles. They where a bit pricey on a few of the singles as well compared to competitors. I asked them if they Ran Pokemon Leauge tournaments and they said they had no interest in the competitive communityI will say on a positive note that they where well stocked in other things other than Single cards. As someone who plays a card game competitively I feel like Im not very welcome
Place was well kept. It has a couple tables for people that want to play games. There were a fewer players playing a card game that gave me weird glances when i first pulled in.The products are displayed nicely.I went in to buy dice for my up coming D&D campaign. There was a good selection right in the front, and i found exactly what i was looking for at a decent price. The lady at the counter was nice and immediately greeted me when i came in. She also asked if i needed any help.Overall good experience.
One of the best local game shops I have ever been too! This quaint little shop is very well run and has built up quite the community hosting multiple events every week. If you are looking to getting into any form of card games this is the place to go. The staff are quite knowledgeable and are capable of teaching many of the games they sell. I would definitely recommend this shop!
He was able to help me get me back on track after facing an issue if missing out on my favorite comics. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Wonderful much more casual environment for gaming. Extremely friendly staff/owner. Always willing to help teach new players to a game. Hope the store stays open and flourish for years to come!
Owners and employees are very knowledgeable and are extremely helpful in helping you find what you want. Owners are also very supportive of local artists and are happy to help show off their work. Ive had great experiences and made many new friends just talking to everybody there, staff and other customers alike. Its a great place to find a new game or a new comic series, or just to sit and play a game and meet a few people. I highly recommend Double Daggers Artisan Emporium for anyone interested in comics, games, or local artists.
Nice game store. Clean. Staff was wrapped up in their own conversations but it was easy enough to see everything available. I like that they have nights where you can come play/try out games before buying.
Friendly atmosphere. Fun to play at. Reasonable prices. Shoutout to Keith for doing a great job.
Always enjoy stopping in here. Whether its for a new comic or mtg packs I always pick something up. Really love the Warhammer steins I got there a couple years ago too.
Really nice board game and card shop. They run lots of tournaments, offer free popcorn, and are so nice without being remotely pushy or salesy. They also have comics, books for D&D etc, and a beautiful line of handmade bags and character toys.
Drove over and hour to play in a Pokemon tournament with my wife. We had lots of fun and if they host another one well be back!
The staff treats you with genuine kindness. The owner served our country, and now he does the community a great service with this amazing store.
Staff were nice and helpful. Store is well organized and clean. Nice selection of board games. More Magic cards than Pokemon.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that took the time to explain games and asked the right questions to find a perfect game to get for yourself or as a gift for someone else! Also employ veterans which is always a plus for a small business in my mind.
This is my go to store for comics board games, funko pops and all around fun. Keith and raven are so awesome and their shop always has the best customer service. Both have gone above and some just to get me special ordered.
An amazing place with a very nice and knowledgeable owner. Great variety of merchandise and a wonderful place to gather for game playing. Will frequent often.
Just got done playing MTG Commander here at the Double Daggers and it was alot of fun. The guys I played with were very helpful with helping me understand how things work since I had never played at a local game store before. I plan to make Wednesdays my Double Daggers night.
Decent little shop. Picked up some card sleeves for my Replay Baseball Game. Owner is a veteran
Fun place to shop, play, and learn. Competitive prices to purchase and trade in. Not just locally too, they are competitive and very fair compared to online retailers.
Double Daggers is always great whenever I get a chance to pop in. Everyone is super friendly even when dealing with my kids being with me sometimes.
Love the place. Its a little out of the way but they are always friendly, so its worth the drive out there
Wonderful people and service. I dont feel like Im being judged when I am there like other card/game shops in town. 10/10 service, will always shop there.
Worst customer service in the area. My kids got into gaming about 6 months ago, so we checked out 8 different shops within driving distance. Our 1st visit was on a busy afternoon, so I thought maybe the rude customer service was because we caught them at a bad time. I went back on a quieter evening & got no customer service other than the lady trying to overcharge me when I asked to pay. Out of all 8 shops they were the worst.
Great place to find a good read or play some card games. Staff is super friendly and willing to play with you or teach you new games.
Store was a mess with boxes and bags everywhere and had a terrible odor of rotting and garlic. Had to trip over things to get to where I was going. Comic book organization was a mess in the new comic section. In order to find what you were looking for, you end up having to look in slots, on shelves and on the ground. This is clearly not a comic store, but rather a gaming store hoping to sell a comic or two. I can’t imagine the kind of clientele that are willing to come and play in this kind of environment.
Nice little store
Its a nice new place for comics. Sadly these places are getting rare; so its great there is new shops to offer comics.
Fantastic FLGS. lots of variety in card games and board games. The staff is really friendly and the store has a good layout.
Poorly stocked ... Girl behind counter was more interested in eating then helping. Almost no magic singels selection.
Everyone here knows whats up. Great environment and the owner and manager are super friendly and courteous. Ill continue to do all my shopping here
Theyve got a good selection and active game night members, but it was a little messy. It felt like they were still setting up shop a bit.
I love the comic book store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful!
Theres three game stores in Kenosha and each has its niche. Rockheads caters to the old guard of gaming and comic enthusiasts. Coliseum Games focuses on the newer generation with used videogames, board games, and a bright, family friendly atmosphere. Double Daggers seems to hover in between the two. The store is one large room, with high ceilings but dark walls. Its an in between of the cave like atmosphere of Rockheads and the almost shopping mall sterility of Coliseum games. Theres stuff everywhere. Its not disorganized, but the goods are floor to ceiling. It has a decent selection of comics in boxes, some graphic novels, pop figures and a limited (perhaps a better word is curated) selection of board games. Theres tables set up for gaming. Whats really different about this place is they feature a LOT of local artist goods that are related to nerd and pop culture. Theyre very local focused/conscious, seem to try to ensure they dont cannibalize the other two gaming stores in the area. If you need something really different for that nerd in your life (including if you are that nerd in your life) hit this place up. The staff is friendly and if they dont have something in stock they will make sure they get it for you. FYI, sometimes there is a dog. Its very friendly, sweet, and seems to enjoy skritches, but you should know if you have allergies.
Edit: For Double Daggers who wanted to know why I gave them a 3/5.While I understand that you are a small business, at the time of my experience there it seemed like there was almost no variety to what you had. Most of it was either Magic the Gathering or popular Boardgames and their expansions. It felt not too dissimilar to any other game shop in Kenosha save for your chainmail. The prices compaired to other local places was similar in most every aspect. The final crushing blow for me was that if felt cramped. Like the kind of store where you buy ypur product and go home. Most local gaming shops I have been to have space to play the purchased products and hang out with friends. I understand that your location is small and that you are a new business. This review is not saying you are bad, just that you blend in with the background. You have room to grow. If I go again I will adjust my review accordingly.
Very nice staff and a good variety of products
I love that I can bring my kids and they can find things they are interested in while I also look for myself.
Great place to come if you like any types of tabletop or card games. I play DnD with a group of people here every Wednesday.
Great shop very friendly staff.
Good prices and the staff couldnt be nicer
Very friendly knowledgeable staff great place to shop
Just moved to kenosha and started playing mtg again my friend told me about this place . When I can get off work Ill head there and play mtg on weds and the owner is awesome.
Love Thisbe place, workers are very helpful n friendly recommend this place
Awesome selection of games and they have a lot of events for all ages.
The staff and facility are top notch. I have now visited here twice I was very warmly greeted by I believe to be one of the owners and she introduced me to her husband who I believe is also part owner. They have so much enthusiasm and knowledge of all of the latest card and board games (also have a huge comic section). I explained to them that I played Poke mon and Magic the Gathering as a child and now being that I am 29 I would like to start playing again. She gave me 2 free introduction decks to Magic the gathering and some very good Holographic Promo Poke mon cards to welcome me back into the scene. They offered to give me free sit-down lessons to teach me to play and they also were able to very patiently answer all 50 of the questions I had built up inside my head over the years of missing playing these games. Double Daggers also has the 2nd biggest Poke mon League in all of Wisconsin. They have literally the best prices in town and also Salute us prior service members with an extremely generous Military Discount. I plan to do all of my future purchases here now. When I walked out of the store I felt more as if I made some friends then made a purchase.
This place usually had good stuff.
Great little shop. Pricey though.
Fun experience. Great customer service.
Local comic store. Very cool in side.
JD is so knowledgable and the store was amazing!
Strangely... I keep on getting Virus Warnings, and the IP of it keeps leading me here.
Wonderful staff!! This place is amazing!!
First class, personalized service and advice!
