Great place for souvineers!Everything youd need, they have!

My family and I stopped to shop here back in 2019 during our Alaska Cruise. I was impressed with the selection and the prices in my opinion.I made the vast majority of my purchases on this cruise at this location during the stop in Ketchikan. The boardwalk will basically take you all the way from where your cruise ship is docked all the way to Tongass Trading Company. So prepare to walk a fair bit.My whole family also bought clothing, souvenirs etc. The service was efficient and courteous.

Came from a cruise, somewhat okay service, and good prices. From where I come from, souvenir shops are always way over priced, but in this shop, the prices are very acceptable!

I wish I could give zero stars. Its hard to shop local when the prices are that high. Not to mention the manager sends his minion to check on their competitors prices down the street. Which are much more comparable to online prices. These guys are just ripping people off. Shame all around. Who cares where I work. I have also lived here 30 years. I wouldnt order online so much if your prices werent so damn high.

This is the best locally owned store that has always been supported by lie community and has never had to shut down. They have the best quality of items even though it might be a little expensive or is worth it so it doesnt fall apart like Walmart brand items. They have the best staff and cover everything from baby to toys to kids to sports to fishing you name it they have it all in different Department and store location

I started at Tongass as a seasonal from Washington state. They have a good college/high school summer worker situation with company housing. Great place to work and shop. Probably best in all of the alaskan cruise ports. The further north you go the higher the prices. This place had everything i needed.

So if you want quality outdoors gear in Ketchikan, this is the place to go. It is way overpriced but on an island they can do that. All of your work gear is here too.

Wide selection of clothing and footwear. Prices are Alaskan. They carry Keen shoes and sandals!

A complete general store of outerwear, camping gear, hiking stuff, etc. Bigger than it looks from the outside and right by the port. Easy to get to when on a cruise stop and you forget rain gear (like some people in our party did even though they knew it rains in Ketchikan a lot!).

Very cool store! They have all kinds of fun stuff here. Seems a bit overpriced though...

Over the years my experience shopping with Tongass has been a very good one and I will continue to shop online . I have found everyone to be very helpful and accommodating .

One stop shop for gift to your love ones.

If there would be a minus 5 thats how i would rate my experience at this store today. I work on ships in the shops and we privide a very high level of service. This shop reached today the lowest service level i could get. I had about 7 pieces of clothing selected to try on and when i asked to get a fitting room i was asked to leave my hand bag out...i asked to bring my hand bag in...i even unzipped it and showed i hv nothing in there and they could check inside when i check out. The sales person gave me a sarcastic look and said she will keep my bag at the register. So i stupidly accepted. Entering the fitting room i realused this is the best example of poor service. This shop makes u leave ur belongings...credit card...phones wth them while u try low quality clothing on sale. My bag was left unsupervised in a mess at the register...easily reachable by any stranger while the staff was chatting away personal stories. Accross the road there is a store owned by the same company and when i went to complain about my experience i was told they afe very sorry and their company policy is to ask guests to leave their bags out when they go in the fitting room but maybe they could have allowed me to bring mine in because it was not so big! Really people!!!???

Touristy and overpriced. But I have to admit they have a decent selection. Go upstairs to get away from the t-shirt racks.

Big Ass Store, decent prices, huge variety.

A tad on the expensive side for anything there. I suggest window shopping and hopping on ebay. You will save hundreds.
