Awesome little coffee spot. My girlfriend and I took a trip on the Yankee Freedom to the Dry Tortugas and this place was right next to the boating dock. There were a bunch of people already in line before the business even opened which was cool to see. Coffee was good and the breakfast sandwich surprised me even more. It was HUGE. My girlfriend and I shared one and it was the perfect size to split. Good prices as well and friendly owner.
Now this: this is Key West in all of its glory, shone in its best light: Cuban Coffee Queen!! This place has so much character and stands out amidst an island full of standouts. Truly. This is the original location I think (there are 2 others in KW now) and it is so cool. I believe I just got some sort of vanilla iced latte, but it was maybe a Cuban version? Anyways, easily one of the best lattes Iβve ever had, and I donβt say that without conviction. Along with that, I got the guava bread, and I love the flavor of guava but even this went beyond my expectations. It was so fruity and bursting with flavor even though it didnβt hardly look like much, I regretted sharing it with my dad because I wanted the whole thing for myself! Needless to say, you have to come here at least once in your Key West visit- when you do, you may decide to come back again later in the day or the next. There are typically long lines but trust me when I say is it ever worth the wait! Iβm going back to Key West in a few months and one of my only requests is to come here literally every morning. Itβs that good.
THIS is the location out of the three you wanna go to in Key West. I went to the one in Clinton Market Square and that just didnt have the same vibe and their service was off. This one is a little shack, but they have so much more heart, better quality, and got their ordering process down.Where to begin, their coffee is so good and will hype you up. So much caffeine that I was literally shaking and had to use the restroom stat! TMI, yes, but Im telling you the T!!Anyways, I got their Iced Latte with Vanilla and it was really good. Super smooth and right amount of sweetness with that zing from the Cuban coffee. Perfect to start a morning out with.I also ended up getting their Cuban Toast with Guava. A really perfect complement and it was super simple and tasty! Guava paste, butter, and cream on toasted Cuban bread. Classic and made my morning brighter.Love their color scheme too! Black and yellow makes everything pop!!
Amazing coffee, great staff. There is not an abundance of Starbucks or other chain coffee shops. but you dont need them with this location. The iced coffee is unique in that they put in coffee ice cubes, so despite the heat and the sun your drink does not get diluted. We also tried the breakfast sandwiches and the Cuban roll which were good, but we mainly enjoyed the coffee. They also have cold brew and lattes.
I had there Cuban breakfast burrito. It was awesome! Im not a big fan of Cuban coffee, but this place has the best! Prices are reasonable, and the service is quick, even with a line. I now know why they have a line. The place is awesome for breakfast!
This small coffee is sure lovely and cute. It is next to the beautiful antique gift shop. The store is sure attracted lots of customers. Coffee is ok, but food isnβt. Why, because they messed up my order with someone else. Ordered Main lander with pork roll, received key wester and ham I believed. But any way, that sandwich is not really impressed me and overpriced.
The coffee was amazing! I had finished it before I even got back to the docks and good lord does it get your blood pumping! It is overpriced but good quality. My mom is dairy free and the lady made sure to tell her what coffees had ingredients with dairy. She was very nice and polite. I had my doubts especially with the huge line but it was worth the wait! Itβs not big or fancy, just a small coffee shop. I do wish there was more shade for people who burn easily like me. Overall, fantastic!
Good menu and service. Well organized consistent delivery of food. Food was really good overall, but it wasnβt clear to me that everything was a panini, even the poppers we ordered. While that was tasty, a whole panini of cream cheese and jalapeΓ±os was a bit much. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff and definitely worth a visit though.
Love this place it will be a regular visit on my way back to key west in fact Ill go tomorrow again that amazing
Was sitting at the Green Parrot Bar having drinks and they donβt serve food so we asked the bartender where we could find a great Cuban Sandwich and she said definitely the Cuban Coffee Queen. So we gave it a try and it didnβt disappoint. Great taste and flavor at even better price compared to others. Would buy here again.
Oh my, this place has the best coffee. Highly recommend, especially if youre waiting for your sunset cruise. Stop here after youve checked in for your boat. You wont regret it. Unless you cant sleep at night.
Love this place. Brought back great childhood memories with my Cuban family. We drove to Key West all the way from Monongahela, PA with a toddler....and I would make the trip all over again just for this coffee. Luckily you can get the coffee online. In person is so much better to me though. I will Drink Cuban coffee so you can do stupid things faster any day.
I traipsed around Key West this weekend in search of one thing and one thing only: a carnivorous gluten free sandwich to soak up the 12 mojitos I had.Upon locating Cuban Coffee Queen I was elated to note they had mention of gluten free sandwich bread on their menu. I inquired with the kind chef and there was sudden danger of a lack of gf on premises. After threatening to cry if gluten-free bread didnβt materializeβ as one does β he disappeared across the parking lot and returned with an arm full of bread and a satisfied grin. After 2 bites, my fellow foodie claimed this was the best meal eaten all weekend. After my aggressive sandwich-fueled photo shoot, Iβd have to agree. Iβm also a fan of Cuban coffee and they do theirs well. THE vanilla Cuban coffee was enough to inspire you to take shameless photos of your sandwich while confused onlookers wondered what sandwich magic could compel you to do so.I digress, and implore you to visit here.
Delicious! Trying to duplicate until we are back in Key West next year! The girls who run the shop on Margaret are so friendly. The stand at Mallory, not so much. Always a delight! πππππ
Sooooooo good! Food and coffee were both delicious! We had the Key Wester sandwich which was authentic and HUGE! Staff was friendly and food came out fast. Make the time to find this treasure and eat here. Breakfast served all day. Yummy!
Cuban breakfast burrito was the bomb! I came back 3 times during my stay in Key West. I can not recommend this place enough. They were kind and quick getting my order to me! Love love love this place! Try it. You will not regret it.
I had great food and coffee from them while in Key West, where it is not really easy to get good food. I had the Cuban Queen Mix and the pork was tender and extremely flavorful, properly season and all. I suggest this place 100% and I would go back there when I have the chance.
This place is simple pleasant I went while it was a light rain and the big tree covering the front was a scene setter.I had a Cuban Vanilla Coffee w/2 sugars, and a Cuban Breakfast Burrito w/sausage. The coffee was hot with a mild bite of Con Leche. The vanilla tasted smooth and did not interfere with that natural Cuban taste! The burrito was a fat boy! 1 could feed two people as a small meal. The american cheese was so good on the eggs. This was a great meal! They have a nice arrangement oh shirts, stickers, magnets, and most importantly coffee for showing at your leisure. I did not feel uncomfortable looking at these items. The place is very easy to find, and with ample paid public parking close you wont have a hard time getting here.
I ordered the cuban Carmel coffee. It was delicious. I would definitely go back. I love that she makes coffee the traditional way with the cappuccino machine.
The Cuban Caramel Coffee paired with a βKey Websterβ breakfast sandwich is the best simple breakfast. Sit on the pier, enjoy the sights, smells and pure simplicity of a few moments of bliss! This is one of our favorite places to visit while we are in Key West. Donβt be fooled by the outward appearance!
Best Cuban coffee in Keywest. Small joint but value for money and taste. The owners are very kind and accommodating. Do not miss. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing! Delicious, friendly. Wish I had one close to home.
Absolutely amazing food and a superb location! right next to the marina, lots of places to grab a Cuban coffee and take a stroll to enjoy the nautical view. All with the breakfast sandwiches are absolutely scrumptious on pressed Cuban bread period we tried the key wester and the mainlander! Bam! Dont miss this one if youre looking for an awesome Cuban coffee and breakfast.
So make sure when buying Merchandise from here that you point to exactly what you want. They have T-shirtβs and long sleeve shirts and I told them clearly I wanted no sleeves, a T-shirt. They come individually wrapped so I couldnβt tell which one I got. I trusted they (2 of them I purchased) were what I asked for. Unfortunately they were long sleeve and I love in Florida!!! I donβt need long sleeve anything. I just got back from my 7 hour drive from Key West and took them out to find I got the wrong ones. So I called and of course there is nothing they can do. So my tip to Cuban Coffee Queen is to ask your customer to point out the style they want on your display. The coffee was okay. My favorite part was the Cuban flare.
Both this and Duval St locations are great. Friendly staff and fantastic coffee.
Due to my seafood allergies, I was advised to eat from this establishment because it was the safest place to eat. Within walking distance from where my family dined. I had the BLT on a wrap with plantain chips and water. Not bad!
Another stop along my way of trying numerous cuban coffees. With increased popularity from the Travel channel, hotel room advertising, and the main thing seeing the crowd of people at this quaint walkup stand...i knew it must be good. Tasty and potent cuban coffee. A must visit. Never mind the friendly chickens...lol
A little pricey, but best coffees you will ever have. Breakfast sandwiches were also amazing.
Talk about some of the best Cuban Coffee and sandwiches. This is a favorite go to every morning while visiting the Keys. Such friendly staff and great food. Check them out, you wont be disappointed. One of my favorites for quick serve.
Coffee is fantastic buying there packaged coffee is a must. however their Cuban sandwiches are ok Iβve had better.
I cannot get enough of this amazing coffee while Im on vacation!!
The coffee, cafe con leche, is delicious. With steamed milk instead of water and add some sugar, it is a very good drink. It has espresso in it to keep you going all day or most of the day and does not have the server crash like most coffee gives you. The best deal to try a bit of the food and coffee is the sunrise special where you get half of a breakfast sandwich and the coffee to try. Guarantee you will be going back each day to try some more. The roosters in the parking lot like to beg for your food too, so they will get close, within arm reach, looking at you for a bite. You can also buy their coffee grounded or whole bean to take home to brew your own.
Always a Key West favorite of ours. Get your selfies with their iconic wall and line up for some great coffee, iced confess or smoothies. (Also sell some breakfast) I got the frame with vanilla, it was smooth and sweet, delicious. Wife got the vanilla iced coffee coincidentally, it was good with a bit more bitter than sweet if thats your preference. This is a to go place, no seating. The location is very close to the charters for fishing as well as action/snorkel like Sebago HOWEVER, the line can get long so dont try to squeeze this in before your charter trip unless you have 20+ minutes to be there. Parking is easy and close. There is some great shopping nearby, follow the road that is next to the souvenir shop toward the water to find some nice clothing and jewelry while you sip your drink. Please thumbs up the review if helpful and follow us for other Key West favorites!
The outside esthetic was cute and done by a real artist. People behind the counter not authentic Hispanic seems like that can be the norm for some places. Price for the souvenirs can be a dinner for some overall just another CupOJoe for me and some plain Jane bread with butter ehhh could be sweeter ;
The best. I got a different drink each time and they were all amazing!
Great Cuban sandwiches and Cuban coffee! The only downside is the roosters they attack you! Be ready! They are waiting for food!
Nice small and simple. The Cuban coffee is pretty good and the Cuban sandwich mix was pretty good. The sandwich was bigger than I inspected it was almost a sub style sandwich.
Reliably good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Get there early to avoid lines.
Great coffee, Cuban mix and steak sandwiches were also very good.
Awesome Cubin Queen Sandwiches. Friendly service.
Awesome Cuban Turkey sandwhich, just the right touch of everything on a sandwhich!
Great place, great coffee. Highly recommend, a must stop when in Key West
What an awesome little spot! Although the croissants felt like they were basically the frozen/toss in a toaster variety, the coffee and smoothies, as well as sandwiches were on-point! Staff was fantastic, despite the sheer amount of business they were doing.
A fast and delicious place to grab breakfast in Key West. The Cafe con Leche was delicious, even better paired with a sandwich as a combo deal. Hubby liked the breakfast burrito and smoothies. Very reasonably priced for area too! Plus, thereβs a great Key West photo opp on side of building. Just be prepared to find or pay for parking if driving there. Hubby circled block while I waited for food.
The make a very nice dark strong drip coffee. A good roast
Very nice and simple spot the coffee was good. The food was not the best but it was a good Cuban sandwich they just could have cooked it a little longer. If youre looking for a great spot and great coffee this is the place for you. Give him a try next time youre in town
Fast service, great food, great coffee! Friendly employees. Highly recommend!!
This place is entirely hit or miss when it comes to the service.Food and coffee: 5/5 every timeService:First time I came, had a great experienceβpleasant and polite man at the counter, got my order fully right.Last time I went I was serviced by a rude woman who kept repeating my order back to me wrong each time she asked. Once she finally got the right order, I asked if I could get a glass of tap water (from a sink)βApparently they had no sinks and had no water (which is kind of ironic, since itβs a kitchen. How do they wash their hands?)Lastly, I asked to upgrade to a 16oz, and was given a 12oz.Bottom line: Hit or miss when it comes to service, but the food and coffee are always fantastic.
The Cuban sandwich was AWESOME!!! The coffee was alright. The staff is helpful and price is great for what you get!
Their coffee is fantastic, also loved their smoothies. Stop in and then sit on the dock and watch the world go by.
Horrible customer service. My spouse ordered rice and beans and paid monies with intentions of giving a tip. Unfortunately, the cashiers biased behavior thwarted our actions when I and he noticed that he gave her money in her hand and, she returned his change on the counter vs handing to him like she received it. And,His hand was out to received the change. She did the same for our friend. We noticed for customers not dark in skin color she placed their money in their hands. Just rude! So, I would never return. I went one block over to AnnasCafe and the customer service and food was great and worth the price. I even tipped the cashier and cook 5.00 more. Check out Annas on Greene Street.
Best coffee you will find anywhere and you can also buy it by the bag.The line is sometimes long but its absolutely worth the wait
Never had real cuban coffee so I cant really comment on the authenticity, I legally liked it either way. Service was fairly quick and polite. If I am ever in Key West again I will visit again
Always reminds me of my Abuelas Cuban Coffee! Cuban coffee is fantastic, breakfast sandwiches and burritos are killer and lunch sandwiches are top notch. Portions are good and prices are right! I love Cuban Coffee Queen and either walk over from Hyatt or have them deliver to our room or poolside after a long night and it is always just what the Dr ordered!. We eat here numerous times per trip, every trip and have never been disappointed.
Great coffee, will definitely wake you up! My iced mocha was awesome with our sandwich and the heat. If you like coffee, this is a must try while on key west.
If your looking for really good coffee this is the spot! There is always a line but it goes really quick. This place will not disappoint! The breakfast sandwiches are delicious!
Hands down, the BEST breakfast in Key West! We were in KW 5 days and we ate here every morning. Their breakfast sandwiches are fresh, delicious and huge portions! We didnβt even need lunch because our sandwiches filled us up until dinner. The coffee is SO GOOD! Employees were wonderful- super kind, inviting and had great suggestions on what to get. Quick service as well. My only wish Is that there was one in our hometown! Canβt wait to come back on our next trip!
