I usually love this store. God only knows how much money I have spent here. However today (its a sunday) I go in and have this boy fast paced follow me back to the plumbing area. Asks if he could help me, I said no sir I know what Im after. He informs me that they closed 3 minutes ago. I realized this kid is politely telling me to leave. Sure kid Im driving to Lowes in Longview when Im 3ft from the item that I need. No problem I will get out of here so you can clock out and go play your video games.

Be advised that East Texas hardware does not do returns on power tool. Go to Lowe’s or Homedepot were they stand behind their tools. I brought in a hammer drill that was used once and never worked. I came in once for the return and was told that they needed a receipt to do the return. I found the receipt brought it back the next day and then was told it was outside of the return timeline. I have been a committed supporter of this local business for over 10 years and have spent thousands of dollars with this company. Today was the last time I will buy anything from them.To add, the general manager (Kevin) was too busy to even talk to me about the matter.

The prices are much too high, but they do seem to have one of anything you might want. Hardware stores like this are very rare. If you cant find a part anywhere else, this place might have it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. At least four employees asked if they could help me, or if I was finding everything I needed. I wasnt even in the store 30 minutes. I dont give five stars for anyone. If the pricing was a little better, this would get my very best rating. I still give it a 4.5. The highest I have ever rated.

Great service, usually. I wanted to update this review since the last one was too short.If you want good - personal service and a decent selection - check them out. Nearly all the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.In fact one young lady (I wish I remembered her name) asked what I was looking for when I told her it was not on the shelf but maybe in one of the totes in the back. She asked where it would be on the shelf, wrote down the item number, when to the back, found it in the tote and brought it to me. (All this after another employee just blew me off.) Like I said, usually great service and when I get the young ladys name, I will update this and let the manager know! She is a keeper!I will continue to shop at East Texas Hardware, I believe in supporting small/locally owned businesses.

Didnt do what they said,. Bow there for over 3 weeks, parts in stock, shouldnt take but a few days to get the part in and still didnt get it fixed. More concerned about themselves then the customer. Will not spend my money there again. To many good places to do business with.

They have had ever breaker we have needed for our home and have almost anything weve needed they are like 2 dollars higher but at least I can be a sured they will have what I need.

Loved the clean, homey atmosphere. Attentive to needs of customers when looking for items. Cashier not very friendly. That was the only disappointing experience with this store. (Probably just caught her on an off day)

They have a great archery pro shop with guys who do great work!

Ive been to this store many times. The staff is especially helpful and we are able to get what we need quickly. In addition to the normal things you would expect to find at a hardware they also stock unique home decor and outdoor furniture.

I keep reading about their great customer service. Its pushing 2 weeks now, and Im still waiting to see it.I finally found the Case knife in the color I wanted on their website. It said it was in stock, so I ordered it. Ill give them credit, the shipping was very fast, unfortunately, they sent the wrong knife. Ive contacted them several times now. I sent pics of what I received, and the the invoice as proof. I have not gotten a single response from them. It now says the knife is out of stock on the website. Im beginning to think they didnt have it in stock when I ordered, and they just tried to substitute a different color, hoping I wouldnt say anything, and now theyre ignoring me. Yeah, Outstanding customer service!

Theyre well stocked for the most part, but they always seem to not have the things that I look for. I went there to buy a 5 x 7 foot tarp but theres no more stock of it. Inside, there were a selection of sizes to choose, including 10 x 20 and smaller. The prices were a bit higher than the other store that I go to but I didn’t have to search for help like you do there.

Super helpful staff that doesnt bug you if you dont need help. Items always exactly where you saw them previously. And the barn cats are friendly and cute!
