Its a grocery store. Prices in line with other stores in area. Only thing special about FC is they have greater presence in the area

Food City is generally consistent with all aspects of their business no matter which store you visit. Not 5 stars because Im not sure the method of staffing projection based on customer traffic. However, just as all facets of their business no matter the store the employees in the front (cashiers/baggers) are either absolutely slammed or you have 2 or 3 employees helping bag your order because they dont have enough business for the # of staff. If the ones who make the schedule could find a better balance with staffing I would have no problem with a 5 ⭐ rating!

Needs cleaned up. Very bad restroom for customers.Wanted bagels from the bakery but seemed to be days old. And pre pak; sign outside stated fresh Einstein Bagels available..🙄

A good place to shop for groceries and prescriptions. I never have to wait in line to pick up my Rx. They have what I need or they can get it the next day. They have great employees.

Over priced, very little variety, sometimes expired items still on shelves, and not very clean. The only reason I didnt give a 1 star is because the cashiers are nice and after you spend so much money there you get free gas visits.

Always enjoy shopping at the Food City in Blountville. Very nice and helpful employees and always have the items Im there to pick up.

I go there to get certain things other places do not have, but its insanely expensive knowing what other places charge for the same item!

We recently decided to take our business down the road to the other grocery store in Colonial Heights. Time after time, my groceries were rang up with the wrong price. It mostly happened on meats and deli. I realize mistakes occasionally happen but the occurrence was often. When management was brought over, they acted like it was a major inconvenience to address the issue. I’ve never been made feel this way at the competitor.

I love Food City in Colonial Heights! People that work there are so helpful and nice. Rarely do I have to stand in line there. They are ready to open another register if you get to the front of the store. Always fresh vegetables and their meat is always fresh. Very nice and helpful people are there to help in anyway. Thank you Food City.

Absolutely fabulous experience! I was in about 8:15ish PM. Store was extremely clean! They have masks for free if you forget yours. (These days thatd be like forgetting your bra 😂) Young lady in the meat department was an absolute angel! I think her name was Tara? Then! Hunter my cashier was a wonderful young man. He rang me up, carrierd on very nice conversation, and bagged my groceries! Not like the other young folks on the register who are usually too busy talking amongst themselves to acknowledge their customer. (That would be my only complaint)

They are terrible at answering their phone and providing customer service over the phone. Waiting for 10+ minutes before I decided to just hang up and try a different store

If you have no bread. And you are stocking beer on the toilet paper and toweling shelves you are truly not serving the community. When I shopped today I didnt need bread or toweling or toilet paper, thank God. But for shoppers who needed these items they were out of luck. The stores should have been more responsible at the start of this media panic and placed limits when management should have realized what was going on. Instead, Food City, Walmart, etc is piling money in the bank at the expense of normal shoppers who are suffering due to the hoarders.

This is a nice, clean store. The employees are very friendly. We use this Food City quite a bit. Selection is generally good. We are Food City club members and like many, our only complaint is about prices. We have learned over the years to shop the sales and use store brands. Meat, produce and bread prices are generally too high and we use Kroger for those, saving about 10% at all times. With that said, we will continue to use this store on an as-needed basis. Again, the folks there are very nice.

I try to use Food city for most of my grocery shopping, as it is a local store. So many stores today are just more money into the pockets of the same people who were already born with a platinum spoon in their mouths. Most of the time, the employees of food city are friendly and helpful.As for the other places, (*Waltons *ahemcough, cough) to get groceries locally and do not keep money in this area, so shopping at Food City is, at least, headquartered locally.

Everything was great as usual, except, there were no decaf pepsi.

Went down hill since last visit. WAY less Vegan options. They were the store for Vegan in Kingsport for me. Now Ill have to go elsewhere. Very disappointed in this.

They have a good selection of food and drink. The meat and seafood department was very friendly and helpful on how to prepare the foods I give the meat and seafood department 5 stars. The rest of the staff was not friendly or helpful.

They encourage Local Farmers to have their products/produce in their store.

I have the Ibotta app for cash back that has my value card already scanned which sis very nice. Food City has great sales on Fridays and their Midnight madness sales are great besides the crowd. But they have gotten better with staffing for those busy days. Its a convenient location and I can get my prescriptions filled at their pharmacy while I shop.

Only needed to pick up a few items. Used the self checkout (forgetting I had produce to be weighed). The guy over the self checkout came over to help making my checkout experience quick and frustration free.

Love to shopping there love there services and cashers are wonderful to talk to get great service on that too if other groceries stores were like them you wouldnt have to go anywhere else I give them 5 stars

To be honest I think this place looks sad compared to all the newer Food City being built in the Tri Cities area. Although they were one of the only Food Citys who could do a specialized cake for my youngest daughters 13th b-day back in September. Not saying it isnt a good store but I think it needs some construction and clean up done to it in order to look just as nice as the other ones popping up in the surrounding area

I was looking for some frozen pizzas for a sleepover. Wild Mikes hit the spot and it was for a great price. The checkers at Food City are always helpful and friendly.

The staff was very friendly. They noticed a drop in the milk and got me a new carton. Most stores would not have done that.
