I have been coming to Nu Hearing in Kingsport for a few years and I am very pleased with them. They have a friendly, helpful staff. Craig is extremely knowledgeable and an expert in his field. The fitting experience is very quick and easy. I have been wearing hearing aids for over 10 years and I’ve been a customer of other audiologists, but I can’t imagine going anywhere else now. I highly recommend Nu Hearing And I’m sure the experience will be excellent at any of their Tri-Cities locations.

Outstanding, both technically and customer service. I tried two other companies that sold hearing aids before coming to Nu-Hearing, and they are buy far the best! This is how a hearing aids should sound, not like you are in a big tin can. They take the time to check everything very good. They dont just stick their hand out for money, they care. They take the time and actually work with you to make sure your hearing aids are a good fit. I have been going to another place and the lady is nice but didnt know her business. I had already bought three aids from her in the past but not again. I am very glad I discovered the difference in these better aids. I can actually understand. When I came here I wanted something different, but she explained that that kind would only last a little while and would not be able to adjust if my hearing went down fast. Nobody else ever explained the difference to me. They honestly care and take time with you. Come here to hear!

I hear great with my six year old Widex aids.This office is very popular and I always see someone I know from church or work when I am here. I am always surprised as we look at each other and laugh “I didn’t know you had hearing aids”. But if you ask around this is where everyone comes for great service and caring people.Even though it is a busy office, anytime I have had a problem they work me in. I also like they have a lab on location and can do so many repairs without sending your aid out or the expense of repairs.This is where friends send friends

I have been a patient with NuHearing for over 10 years. I get flyers and emails, and see online deals on a frequent basis. Get a pair locally or online? Based on experience, its a no-brainer for me.Its not only a cash/credit card outlay, it’s a daily lifetime experience, so I take time to consider the many factors. Too often I hear many negative comments from hearing aid wearers (and previous wearers that have quit using them.) 1. Most frequently, they dont (or didnt) help that much. 2. Theyre okay at home or for watching TV but dont like wearing them in public. 3. There helpful at work, but I take them off as soon as I get home.Most of these users bought theirs online, but some purchased from a local source. Most made poor choices or wasted their money.PROS and CONS1. Online - Pros: Generally, less expensive. Cons: No pre-testing, no personal fitting or consultation concerning best selection for your individual needs, etcetera.2. Local, trained specialists: Pros - Personalized testing, face-to-face discussion for the best selection for you, personal fitting and adjustment of receivers, speaker hoods, and speaker invisible wires to fit your specific ears. Free visits for tweaking frequency settings needed for your personal requirements, for changes that DO occur over time (aging), for job/work environment changes, etc. Cons: More expensive (but see last line below.)3. Choosing the right provider for you. Some of the complaints Ive heard are, unfortunately, by friends and relatives who even purchased their hearing aids from local businesses. Thats sad, because their provider hadnt been able to make satisfactory adjustments to meet their personal requirements. Thankfully, I chose NuHearing based upon their outstanding local ratings. Subsequently I’ve maintained my 10-year relationship with them because of the friendly atmosphere, personal attention, and professional expertise I experienced with them. Ive witnessed direct communication with the manufacturer to resolve an issue I was having. Im always impressed in seeing the continuing awards from the manufacturer and the annually repetitive “Best Hearing Aid Specialist commendations awarded locally. It all boils down to “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR when you choose NuHearing as your provider.

The staff and Dr. Haltom are absolutely the best. My mother received new hearing aids last year and is so pleased. My father received new hearing aids 6 months ago from another hearing center and has had problems with them the whole time. Nu Hearing Center has been so helpful to get them working correctly. I would highly recommend Nu Hearing Center.

Nice folks but they have me really second guessing my decision to buy from them. Replacement parts sent to another client. Ok, No problem. Wrong parts sent. Ok, We can get it worked out. 3rd call, parts shipped on 13th, be patient she says.it will take a couple weeks because you know how the mail is sometime.Wait 2wks.. I am patient. Never were shipped. Lady says, I will get them on the mail tomorrow. Im patient but this aint fun any more.. Yall could use a staff meeting at this point. Find out whats going on in your co-workers lives, that stuff like this repeatedly happens. On 02/03 the domes were apparently shipped to a client with a simular name(not me) on 02/13 the domes were (to be)sent but never sent, per conversation on 02/26. On 02/26 was told there will be a follow up call on 03/04/20. I got hope. As for where the missing dome is??? I pulled the aids to go to sleep and noticed it missing. So the reply below is slightly inaccurate. Hoping the domes show up today 02/28 or leap day.

The staff was so much more professional than the other two places I visited. This group did what they said they would do, They took so much time and answered every question professionally, I was sent there by a friend and cant thank her enough, Nuhesring was there to help me hear, not just sale me a hearing aid, Their product knowledge and expertise in helping me hear better in my life, not just their office, made my life better. NuHearing is no money down and let me try two different technologies so I could comfortably compare and decide. I choose the Widex Beyond 440s and am thrilled with the comfort and the fit. They connect to my iPhone and the app is awesome. I am living my life and enjoying it again. I didnt realize how much I was still struggling with my previous aids. The office is nice and smiling and the welcoming professional staff is so refreshing. The previous company I was with the young nan there was always late and looked like he had just rolled out of bed. Once they got my money and I was out if my trial, I was just a bother everytume my hearing aid had a problem and they stayed in for repair more than they stayed in my ears! I just wish I had come here the last time and not wasted my time or my money at the other place. I love the staff at Nu Hearing and I love my hearing aids!

Good customer service, explained hearing aids and hearing loss after hearing test. Has a thirty days trial period. Aids are costly but they do help.

Dont put it off. If you think you have hearing loss go to Nu Hearing. This is an absolute life changer.
