We were very impressed with their storage facility in Kingston, NY. The gent who set us up was very helpful and very pleasant, and he explained everything we needed to know. The rate was good, they threw in a second month which was great for us because we only need it short term. I would recommend Extra Space, and especially the Kingston location. The Assistant Manager was very personable, professional and answered all of my questions, along with thoroughly explaining the process. The place is securely gated and very clean. The location is very easy to find. We are first time renters and this was a very positive experience for us.

The customer service and facilities are fairly good HOWEVER, and buyer beware, if you’re looking for long term storage **avoid Extra Space at all costs**. I put my things in storage here 2 years ago agreeing to a rate of ~$125/mo. A few months later I got a notice my rent was being increased to $165/mo, and most recently to a whopping $245/mo. And according to many comments I found online, ES is notorious (like #1 in the industry notorious) for this kind of price gouging. I don’t have time to move everything to a different company at the moment, but believe me I will be ASAP.

Never had an issue with Extra Space Storage. We located somewhere different only reason why we left.

The gentleman was friendly and helpful. Setting up an account was easy and simple. Price is steep other than that my experience was good!

This past weekend a group of us were cleaning out two storage units at the Sawkill Rd location. Matt Blanchard was the manager on duty. I can not say enough about him. He met us with a smile on his face and never lost it all day - regardless of how many times we bothered him(for the bathroom key!). He was professional, friendly, helpful, and compassionate of our situation. The facility was clean, welcoming, and secure. I can not thank him enough. I do not hesitate to recommend this facility and Matt should have a raise!

Very appreciative for staffs immediate attention & efforts to correct serious mistakes made by movers including locking storage unit in the open position with a combination lock. Thankfully staff notified me immediately & assisted in securing my storage unit properly. Had it not been for their attention to this matter this could have been a devastating problem. Thanks again!! Great Experience every year! Wonderful staff! End of fall every year I store my car until mid March early April inside a big storage shed. I must say the Manager there Matt is truly knowledgeable and outright a pleasure to talk to. He went above an beyond for me!! He recommended I disconnect my battery and me being not handy with cars laughed. Matt then said I can do it for you takes 3 minutes tops. Not only did he disconnect the battery but he also backed the car into the unit for me and reconnected it for me when I picked it up. I will continue to return to the Kingston Ny site every Fall/Winter.

I can gladly say that the service i received was beyond outstanding. All it took was a few brief questions and Katrina knew exactly what I needed. Honestly, before i arrived I wasnt sure of exactly what i needed and expected nothing but stress and convoluted questions aimed directly at my wallet. However, everything was very much to the contrary. Katrinas sincerity and attention to detail had me breathing a sigh of relief. Weve rented two units at the Kingston, NY location, both with very positive experiences. The first unit, which we still are renting, is clean and the common space is well kept. The second, we ended up not using! Catrina and Matt were both very accommodating in helping us resolve this issue. All in all, they have been professional to deal with and I wouldnt hesitate to rent at this very convenient location again, especially with Catrina and Matt there to help things along.

Generally good experience. The folks I spoke with on the phone were nice. There was apparently a glitch in the system where they lost my reservation, which I discovered just a few days before taking my things there for storage. But they ironed it out in the end.

People are very pleasant, otherwise is pretty much exactly what youd expect. Be aware that you have to pay administration fees, provide your own lock/purchase one of theirs, and pay flood insurance. However, that is most likely not much different than other places, and the access hours are pretty damn good for people with everyday needs (6am-10pm).

Both Catrina and Matt were very helpful, they had an answer to every question i had and made it a very pleasant experience. The grounds and units are well maintained and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a storage place.

Although there was a delay in getting my unit that I paid 4 online I was satisfied with the outcome bcuz I was given a double discount 4 having 2 wait due 2 their errors.
