We have had Mad City out to our house twice in the past 3 years. The first time they replaced all of our windows with the exception of our bay window. Recently, the replaced the bay window but with a flat window with slides. Wish I would have done this years ago. The windows are energy efficient and make the house look great. Price was decent and the sales team didnt over sell. Installation was completed in one-day with no disruption to our home - even our beagles were receptive to their pet friendly team. We wanted to replace our 20 year old porcelain tub/shower with a walk-in shower. The salesperson did a nice job walking us through all of the options, what was driving the price higher to allow us to make the best decision. He also suggested removing the header above the old tub to make it more open and larger. Boy, what a difference that made to the entire bathroom.We were quoted 3-4 weeks from order to scheduling and it happened right within that timeframe. We then did install a week later. Team showed up on-time as scheduled and completed the new walk-in shower within 1 day. The next day we noticed what we thought was an issue and they came back out within an hour to look at it. Explained how it was normal for this type of tub and if we ever had an issue, not to worry because lifetime warranty.We have had it for 3 months now and are extremely happy with this purchase. Mad City was very professional, on-time, efficient and had great follow-up. We would recommend a tub/bath replacement by them for anyone who asks. Great overall experience!

Our shower/tub and enclosure project went very well. The plan meeting went through exactly what we wanted and we had the opportunity to select appropriate sizes, specific colors and accessory items. The only aspect of the plan which I was surprised to find was not discussed was that the installers would need a location to cut enclosure panels to exact dimensions. The garage worked fine for this and all went well.

Mad City did a wonderful job upgrading our outdated bathroom. They installed a new bath tub and shower, and updated the plumbing and the walls around the bath doing seamless job with a clean finish. As a very tall person I was especially glad of how they were able to raise the height of the shower head and install a new rain shower head with a luxury feel.

The sales representative was very helpful and courteous. We had an awning window that was replaced for a garden window which we absolutely love. The installers had that and another window installed in a few hours. They even came on a Sunday to install! The garden window was made to size so very little modifications were needed. The initial experience was pretty good and everything seemed relatively streamlined. They certainly know how to sell the products that they offer.We ordered three windows to be replace back in March 2021, and it took at least twelve weeks to get in (which I wasn’t too surprised or concerned over). The first installation service took place on June 16th 2021. The two windows that were completed turned out great, and the gentleman installing them was professional and kind, but found out that our third window was measured incorrectly.I was told that the new one was ordered and would be done in a couple of weeks. On August 12th, we still had not heard anything so we called to check in. They said it would be completed by the end of august with installation being done in September. On September 14th, we still hadn’t heard anything, so we called again. They said that it would be finished at the end of September with installation being done in October.At this point we had been waiting for 7 months to get this project complete and had very little communication through the whole process. There supposedly were shortages that they were experiencing, but none of this was communicated with us. We were just left there waiting to hear from them.We requested a discount when speaking to the person about the status of our order, and she said we can request that when they call to check in on the process as the window is being put in. We finally got our window installed on October 12th, 2021 and we never received a call. We received NUMEROUS calls with the first two window installations to ask how our experience was and to give them a 5 star review. We received zero calls for this one. So instead I am writing a truthful review in hopes that this will help others out there who are looking to have windows installed.Needless to say, if you’re expecting a timely or openly communicated experience, you may want to look elsewhere. The installation was great, but it took the majority of the year to get it done and a lot of follow up on our end. It’s also on the pricier end of the spectrum, which is what disappoints me even more. Not the kind of service I want or expect from a company that charges as much as they do.

They put in a shower that turned out great. Love the quality and features of the product, learned a lot and glad we went with this insert. They were prompt, friendly, and worked hard. I was intentionally consulted, updated, and asked for feedback throughout the process, which made me feel assured and that I’d have the service I need. Love the warranty here, too, so a solid investment for us.

Be aware, this company bribes customers to obtain 5 star reviews (I was promised a $100 gift card). Unfortunately their product isnt worthy of 5 stars so they resort to manipulative tactics. Our top of the line windows have huge gaps unless locked down and feel notably cold when temperatures drop outdoors. The quote was also considerably higher than a local contractor that would have been our first choice if it werent for Mad Citys financing offers. We also waited almost a month beyond the quoted time frame for installation.I considered fewer stars, but the local contractor hired to install the windows was very polite and professional.

I was very pleased with how fast the sales rep was able to come to my house. (within a few days) He was very professional and was very knowledgeable about the windows. He didnt pressure me to buy anything and didnt give me a time line. He knew I was looking at other companies. Before leaving he even offered to help me out with anything that needed to be done around the yard. He knew my husband had recently passed away. The windows themselves are amazing and I am much warmer this winter than last. There is no leaking and they look great and are easy to clean!

My husband and I were on the fence on whether or not to use Mad City for new windows. But so glad we did. It was a lot of money, but definitely worth every penny. The installation was very professional. And they look amazing. Not a single regret!

We used Mad City for a bathtub/shower replacement. The consultation was amazing and very helpful. The shower install took two days and turned out nice. They did return later to replace a ceiling tile in the basement after they fixed the plumbing. The old one was exposed in a ceiling tile. The only thing that kept me from rating them a five was some of the trim in the bathroom was not put back.

Mad City installed two storm doors, a new bathroom window and a shower surround for us. The installers worked fast and efficiently, and were quick to adapt when challenges popped up (its an old house and getting the old tub out required creativity). Very happy with their service.

Do not choose with mad city windows. Very very poor installation of windows and door and very very poor follow-up customer service. We had all of our windows replaced in our home by mad city, and all now need to be re-wrapped. We have exposed nails, caulk left on all over our siding, on my plants below the windows, the corners of windows do not match up, and the multi thousand dollar sliding door they installed does not lock. We spent $24,000 and have called 5 times. We still have not had anyone come and assist with follow-up getting this fixed. Installation occurred before Easter. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Choose a different company.

Needed the bathroom redone again. First time my brother and I gutted it over 20 years ago. This time we Needed a change. Looked at menards didnt like what was available. Wanted something different. Called mad city and see what they had. They what we looking for. Wife picked out everything she liked. When time came to install we were surprised that everything was 120% better than expected. I do some over nights and stay at some hotels and like I m at hotel when Im at home. Great work mc. Wish I added 1 more grab bar. The gentleman that did the installation did a excellent job also.

Overall, I am happy with the final product (bath remodel). But the installation took about a week, then needed a plumber to come out after the fact to fix a leak and some plumbing issues. Mad City was good about fixing the problems that arose, but the installation took a lot longer than anticipated.

Not a local owned company and it shows.High pressure 2 hour sales presentation for windows. After the appointments I looked into them more in depth as they are new to the area I found they are based out of Madison WI and were bought by a large firm out of Florida in 2019 which is backed by York capital. I recommend shopping local owned companies as they are better priced and not high pressure. Window quality was similar to that of the company we went with.

Our sales man was, well, a typical salesman. I did not appreciate that he took charge in my home & told me what was going to happen, rather than asking me what I wanted & was kind of brass. However, he did get us what we wanted & made sure to get us the best deals they had. The windows took 2 weeks longer to be made than the longest time frame they gave us. Which meant that they then had to wait to be installed because it was too cold by that point. Once they came, though, the man installed them within the day. It made me nervous having only 1 installer, & Im sure he could have very much used the help of another person, but he got it done. He was careful of my kids being around & roped off the area so they knew how close to not get. The company promised no one would use crude language, however the installer did indeed curse multiple times. Im sure these are better quality windows than what Menards or elsewhere offers, but well over double the price. Just some things to keep in mind if considering MCW. We are overall pleased with the end result, though.

Ive had windows installed by AHT, Champion and Mad City over the last 4 years. I used Mad City for my largest install and regret it. I would not recommend Mad City. Sloppy work. Poor lead clean up and handling. Window wrap is stained and dented. Windows are hard to lock. No quality issues with the AHT or Champion.

I was looking to have two windows replaced in September. When the salesman, Travis, showed up to provide us with a quote, he sold us on his companys high quality, expert installation, and quickest turnaround of any other window companies in the area. Even though his windows were the highest quote, he promised 4-6 weeks, even with the pandemic. We ordered two windows from him expecting to have them in well before November.After six weeks of no contact, I tried to set up an installation date, only to be told they never promised 4-6 weeks. They told me it was now 8-10 weeks, but my windows were being made and would ship the next week. This was at the beginning of November. I was told I could not cancel my order because I signed a form saying I could not back out after three days.I was finally called in mid-December and told my windows were available for installation. We scheduled for a Monday, but I was called a few days before that date to have them need to reschedule our installation date again.On the installation date, the installers arrived on time and were very friendly. However, the weather turned as they were finishing up and began to snow. Once all of the snow melted a few months later, I am finding nails, wood scraps, plastic, and even tools left behind.All said and done, it took them over 15 weeks from the order date to installation. Had I known they could not meet their promised timeline, I never would have gone with them and would have delayed until the spring. Their windows seem to be high quality, but they were far too expensive when you factor in the poor customer service, horribly unhelpful and unreliable salesman, and poor quality control. If you are looking for window companies, do not go with Mad City Windows.

High pressure sales with a same-day commitment to negotiate a better price does not work for me. The second the sales guy said that he can only get me the best price if I sign today....I was done.Also...just a suggestion. Know your market. If you know that your average cost to replace 10 windows in a home is more than $20K, then maybe a home with a current value that makes the cost of replacing windows significantly greater than 10% of the homes value might not be your best demographic.I am confident that these are high quality windows, and if a different home, they might even be worth it, but the pressure to make a commitment same day, with such a high price tag, made but easy for me to walk away.

We had a complete shower install done. From start to finish, the project went smoothly and the end result was exactly what we wanted! What was spectacular was that the job was completed in one day, just as promised. I was skeptical but MadCity delivered on this promise. The other surprise was the initial sales presentation was more relaxed and not as high pressure as I expected. This is a compliment to MadCitys training of their reps. MadCity is definitely on my list to consider when it comes time to replace our windows.

Very pleasant experience from start to finish. Having just purchased a house from an elderly owner, I knew the walk-in and sit down shower needed to go. I previously saw a Mad City Windows and Bath display at Valley View Mall when I was visiting the La Crosse area, so they were already in the back of my mind when I made the decision to remodel the bathroom. They were also the first result when searching for remodeling near me. I scheduled the consultation, and two days later Brent showed up. He was right on time, and was very thorough and knowledgeable. I ended up going with them for the remodel, and approximately 4 weeks later I received a call to schedule my removal and installation (since the tubs/walls are custom made, the initial 4-weeks was build time). After my removal/install was scheduled, I received another call 2 days prior as a friendly reminder. Install day came, and Phil showed up by himself to complete the job. I was expecting at least another person, but Phil proved that another person wasnt needed. He was very professional, and completed both the removal and install by himself all within a single 8-hour day. I was able to use my new tub shower just 24 hours (the required set time). The before and after pictures included dont do justice the eye sore that has been replaced. I highly recommend Mad CIty WIndows and Bath, and friends and family have had nothing but compliments after seeing their work.

100% do not recommend.My experience was similar to the other 1-star ratings - unprofessional estimation process and aggressive sales approach more like a pyramid scheme or timeshare scam.1st red flag: while on the phone scheduling an estimate, the salesman immediately assumed that I couldn’t be doing a home project myself and asked for my husbands information 🙄 against my instinct I went ahead with the appointment for the estimate anyways.Expectation: a reasonable 15-30 min engagement for the assessment of and discussion about a bathroom update, resulting in a quote.Reality: hours of my life I’ll never get back.* Every requirement I provided was met with a sigh, snarky comment on how my taste is expensive, or a remark about how the thing I was asking for was impossible (normal things like gold finished fixtures or recessed soap/shampoo shelf, the kind inset between studs).* The entire conversation was full of patronizing comments and cheesy chuckles in response to my questions or design requirements. There were also multiple incredulous comments about how I was so opinionated and knew what I wanted.* An outright refusal to just simply bid out the work based on the project specs - he actually stayed in my home while I had to resume work obligations (my work would not have conflicted with a normal estimate process of ~30 mins).* He insisted to me that no one could estimate a bathtub and shower replacement in less than a few hours. Further, and worse, he insisted that I didn’t really want an estimate in 30 minutes, that he knew what was better for me than I did.* He actually had the audacity to argue with me about what I wanted out of our discussion despite the fact that I had already told him that I just wanted to know if my design requirements could be met and at what cost.* The meeting (finally) concluded in shady, used car sales fashion where he asked me to guess the price, he told me how ridiculous my guess was, but insisted that we continue playing the price is right before he’d just tell me the cost of the materials and labor. He also accused me of lying when I said I was gathering multiple bids for the project in order to compare; he told me that it was highly abnormal to get estimates from more than one place for any kind of home improvement work. I’m pretty sure he thought I was just stupid.
