We could not be more pleased of the job performed by On the Move. They were very professional, courteous, and showed up when they said they would. Our team of Tyler, JD, Bobby and Jay did an excellent job of packing 28 years of stuff and getting it safely to our new house. Not one thing was damaged in the move. They even staged boxes in our garage so that we could easily find rooms as we were unpacking. If we ever move again, and I hope we dont, they will be my first call. I did a local pack/move/store/move. First of all they actually came out and did a quote vs over the phone. They gave me a great rate! On both days of move out and move in they were early. I recently completed a local move, from Smyrna to Murfreesboro. Moving from a 2 story house to a 3 story building. On the Move staff was punctual, courteous, and fast! They showed up exactly when they said they would. They moved several pieces of furniture, including white office furniture, a light linen colored bedroom set with white end tables, and a light cream colored large (4 piece) sectional. Everything was handled with extreme care, delivered, and set up again with care. The crew was a joy to work with and there was NO damage whatsoever during the move to anything at all, including the walls. It was a fantastic experience! I love my light furniture and this was a big deal to me that nothing was dirty. Great crew of guys and an all around great experience. Don’t hesitate to give On the Move a call! Ill start by saying that these guys werent the least expensive. However...the crew of guys that moved us were very friendly, on time, and called me both before they arrived to both locations. They moved everything safely and efficiently. They even somewhat organized our stuff into categories when they unloaded it since we were having a yard sale with the items they were moving. Timely, honest and quality work! My furniture was boxed and stored with OTM for 3 months. They updated me and were flexible while I was dealing with construction delays on my new home. We used this company to move from Antioch to Smyrna and we were so pleased with the service we received. The movers arrived right on time and got everything moved out of the old house and into the new in 3 hours! The price is better than other movers we have used prior as well.They were very polite and even though it was raining made sure to be careful with all of our belongings. They even went as far as to put down rugs through out the new house to keep from getting our floors dirty. Great service on our recent move from Tennessee to Ohio! The three man crew was very professional and courteous as they quickly and carefully loaded the truck as if they were loading their own possessions. They even plastic wrapped our mattress and box spring at my request. The two man crew who unloaded the truck at our destination were two of the three men who loaded the truck. On the move was the best moving experience I have ever had, and I have moved 3 times in Nashville. Jamie, the supervisor did a great job of setting the expectation right off the bat. He and his team were very polite, courteous, and professional. The whole team greeted me and shook my hand when they arrived at my home (that may seem like a little thing, but professionalism goes a long way with me). Not only did they do a great job, but I could tell they had fun and really enjoyed their work. They were highly engaged with each other and had great communication. They also worked hard to move me as quick as possible (not trying to milk out as much time as possible).We had just stained new hardwood floors at our new house, and they took every precaution to make sure the floors never got damaged. In my two previous moves, with other companies, I had several items that were damaged. In fact, the last time I moved I used The Green Truck Movers and they damaged and broke so many of our things they ended reimbursing all of our costs (btw, I don’t recommend them to anybody). On The Move didn’t damage anything at all. In fact, they even went above and beyond to load a few fragile items into our personal vehicles.I honestly can’t say enough about On the Move. This was not only the best experience I ever had with a moving company, but it was one of the best experiences I ever had with ANY company in long time. On the day of the move (last weekend), Don, Donny, and Michael arrived on time and ready to go. We have moved often, state to state and town to town and I will say we’v never had a better move. They did a three day move from packing to loading to moving us in. The crew over three days varied some but everyone that worked with us was professional, polite and spent every minute they were paid for working. We didn’t have people go missing, like we have had in the past where you have to go find them, and they were constantly working. I didn’t hear any foul language and their manners were impeccable. Don has every reason to be very proud of his crews. We would like to give a shout out first Ron, who was the crew manager all three days, and his crew Lavonzo, Richard, Don, Calvin and Cody. On the Move gave us time to unpack the many boxes and then Ron came back and picked up all the boxes and paper. Par Excellence these guys!!

The storage units at On the Move: Moving & Storage are huge. We thought we were going to need two units to hold all of the stuff from our house. But one unit at On The Move was plenty. They helped us get everything packed up and then unloaded it for us. The units are really nice and climate controlled. We cant wait to get everything unloaded into our new house, but at least we know everything is safe and sound at On the Move: Moving & Storage.

I had used this company before and they did a good job. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. I had two guys helping us move, on of the men was very nice and helpful, the other not so much. In fact he really was an uncomfortable person to be around. I paid extra money for a mattress box for my memory foam mattress and this mattress is expensive so I was trying to protect it. Imagine my surprise when they unpacked it and it was not wrapped in plastic like I was told it would be and I realized the cardboard was old, dirty and used. I paid $60 dollars for this service and was dumbfounded that I didnt even get a new or clean cardboard box. A part on my dresser was broke and its very old and I will literally have to take to a welder for repairs because they packed it poorly. There were some other issues and I thought they were concerned about my satisfaction as a customer. I soon found out that was not the case after lots of emails and waiting almost two months for my claim to be taken care of. So I receive my claim form along with my broken parts that are not fixed and a joke of a check to cover items that were damaged. The nice moving man told me they would fix the dresser handle and send it back to me. On a positive note he was very upset it broke. Moving companies should fix the things they break, I will not use this company again or recommend it to anyone. In fact I will tell them to go elsewhere.

A simple thank you is just not enough to express how I feel about my recent experience in using On The Move Moving and Storage for my recent relocation from Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Kyle, Texas.The process started in about January, 2013, with Don Watson coming to my home to talk with me about the company, the services I would need and to give me an estimate of the cost for my move.As time passed, I had many questions which were graciously answered by the office staff. Arriving a few minutes early on my moving day, Ed, Frank and Josh set about loading up that truck like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. They handled my miscellaneous items as carefully as they handled my more sentimental items. They also answered my why are you doing this, that or the other questions with the patience of a parent talking with a child. The four of us had a lot of fun during this process.Then, five days later, the off-loadng began. The truck arrived right on time for the first of the off-loads. Then down the road for the major off-load into my storage unit. Again, Ed (the driver) worked miracles in getting everything Ann and Ricky took off that truck to fit into that storage unit. There was one mishap...a bent extension curtain rod (which I was able to straighten out to its original condition)...that was brought to my attention immediately. How awesome is that?I would recommend this company to anyone who is moving next door, across town or across the country. They are polite, professional and, above all, treat the possessions of others as though they were their own. What more can you ask of a moving company.

Started out good but did not end up good. Crew member ask and took payment before job was finished, then just quit and left. They did not finish assembling a couple items of furniture. Did not place 4 items in the room of choice even after being told several times. When I called in later and said what took place the only thing that was offered is to send a crew out two days later and this was not acceptable. Did not need them two days later. The person I spoke to said he spoke to his general manager and he didnt have the courtsey to even contact us himself. Unprofessional at the end of the transaction. I will not use this company again and I would not recommend to anyone.
