Out on vacation hours away from home when my car decided to goof up on me. Called many places and Noone was able to service my car on such short notice. Then William called me back and was able to squeeze me in. Got my car repaired and was good to go. They even gave me a lift to and from the mall across the street so I didnt have to wait hours in their shop. Very happy with my service here. To bad I dont live in this city otherwise I would come here for all my car needs 🤣

Great service. Went for an oil change everything went good good check engine light came on after I left and was worried I got screwed but an hour later and its off again plus I called them and they where ready to take a look at it that day to make sure me and my family were safe

Very unprofessional. Had an issue with steering where it was hard to turn the wheel. Took the car in, had them inspect it, and they charged me $600 to fix the issue. However, the steering was exactly as bad as it was originally. They said that it would get better as I drove it more since they lubed it up. However, this was not the case. I then took the car into another car x location in Illinois, and they said that the Lafayette guys replaced the incorrect part entirely. They would not offer a refund regardless. If you are new to driving, they will take advantage of you. AVOID.

Theyre honest and keep the price fair. I showed up at 2:30.. Mind you they close at 3 on Saturdays and they stayed open a whole hour extra just to get me back on the road that day!

I came in without an appointment due to an emergency and they got me in very quickly. William at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! Eddie worked on my car and ensured that it was good to go. They both showed me what was wrong and what they did to fix it which was really helpful to a girl who doesnt know much about cars. I will be going back for sure, very good work and service!

I have been looking for an Oil Change that actually cares about their customers and I have finally found it! Car X - they are great! I called in to try and set an appointment. I was easy, an Oil Change and Rotation and I can leave my car for a day and a half. He had no appointments but allowed me to drop my car off to fit in. Beau was my tech, and he got it done! I could tell the minute I drove off that the tires were actually rotated, I did not have to question any service. All around, great place! Highly recommend!!

Picked up a new set of tires from this Car-X today. I asked, and they did a fantastic job of making sure that they didnt damage my wheels during installation. I guess Ive had some bad luck at those discount places. I called around town looking for the best tire prices, and Car-X actually had everyone beat in both price and in scheduling convenience. Ill definitely return for other mechanical work as a result of this positive experience.

William is the best. He always goes out of his way to find the best deal on parts and never tries to upsell, and he is so friendly and thoroughly explains every charge. He is honest about what repairs are necessary and which ones I can get by without whenever an inspection is done.

Got a coupon for a 2 for 1 oil change.On one car - my wife was told brake pads needed replacement. She was told that highway driving was worse on harder on the brakes than city driving - even she knew that didnt make much sense. When asked how soon the pads needed replacing, the guy said, soon, in the next couple of weeks... before the snow starts? I checked the pads out myself, they are probably just over more than half gone (after 35k miles) - nowhere near needing replacement in the next couple of weeks.Second car got just got its oil change. My wife was told the Serpentine belt needs replacement. It might, I havent looked at it myself... but Im leery of trusting their service recommendations at this point after our previous experience.I gave them 3 stars cause they did the oil changes promptly and at a good price (2 for 29.95), but had to dock them for extremely poor explanation of potential future service work. I do not plan on taking my vehicles back.Update: Over two years later, Im still on the same pads they suggested I replace in a couple of weeks. Save yourself the hassle of allowing them to try and rip you off. Originally I gave them a good rating because of the deal I got for two oil changes, after realizing how far they were really off in their estimate of my pad wear, I decided to downgrade them to poor-fair.

I called Car-X when my car started making loud rattling noises, I was on my way home but still had about 3 more hours. Bill answered the phone and even though they were booked for the day he let me come in! They were so quick to fix my issue and so kind and understanding. Very trustworthy- Im so grateful for their help!

Ive been coming here for all of my car needs for the past 4 years. Much cheaper than the stealership and they dont try to force parts or unnecessary fixes down your throat. Theyll also work with you on prices if its not affordable for you. Great service as well. 5+ to these guys.

I like this place. They started work on my car right after i gave them my keys. Ive had work done my car once previously and i was satisfied with the work. The waiting area is sufficient and the bathroom is decent. I highly recommend this place.

This place is great. I was about an hour late for my appointment and they were super booked. Despite that they managed to find the time to get me taken care of and saved my from having to go somewhere much worse. This place has been my go-to repair shop for awhile and will continue to be.

Customer service needs work. Argumentative and unprofessional. They want customers to wait 2 weeks to schedule an oil change appointment.... Do yourself a favor and go to Midas or Jiffy Lube

The customer service was great. But I took my car to them because my check engine light came on and was trying to figure out what the issue was. I already knew my mass air filter sensor needed to be changed and I changed it myself prior to bringing my car in but the check engine light was still on so I knew there had to be another issue. I was told that I did not put the sensor on all the way and that was the reason my check engine light was still on. Even though the light was still on when I left their shop. I took it to Defow down the road where I later found out that I did put the piece on there correct but they push it down harder to the point the prongs on the inside of the sensor was bent and couldnt recover it. Luckily, I had a warranty on the piece but if I didnt that would have costed me money because those pieces are not cheap.

Great place! I stopped in without an appointment because my oil light had been on since before I hit the mileage to have it changed. I was concerned that I had a slow leak and needed more than just an oil change.They got me in right away, checked for a leak, and did the oil change. Afterwards, the tech came in and talked to me directly. He said it isnt a leak, I am burning through the oil. He suggested keeping a couple quarts of oil in my garage to top it off between changes.

I have taken my cars here about half a dozen times. Work has always been done as expected. They are willing to look at the car and give you estimates and options.

Fantastic customer service. Guy who fixed my car thoroughly explained everything critical that was wrong, everything optional that could be updated, and everything I might want to get checked within the next few months. He also gave me a ride back to my place since my car needed to be fixed over the weekend.

I was experiencing some tire-noise issues and was worried I had also caused some front suspension problems so I made an 8am appointment and rushed in right after getting of work. Within 15 minutes, Jack called me back and showed me my suspension was still in good shape and the issue was solely with my tires. He said he could tell me this or that but he said a balance and alignment wasnt going to do squat without some tires. He told my lower ball joint had some minor play but nothing that would make-or-break the vehicle for quite some time. He told me even some A/S tires just to get me through the winter should be my only concern at this point. 5/5. Bravo, Jack! In an age where everyone seems to be out to turn a quick buck, Jack talked to me man-to-man and didnt try to trick me into anything I didnt need. Thats rare in this day and age. No charge, just advice. Once I get some new shoes I will be back, I will get my alignment and I -WILL- ask for Jack.

I have been to Carx too many times in need of repair and every time they have been able to fix me up good. I have had any trouble with them. They are open, honest, and knowledgeable about what they are doing. I would recommend them to anyone in need of vehicular repair, large or small.

The first time I went to Car-X I was referred by a friend and being new to Lafayette I was cautious as to who worked on my car. I had to have the brakes worked on and the Mech. Jack was not only helpful but took the time to show me the parts and what they were and were not suppose to look like. I got the front done seeing as how i did not have enough to get both done at the time so i fixed the worse of the two sets. I knew my brakes were bad even before coming here. They allowed me to look at them and figure out what to do and today i came back to get the back ones done. They again at my request allowed me to look at the parts and since i know how to use gauges was able to measure out the drums. Sadly they were out off measurement. Their quote was honored from my last visit with no hidden costs and more importantly no BS! I love my Subaru and know the manufacture requirements but needed the drums. I was a walk in and they got to it right away and i knew i would have to wait but the wait was minimal and the service was amazing. I know where i will be getting all my work done from now on. If you want friendly service and a good price check these guys out. When I need work done that i can not do myself I know where to go. Heather, Jack, and Mason thanks for all your help!

I usually do all repairs on my Toyota Tundra but when water pump went out, I looked to CarX for the fix. I couldnt be happier with their customer service, timely repair and cost.I was very pleased that they didnt try to hard sale me on minor repairs that will be needed in the future. Only regret I have is that I didnt have my exhaust system repaired when it was in their shop.

I bring both by Ford Fusion and F-150 to this CarX location and have had nothing but positive experiences every time Ive done so. They never try to up sell you on repairs and only do the work that is absolutely necessary to repair your vehicle. Prices are very reasonable for the excellent service that is provided. I would definitely recommend this CarX location to anyone who needs brake and alignment services on their vehicles.

Came in for what I thought was a catastrophic problem but it turned out to be a very simple fix. They were honest and fixed it at no charge. They offered a deep engine clean for 30 dollars and I took it and now my engine looks brand new. Thanks for not screwing me like most places have.

The air conditioner on my truck quit working and my wife had just had brake work done at CarX and she had a coupon for 10 dollars off of your next repair. We traded vehicles and she took the truck to CarX and the nice lady there gave my wife a ride to work that is nearby.The mechanic called me later that morning and told me exactly what was wrong and what he did. My wife picked the truck up after work and the air conditioner works great and the price was very fair.What was an inconvenience for me became quite convenient. I like it!
