Maybe you have me confused with someone else (and how would you actually know from the comment above who the customer is). I left my car with you to be worked on. So you did service my car, it’s just that while Jason was professional & respectful, the other service advisor (I am intentionally not naming them here), was very rude & unprofessional.I empathize with you that bad reviews might hurt business. But if you want better business, I recommend listening to customer’s input/reviews to see what you have to fix. Glossing over customers reviews will not help fix your issues.I have also submitted a formal review with big o tires with actual contact info, if they want to use that information to improve the customer experience.

**BE WARNED OF THIS BIG O FRANCHISE**Took My Car In For An Alignment & To Check The Suspension. Was Told That It Needed Lower Control Arms Replaced And Quoted $1100.00. I Wanted A 2nd Opinion So I Took It To The Dealer. The Dealer Investigated What Big O Had Said, And Found NO Need For Replacement And Provided Pictures Of Lower Control Arms, In Perfect Condition, With Very Little To No Ware. The Dealer Even Aligned The Car For Free And It Drives Perfectly.

Very helpful and professional crew here! They picked out best tires to meet my needs and budget. I returned a couple of days later to try an oil change. The representative found a coupon to help with the price- very reasonable, they didnt try to up sell me any other services and they balanced the front (previously used) tires to help me! What a great place! Thank you, Big O-I will be back.

Jason is AMAZING! He is positive and helpful and always willing to take on a difficult problem - i.e. I own a London cab and he has helped us throughout the years on all of our cars. Last year we moved from Lafayette to Oakland and would NOT consider going anywhere else for our car needs - that is until Jason and his team tell us it is something they do not specialize in. Jason is great but the whole team is fantastic as well. Just a positive experience EVERY TIME! I have recommended Lafayette Big O to many people. I feel that they have my interest in mind as well as the companys - they are honest and want the customer to get the deal that works for them. Above it asked if they offered me a credit card and I said No. I see that as a MAJOR positive! I do not want to be sold something I havent asked for. I hate when every store asks me that when I buy something. It makes me want to just walk out and not buy whatever it is I am buying. Everyone by now knows there is a credit card offer likely available with a purchase discount when opened. We can ask for it ourselves.

I have been going to Big O to service my cars for 17 years. I have always received excellent service, a fair price and the friendliest staff around. The know me by name when I walk in the door, they help me quickly so I can get on with my day and they communicate with me about the status of my repair. I cant imagine taking my cars anywhere else. Two days ago my sons new car had a flat tire after hours. We took the car to Big O and dropped the keys in the mail slot. We didnt leave a note or anything to identify the car. The next morning I received a call that the tire had been fixed and was ready to go. They actually found the registration for the car to know it was ours and fixed it without bothering me! I love this place!!

Ive taken my last two cars to Big O Tires in Lafayette, and have always had good service. The services performed on my car have always been quick and efficient, and I have never had an issue with communication; they have always called as soon as my car is ready to pick up. They have always explained the services performed on my car, and have been up front with what services should be performed and what services can wait if I can not have them all done at the same time. Im very pleased with their service and I would recommend anyone to them.

In order to save a couple of bucks, I once bought my new tires at Costco. One of the tire gauges was crooked. I had a slow leak but did not notice until I was bringing my kids to school one morning and got a flat. The kids were late to school, my car towed to Costco where I waited another 3 hours for the repair (after the initial waiting of 3 hours for the tires to be installed)! Never again! Big O is local, has great customer service and I trust them to be fair with the price and do a good job.

Came in there to get my brakes inspected. Turned out I was a dummy and nothing was wrong with them. They were very nice and checked my brakes pads, rotors and shocks and they didnt even charge me! Would recommend because of their friendly, honest and knowledgeable staff.

Our family and business have been using the services of the Lafayette Big O for over 15 years. We are not sure what is Ed (the owner) is feeding his employees however their service level, professionalism, attitude, customer service is worthy of 10 stars. When you have employee longevity you know that it is a good business to do business with.We take our fleet of cars to their store for all of our needs, oil change, tire rotation, car alignment and even for mechanical problems. Jason treats me and my family just as if we were his family. They are honest and so reliable, I believe that you will be happy with their service just as we do.

HONEST! I brought my car in for service as I was having transmission fluid leaking. They could have taken the job and charged me a lot of money, which I was expecting to pay. Instead, they inspected the problem and advised me that it should be covered under my warranty. They were right! It was covered. Because of their honesty, I am now a customer for life and will definitely send referrals. Thank you!

I own several vehicles/trailers and have been a Lafayette, CA customer for several years. My service experience has been remarkably proficient and consistent and my last visit was no exception. Specifically, they only recommend repair and/or tires when needed and on multiple occasions (last two visits included), I left the office without a charge for minor issues, even though they spent time on my vehicle. I will continue to use this location for all of my mechanical/tire needs.

It was quick and reasonable. They also gave me a ride home instead of waiting at the shop. The usual excellent service.

Big O Tires went above and beyond for us this time!!! My husband had an important meeting in Tahoe and needed snow tires that were being shipped from an out of state supplier. Due to massive storms there was a delay in shipment but my husband needed them in order to get to Tahoe for a meeting. So, someone drove out to Benecia on their day off to go to the loading dock and see if our tires had arrived. The tires were then pulled off a truck and driven back to Big O. Once in Lafayette, our tire lock was not in the car so Big O drove our car to Porsche to get them unlocked. They then went back to Big O and installed the tires. This was above and beyond and we are truly grateful. Excellent work!!

Discovered nail in a tire on Sunday. We were a bit concerned as our vacation trip was starting on Monday. Came by early Monday morning, without an appointment, and Matthew facilitated the tire repair. Job was completed within 45 minutes and no interruption to our travel plans. Big O Lafayette is our new tire store. Thank you all very much.

I have always been treated well here and the prices seem decent. They will also install user provided parts but this may depend on what it is. They do most of the small jobs for my car while bigger jobs I take to another mechanic, nothing against big o in regards to that. My only complaint and why I give it 4 stars is for making online appointments. I wish the process was explained a bit better before you show up. I made an appointment then got to Big O, for them to tell me that the job will be 5 hours and they need to do a check before they can order parts. I wish Big O would of called me prior, so I could plan my day a little better. They did get the job done ahead of time and I commend them greatly!

For some reason they always have an excuse why they shouldn’t service my tire issue. Better but tires somewhere friendlier and less condescending.

The person who greeted me immediately reprimanded me for being on time and not early for my scheduled appt. I found that incredibly rude and unprofessional. He told me that they were like a Drs office and that people show up late and then people who get there on time will then be delayed. Well, I am a Dr. and I am happy when my patients get there on time. I never reprimand them for that. If others show up late, they are the ones made to wait as we see the ones on time. He said that I was lucky that they were on time and on schedule that day. I found that a ridiculous discussion. If they wanted us there early, then give us an appt with an earlier time or tell us to get there early!!Also the other day, I had a couple of my sensors replaced. We talked about a new tire where I had a repaired sidewall during the check in. I learned later that if I was considering a new tire, that I should do the sensor at that point to save on the Labor cost of removing the tire. I felt taken advantage of. I have been coming for many years. Mostly for the convenience. But I find that the men that service the desk treat women differently and with lack of courtesy or respect despite the fact that we are paying the bill. I cannot recommend your place as the customer service needs a lot of work. The gentleman who checked me out, however, was very respectful. The others, very arrogant.

Never again. This was the only tire shop I have ever been to, and like most people, that’s enough to just keep going back. Today I was reminded why competition is good for the consumer and man are there lots of tire shops around.I got a flat and I wasn’t able to schedule an appointment to get it repaired because I needed it fixed today before a road trip I had planned tomorrow. I looked online and saw that my old tire shop Big O store offered a repair service for tires that included as listed on their website:Included in your service:Remove tire from rimInspect inside and outRepair liner to make sure the seal is airtightFill punctureRemount and balance tireCheck your spare to make sure youre ready for next timeI thought I should be safe and put on the spare before driving to their shop and might save some time to just drop off the tire with them to get repaired, and then they’d remount it once done. So from the above listed service, they did one thing, put a plug through the outside of the tire after they removed the screw. It’s a plug type you can but at any auto shop, cheap and obvious when you look at the tire. They didn’t remove the tire form the rim, inspect the liner, balance the tire, or check the spare. When I asked if they could at least remount the tire, the sales rep said there was no way until possibly 3 hours from now and when I asked if there was some discount because they didn’t do all that things listed above he said no.So it took me 10 mins to remove the tire with the cruddy jack and tools supplied with the car, and Big O couldn’t afford to have 1 guy with a power tool and a real jack ensure the tire was remounted correctly. Probably would’ve taken them 5 mins and at least made me feel like they cared.Never again. Shop around people, this shop can’t be bothered to care.

Asked them to check my brakes because they were spongy. Rear brakes were replaced, but the e brake was left loose. Good thing I knew how to adjust.

We made a New Years resolution to patronize local businesses as much as possible. So when it came time to put new tires on the car we deiced to give our local Big O a shot instead of going the tried & true Costco route.I called for a price and was given a reasonably competitive quote, so I made an appointment. Realizing we were taking the car into a full service shop, I called back a few minutes later to get a quote for an oil change. I downloaded the 50% off oil change coupon off their website which made the cost on par with other businesses in the area and went in for the appointment. When I arrived I was helped by Jason, the asst, manager, who gave me the original quote for the tires. While writing up the work order, I gave him the oil change coupon. Jason said they couldnt honor it because he already applied a coupon for the tire quote and only one coupon is allowed per invoice (he didnt tell me he was extending a coupon discount on the phone).I told him, intending to do our business locally, this was our first time at this Big O and we usually get our tires from Costco. He went into a disparagingly loud, didactic mode stating wed pay more for tires at Costco, wait a very long time for the service and we couldnt get our oil changed there. I was ready to walk when he sensed this and said hed find a way to accommodate the coupon.On the plus side, they offer a shuttle ride home. The driver, Keith, was extremely pleasant and friendly.When I picked up the vehicle, there were several add on charges including $6 per tire for liquid nitrogen and $3.50 for an incandescent tail light bulb - neither which I was clearly advised of. I appreciate the safety check but would have appreciated a heads up as I have a whole set of LED lamps.In the end, Big-O Lafayette felt like a bait & switch operation. I simply dont feel a sense of trust doing business with this business. My bad for wanting to do the right thing and not checking Yelp in advance. I dont enjoy leaving a bad review and giving them two stars because it was more convenient than going to Costco, their shuttle service & driver and having to go to a separate shop for the oil change.

Ive often walked out of here slightly disappointed. Today is no exception. After having been told the last three times Ive been here that my car should have a different, new, oil filter housing, and they are kept in stock here, I added that item to the list of things being repaired today. After waiting the two hours I was told it would take for oil change, two tires and the trimmings (alignment, etc.), my car was done. But they didnt replace the housing, though it was on the order. I saw it on the order. The two guys at the register told me it didnt need replacing, the old one went back on just fine. I explained twice why I wanted to get it done, because they had told me twice before that I should. They said. Oh, its just fine. Its okay.Then I said that I felt they were dismissing me, and I guess that was the right thing for a grey haired middle aged woman to say. They said it would take 20 minutes, no problem. And it did.Other problems Ive previously had here; no valve caps put on the tires (a few times), and once when having purchased a new set of tires, there was a thumping sound coming from one tire and I took it back to be checked the next day. There was a WRENCH (YES!!) in the tire!! They said that happens sometimes if you hit weird stuff on the road, it can get into your tire. What?? Come on, just admit that one of the mechanics made a mistake.Lastly, the first time I brought my new (used) car in, I had been waiting a super long time, so came up to ask when it would be done. Three of the cashiers were talking together about my car. One of them had mistakenly made an error and written down the wrong mileage on carfax for my car. They were trying to figure out how to fix it and couldnt, they said everything would be alright. I wish I had stood up for myself at that time. Today is the last straw. I take care of the work on all three of our cars, and I wont be bringing them here any more.

Took our car in for a free tire rotation. Two days later noticed a strange rotational sound coming from the wheels. On inspection I found that 3 of the wheels had one or two lug nuts that were loose enough to unscrew with my fingers. The noise was from the wheels moving around on their mounts. Wont be going back.

I went to get a screw pulled from my tire, I drove around the confusing and cluttered parking lot. There wasnt any place to park or anyone to help. I wouldve understood if they were just too busy, but the cars were just parked sporadically in the garage. Im not going to be back.

They always want you to come back in a day or two, while they don’t have that many work in line. Not cool.

Had my wife take our car in after we bought our tires from them for some visual wires coming out of tires.. When they found everything should be covered under warranty, their whole attitude changed with all the excuses why warranty is not valid (some BS about mechanical failures. comment was made without any inspection) . Even though we had documentation showing tires were rotated by another shop. We were told all the tires need to change and of course price has gone up. Ask my wife to leave the shop, we just have to find another vendor who we can trust, especially when they’re dealing with females..
