I own a thrift store.I was appalled at how dirty the furniture section was!Things just piled on top of other things! They use permanent marker to price their things,on the product itself! A male cashier was extremely rude to the customers. He was snappy and snarky to their questions on things. Other than those things, the prices were fair.

Great prices nice quiet little thrift store... You do have to make an appointment before going because they can only have so many people at a time. I did overhear them saying it might go to regular hours in June so... Itll be a five star rating when you dont have to make an appointment...

You can only shop by appointment, the voicemail to make said appointment is wildly long and the phone number is not listed on the website for these appointments. There was one person in the shop and they wouldnt let us come in even though we were willing to make the appointment I appreciate covid safety measures, but please consider just doing a head count and letting people in as they come.

The last three times there, Ive been overcharged by Brad. First time, it was a few dollars and I let it go. The second time, it was about $12 so I had him cancel and start ringing up again. Issued a refund. Third time, it was over $22 dollars. Yup, we had to start over and ring everything up and and get a refund. He was the only cashier at the time. He mentioned to me that the store has lost alot of money due to being shut down. ? This is called theft.

I wish there was a way to express my heartfelt thankfulness and appreciation for Sister Carmen. Not only did they give me a voucher to get new glasses which I desperately needed and could not afford, they also helped me with some household items since I had to move unexpectedly and didn’t have a need it to run my household. Not only are they kind and considerate, at the thrift store, at the food bank and in the office… God bless them all and the wonderful work they do for the community. We are all more blessed to have Sister Carmen in our world! From the bottom of my heart thank you! ❤️🙏🏻

Love Sister Carmen! Best place to buy furniture, kids clothes, baby items, and shoes for super low prices. Also nice to drop donations here around the back. They have great sales and a rewards program. I also really appreciate that its local and benefits local families with a food bank and parenting classes, among other services. The quality of donations are indicative of the generosity of Lafayette. So lucky to have this place around!

Very nice community oriented thrift store. Good selection of items and many items are very nice quality. The staff is very easy going and helpful. I was able to find some excellent buys! What I especially like is the true thrift prices. Many items are fifty cents to three dollars and are nice items. Small store but there are gems in there and Sister Carmen human services are making a difference in the community.

Ive tried dropping off donations a number of times. Theres a middle aged man with longer hair whos always very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there are a few women who dont seem to know what donations are accepted nor how the drop off process works. Ive stopped donating here and instead donate to the ARC thrift store in Louisville @ 1349 E South Boulder Rd.

Sister Carmen is one of the kindest and most generous souls to have existed. To put any less than 5 stars on any clean and decent thrift store that helps the homeless.. has it reasons:4 stars because its a little small and not always as clean as Id like.Great Service, spotty selection, excellent cause!

Compared to the other stores this thrift store is much smaller. Now with that said you will always find something. The nuggets of goodness will be hiding so you will have to dig for the goodies. There is always something for everyone. A must stop and a place to come back to every once in a while.

Ive been here a lot - some employees are very nice but I know most everyone makes a point to avoid a certain Brad. Ive seen a queues of 6 or 8 for one cashier and zero for him- everyone declines to join join his.I resent Alejandras statement that Anglos are given better service. I never assume every brown person is Indonesian; Id like people to stop assuming people who appear to be white are Anglo Saxon (or from the Caucasus region). I look white but am not. On that note, Brad treats everyone badly.

On any given day this store can be full of hidden treasures. Keep looking and youll probably find it.The staff are friendly and witty. The volunteers who stock the store are awesome. Just dont try to shop out of their carts. It is against store policy. They have clothing (none worn, torn, or dirty). They routinely get return items from Costco and other local stores. Other donated items include furniture, kitchenware, outdoor gear, and garden supplies.Flatirons Church members really support this store through their donated items. There are NO public restrooms on-site.

Worst experience volunteering ever. I walk in early on a Sunday morning to help for only an hour before going to the museum to volunteer, and once completing many tasks I walk down to the basement to help out there. A worker was down there and started to complain to me about my shoes. This was extremely unnecessary and very unprofessional: after telling me that I shouldn’t be wearing open toed shoes, I responded saying that it wouldn’t happen again. I then proceeded upstairs to help out for the last ten minutes. After only five minutes the same worker comes back up and talks to the front desk. She comes over with another worker telling me I needed to leave right then and there. The other worker thought it was unnecessary but the manager started yelling at her. Customers started to get involved, and eventually I just got so disgusted I left. Please do not treet volunteers like this.

Great community assistance & vice versa! SCs is very recommended here in Lafayette. The prices were more reasonable than other resale shops, things seem to be in good shape they have a lot of out reach and charities and services that they provide. They actually help & involve the community, not just make money. Sister Carmens is my first choice to donate things to or to resale shop.

The man and his teenage son who was behind the counter were both extremely rude. We were shopping with our 4 year old and were told she could not use the restroom. Several items we chose to purchase off the floor were not priced so we could not buy them. We were told to drive 40 miles back tomorrow for a price. Super disappointed in the place both times we visited.

Bought 10 plates, 3 cups and 2 vases and had to wrap everything myself and couldnt get a bag or a used box to carry it home in because they are green. Ok i understand no bags but I cant have a box because they recycle them? I have a 2 year old grandbaby with me and have to get all this up stairs. Lady behind the counter could care less. This is the second time there and both were terrible experiences. I wont go back.
