Im super super surprised at the quality of food that this little quick Eatery provides. It tantalizes your taste buds whilst playing some groovy music only a true funk lover could appreciate. My waitress was fantastic. The lovely lady at the door was welcoming & kind.I enjoyed their famous Dill Eggs....its a delicious unique twist on eggs Benedict. Great portion especially considering the price!!! I walked out paying a little over 15 with a 5$ tip.All the staff is tattooed & almost pin up like. Which really put that hipster feel in place. All in all Im damn pleased with every bit of this comfy cozy corner restaurant. Way to go yall!!!
Nice atmosphere and quick service.Wife ordered 2 eggs with a side of breakfast potatoes and pancakes. Breakfast potatoes were alright, wife didnt care too much. Pancakes werent that great.Huevo Ranchero with a side of French toast. Lets get to the Elephant in the room, Huevo Ranchero is just a lazy breakfast Burrito. It was good, but French toast wasnt anything to write home about.Latte was good and would order that again.Honest review 2.5/5, not bad but, nothing stood out.
Visited Louisville, CO over the past weekend and was looking for a nice breakfast place to spend our last day. Found this little joint on the web and was sold on the menu they offered. I ended up getting the Amaretto Almond French Toast and my GF the Banana Walnut Belgium Waffle. Food and Service well exceeded our expectations. Is a must go to for anyone visiting the area and will definitely go back on the next visit.
Always consistently delicious food - great for breakfast or lunch! Great food, cool ambiance and the wait staff are funky and friendly! GET THE BLUEBERRY CORNBREAD! One of the only places I like pie! They have a solid coffee bar - I recommend the Eggs Marcos.
Truly amazing place for breakfast or lunch. Expansive menu - everything Ive tried is delicious. The coffee drinks are SO good...The wait for a table can be quite long on weekends but its totally worth it. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent! One of my favorite breakfast places in Boulder County.
Im going to start by saying real men eat quiche. Why is that my intro? Because you can come amazing quiche here, and if some outdated idea of gender roles keeps you from enjoying it, then your life is all the more tragic for it.Now the rest of the menu is pretty solid, though I do have to take umbrage with their biscuits and gravy... Its not the traditional dish. Its good, its just not... Traditional. The other thing to keep in mind is this place is small. So if you show up at 10:00 am on a Saturday or Sunday, you will have a wait. Two people, ten people, doesnt matter, there will be a wait. Hang out, its worth it.
We have been frequent customers since 2013 and I cant believe Ive waited so long to write a review! Walnut Cafe is our absolute go to for breakfast/brunch! Theres been a lot of growth in Lafayette recently with new breakfast places coming to town but this is still our favorite. I CRAVE the food and cant wait to go. We usually go on a weekend morning. Summer is the best when you get to sit on the patio. The staff is always SO nice and they have a low turn over rate as its the same servers every time we go! VERY family friendly place. We have a toddler now and it can be challenging to eat out with her but the staff doesnt blink an eye here. Favorites includes: banana nut bread (an absolute must), breakfast potatoes, omelets, pork sausage. I would eat anything here. For 2 adults the tab is usually around $20-$25, you cant beat that for the amount of food you get and A+ service. Its cozy and I am so grateful to have this gem in our backyard. I always take any out of town guests here for them to experience. The food is simple and just what makes the belly feel good!
Dill eggs were very good. Unfortunately the potatoes were not great. I think it was because they were very busy. Menu is interesting. Give them a try!
Brought my 3 and 5 year olds for Sunday breakfast. Food was great, everyone was so nice and our service was excellent. I had the Jump scramble and the kids had oatmeal, which they liked very much. The hand drawn kids menu and crayons were big hits as well.
Cute place with great food. Took a star off for the waitress forgetting our drink and then completely running out of water and having to look for her. Took another star off for the music. It was definitely not family friendly... I’ll make love to you, hit me baby one more time, I’m too sexy for...ugh, please change the music!
I have been going to the Walnut Cafe for 12 years. The staff has always been friendly, the food has always been excellent, and the service has been consistently fantastic. This long-standing restaurant is a fixture of the in our community. I see staff there that I recognize from the first time I walked in the front door. All-around excellent, highly recommended.
Ozo Coffee, blueberry cornbread with honey and a egg white omelette made to order. Great way to get the day started. It is very small and they seem to have quite a wait. If the weather is nice the outdoor seating does help. The buttermilk pancakes werent my husbands favorite and were spongy otherwise was really good.
Good breakfast food. Fast, friendly service. They could wind down the garlic in the potatoes and Id be fine with it!
Cozy and friendly. Yummy fresh food. Lots of coffee choices. Keto option for sides. Wish I lived closer!
This Walnut Cafe has the best gluten free breakfast in town. You can order the gluten free waffles with your choice of toppings, from nuts to bananas. My personal favorite is the gluten free waffle with chocolate chips and fresh strawberries. Decadent and delicious. There are many reasons the Walnut Cafe is always crowded, servers are nice, service is fast, and the daily specials are great. Walls are decorated with mini art shows from local artists.
My wife and I visited today, for her birthday. She had the amaretto and almond French toast (gluten free). She LOVED it! I had the breakfast burrito, which was very good as well. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and well worth the trip!
Consistently consistent! Nicole is fabulous and runs a tight ship. Hey Bird, youre pretty cool too ;) I dont more names but they are all great ! (do I get a Boulder Latte for sucking up? ;) )
Good menu with lots of options. My salad was very good. We came during lunch hour rush so service was a little slow, but food came out very quickly.
I love this place. They always have the best breakfast, vegan friendly options, and amazing service.
Good breakfast. Consistent quality food. Enjoy eating there.
A great, sunny and healthy choice for breakfast, my friends meet here often, lots of windows for a brighter morning experience, in the summer their little patio is quite pleasant, especially for being nestled into an area of buildings and bustle... The menu choices taste fresh and healthy, pricing is very reasonable! :-)
The food was good, the service was friendly and quick and the place was clean. However I dont appreciate being charged a fee to use my credit and debit cards. I dont carry cash for safety. Accepting cards is an expense that is expected when running a bussiness. Wont come back to places that use this strategy.
My kids and I have had hit or miss experiencies with restaurants since moving to Colorado a little while ago, but this is definitely the best food Ive had since we got here. Omelet special was just what I wanted and chai was excellent. Good price point. Cant wait to bring the littles so they can get a taste, especially my son who loves pie!
This place has lots of good breakfast choices. I enjoyed my Dill Eggs. Would have liked it better if the dill sauce was warm. Regardless, it was delicious. The place is small so it can get packed quick on the weekends! Try to sit on the West side by the windows so that you have a view of the mountains - or outside; perfect on a nice day!
Delicious breakfast and lunch food, though Boulder walnut possibly has a tad better food. It feels like their breakfast is more creative than lunch.
We love the food here. Over the past 5 years weve been here dozens of times. The owner is really nice and accommodating. Over the past I would give it a five if thats all I was rating. However weve been going less, the service is not what it used to be. There are two waitresses who are there fairly often and leave a lot to be desired in how they waitress. One is very fake nice and if youre missing something from you plate or table or something is done wrong, she acts like it is your fault and is very defensive. The other NEVER shows up to our table until we go ask someone if we have a waitress or if we can put our food order in because weve waited so long. There are of course other waitresses and we tend to have good experiences when we get other people (otherwise the rating would be even lower), but these two just drag the score of Super Mini way down. When I see we have one of them, I want to just leave. Maybe next time Ill just ask for new servers.ETA- over the past year, the staff have absolutely been improved and all our reception trips have been very pleasant
Love this place! Their banana bread is super tasty. Always great breakfast and great service!
We really like to go to the Super Mini as a family for brunch. It can sometimes take a little bit of time to get a table; but the food is consistently good. I usually get either the sunrise sandwich or a piece of the quiche.
I dont get to come here often, but when I do it is always amazing! Always good food and coffee/teas!!!
We are from out of town and we Googled breakfast and got this as a suggestion . Its a popular place so the wait is long but the friendliest people work here! From the hospitality blankets to keep you warm to the locals suggestions to finding fun things to do, you wont find better people. And the food is just short of excellent which was just fine with us!
Who doesnt love Walnut? Founded by the crew from my much loved South Side Walnut Cafe, this was a much needed breakfast joint out in the Lafayette/Eire area. Ive already eaten here more times than I care to count, and theyve only been here a few months! Make sure you consider the South Side Special, or any Mexican breakfast if its on the specials menu. And consider doing a baked good as an appetizer. Who doesnt want a cupcake to start your breakfast?
So very good. Hip hop and excellent food. Maybe designed for yuppy hipsters, but without a doubt appealing to me.
Love this place for delicious & healthy breakfast. The staff are the best, always very welcoming. The side fruit is always fresh.I wish their prices were a bit more customer friendly, especially when ordering one plain Belgian waffle & paying extra for maple syrup, totaling just about $10. I can understand the prices on all the egg dishes, but thats a pricey waffle with just a few ingredients, and no sides included. My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros, just under $10 for nine items and two sides!
We had a large group, but let them know the day before. I think one person in our group may have made a reservation too, but Im not sure. Anyway, we were waiting for over an hour just to get seated and they sat multiple other groups before ours, which was very rude. Then, by the time we were seated, our group was split into 2 tables that were across the room from each other so we couldnt all sit together or talk. The waitress did a very poor job and it took a very long time just to order and then finally get the food. By the time we actually started eating, we had been there for over 2 hours already. The food was good though at least.Overall, very unprofessional and I wouldnt go back, despite the good food. They need to rethink how they treat their customers.
Oh, did we ever have a great late breakfast here yesterday! The omelets were delicious, our server was so efficient & nice, and my gluten-free waffle was amazing!!! One of the few places around that really knows how to handle gluten-free items perfectly!!! Every time that Ive been here weve loved it!*****
What can I say except always packed on weekends, great food and sides, wait staff is always friendly and willing to help out. You know if a place is packed every weekend for the 2 years I have been going says a lot about a place.
Jazzy chicken salad was fabulous today! Im Never disappointed and I always take the opportunity to visit this local eatery. So delish, relaxed and a great place to bump into some good friends!
This place isnt just a great breakfast or lunch, its a true hub of community. The menu is great, the kitchen consistently makes great food, the wait staff are very friendly and efficient, and there is a very welcoming atmosphere. We love this place and the people who work here.
Nice little cafe, definitely Boulder Colorado style excellent food great coffee and fantastic service. If youre looking for a nice bite to eat this is the place to go.
I had lunch with a friend here. It wasnt crowded and the service was excellent. Decent prices for what you get. The atmosphere was fine for a lunch venue.
It was a busy Sunday morning but we were waited on quickly and professionally. The space is so cute and comfortable with very reasonable prices. Delicious food with a fantastic coffee menu!
First off shoot of the popular boulder spot. Fun and unique coffee options and great meal choices. Its a popular but small place do expect a small wait.
Delicious food, super nice staff! Great little breakfast and lunch place.
This place has amazing food! Every item Ive ordered has been delicious. The staff is always nice and courteous. We never feel rushed even though this place is always packed!
This is our favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Lafayette. The quiche of the day is my favorite (as long as there are no mushrooms) and it is always changing. The staff is friendly and the wait is never long for a table. Lots of choices for food but always delicious! Best latte? Boulder latte. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I dont recommend the breakfast burrito but all the other food looked amazing. The coffee was out of this world good!
Had a mind eraser and a Denver omelet with pan fried potatoes. Everything was tasty. The potatoes were perfect. Great food, good atmosphere.
My wife, Maggie, and I have been eating at the Super Mini since it opened almost 6 years ago. The food is always excellent and plentiful, the coffee divine, and the employees are Super MAXI friendly and attentive. We live in Colorado Springs and would love to have a Super Mini in town. Spoil yourself, your family and your friends and go get breakfast or lunch at the Super Mini NOW!!
Great food, multiple weekly specials, and great service. Pretty small, but thats to be expected from someplace self refered to as super mini.
Yummy breakfast and an extensive espresso menu. Also open for lunch, Ive had the fish tacos which were delicious!
When you have family members with gluten issues, it can be really hard to eat out. The Walnut Cafe has a lot of delicious gluten free items, including pancakes and waffles. Their breakfast is fantastic, whether you are gluten free or not. Also, they have Bhakti Chai and I really appreciate that.
Card board flavored french toast. Blan under cooked pancakes. They said they were skillets, but a bag of kibbles and bits would have tasted better. Can of spam fried would taste better.
Always a delicious meal. The eggs are light and fluffy and the bacon is crisp. The coffee drinks are fantastic. My favorite is the lafalatte or the boulder latte.
We had a great meal. It was a great experience.
Awesome staff with a chill vibe, great food with gluten free options on pancakes, waffles, and French toast. Amazing views from the patio. Highly recommend trying it out!
Amazing service. Solid food - nothing mind blowing but meets breakfast expectations. And cool with toddlers.
Food was good but we waited way too long for a scramble and an omelette. Food was NOT hot when we got it and the pancakes were horrible, cold and rubbery! Our waitress said that we should have said something so they could have made it right for us (that would have been great) but she never came back to the table to follow up with us until we were done. Great atmosphere and coffee drinks!!
Bright, cozy atmosphere; friendly, prompt staff and a great tasting lunch! Appreciate the variety of lunch and breakfast options.
Great food and wonderful service. Restuarant has limited seating - their not kidding about super mini - and wait times can be long during peak periods.
We always come for weekend breakfast. I must say this is the only restaurant where i bring my own coffee because theirs is undrinkable.Food is always good.Service (Anji) is absolutely the best anywhere.
Food was very good service is awesome all go back again
Love this place! I always get the Bill Dill Eggs, theyre awesome. The wait staff is always extremely friendly !
I had heard they had good breakfasts here so we decided to try it for lunch. The three of us had sandwiches, and Dad tried the Hungarian (?) mushroom soup. On the tuna sandwich the tuna was brown and stringy, the chicken teriyaki with pineapple sandwich was bland (except for the pineapple) and fell apart on the plate - had to be eaten with a fork, and the Hot Mediterranean sandwich was sort of like a frozen pizza made on mushy bread... the menu said it was French bread, so I guess I was expecting a baguette? Not so much. Sandwiches were served with choice of potato chips (ruffled) or slices of (brown) apple. The soup wasnt as good as some canned soup Ive had. We drank water and the bill with tip was almost $32. Nothing was really terrible, but its so easy to make much better sandwiches at home. Wont be going back.
Very good place to go..every time we are in Colorado and enjoy great food and service..You need to check it out
The food is yummy - you can pretty much tweak anything on this delicious menu and alllllll the amazing women that work there are friendly, helpful, fun and great to be around! This place rocks!
Weve been coming here since they opened and nothing has ever disappointed. The Ranch Eggs are our favorite, but the quiches have always been fantastic as well as the omelettes. I keep telling myself to go more often so we can try everything! Will always recommend.
Good cup of coffee. YMCA is right next to it so plan a good wait on weekends. Food was good and my boys loved it.
Great reviews, must have previously been under different management...My experience was far less than favorable.Would have been 1 star, but they do use quality ingredients, but you cant put lipstick on a pig and call it pretty!Explained that I had never been here before. My waitress was not polite nor courteous. After seeing I was finished, the waitress went and filled up everyones water, sat 2 additional parties and took 2 additional orders.Eggs undercooked, potatoes overcooked and no one, including my waitress asked how is /was everthing?Review my reviews, this may be the only negative review Ive ever givenSHE JUST DIDNT CARE AND MADE IT CLEAR
Best breakfast. staff was very friendly. they have lots of different varieties of coffee. Loved the coffee. we had ordered caramelita latte, hazelnut mocha latte and lafalatte. all of them super delicious! :)
Our go to place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Very good food made with fresh and organic ingredients. Great service and a nice place to eat.
My partner and I often choose the super mini walnut for breakfast. Delightful service, delicious food, easy and plentiful gf eating ( including pancakes and even pancake batter-dipped french toast)
Service was terrible. We sat for 10 minutes and never even met our server. They werent really busy so there is no excuse. We watched as 3 employees were laughing and having conversations while we waited. Never ended up getting served so we left.
Amazing breakfast spot. In fact all the Walnut Cafés are incredible. Good specials, great servers, and delicious food all in a warm welcoming environment. Highly recommended to all.
The staff at this location are the best! Friendly people, a warm atmosphere, it was a true taste of what Colorado offers: nice people, warm food and a happy atmosphere!
Great fresh and tasty breakfast. Coffee is very good too. Lots of pie selections.
Good food, nice view of the mountains, always good service.
Reliable breakfast and lunch options with great service. Everyone can find something theyll like. If its busy, chat with neighbors while you wait!
Love this place. Fun staff, tasty food. Only heads up is that it gets slammed on the weekends, so be prepared to always wait for a table at brunch time.
Delicious food and the best staff.
Love, love, LOVE all Walnut Cafes. Amazing food always great service. They never disappoint!!
Great service and great food. Consistently delicious. Love the staff. Lots of choices for your sides which is great. Blueberry cornbread pancakes are amazing.
Great menu selection. Price point is perfect. Friendly service. Clean bathroom
Really good healthy food, and great service! I had a quiche with artichoke, black olives and swiss cheese, and sauteed veggies instead of bread. The quick was so big, I only ate half.
Love this place. Great food and great service. Cozy.
Great latte, my favorite pancakes, delicious vegan options. Leave feeling really full. Super friendly, my favorite breakfast place with the family.
Always very good - both food and service!!
Was very disapointed, we were all excited to try this place. As we walk up we see six couple tables available outside. So we asked to sit outside at one of the tables and they said it is a 20 minute wait. If your not going to staff enough to cover the tables you have then take the tables out. Its frustrating to see empty tables while you sit their and wait. We ended up leaving because we were on a time schedule and we could not wait that long for breakfast no matter how good the food is reviewed to taste.
