Hub City Diner has been a Lafayette tradition for 31 years. It has that unique old time diner feel which is so cool for kids and the young at heart. You never go wrong with their cheeseburger, fries & old fashioned milkshake! If you like BIG homemade onion rings, these are the bomb! For a taste of south Louisiana hometown cooking, their dinner platters are awesome.

This place was cute and fun. Even though they are a small place, they operated very friendly and efficiently. The food was so so yummy. I had the shrimp and grits and my dad had one of their omelets which was overflowing with filling. We both cleaned our plates it was that good!

I enjoyed my breakfast! I had a ham and cheese omelette. I liked the omelette except the selection of ham could have been better. Their biscuits taste more like a pancake--theyre sweet. That was disappointing to me.Overall, the ambiance of the place is very relax and homely.Jen was a cool waitress.I cant wait until I come back to try many more items on the menu.

This was like a 4.5 but I didnt want them to lose stars. My food was amazing. The best thing was the bread pudding at the end. It came with a whiskey instead of rum sauce that delighted my senses. It had all the other cute diner style amenities and good service.My friends meal wasnt anything special so thats my only down point.

This was a great breakfast stop on our way out. It seemed to be very popular. It was busy, and the hostess were very efficient on getting everyone seated, so wait was bad at all. Definitely has a local feel to it which we loved. Coffee was good, fresh and hot, the bloody Mary & Mimosa were very good too. Everything we ordered was delicious. ( Mikes special, 2x2x2 breakfast, kids breakfast & beignet strips. )

Called in for take out. Receptionist had pleasant voice and was accommodating. Called when order was ready. Wait was not long.

T-Kay was AWESOME!!!Our waitress was on point from the moment we walked in until we walked out the door. Within a minute after we sat down she showed up with our menus, a minute later we had hot coffee at our table. I didnt see what I wanted on the menu but she assured me it wasnt a problem. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The coffee cups never Sat empty and when we finished she was quick to offer some to-go containers. When there was no one at the register to check us out she even stepped up and took care of our check.Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience. Along with a healthy delicious meal came top notch service. What more could one ask for?

I was shocked at the amount of staff on the floor which I loved. Our server was attentive and even twice I was looking around once for nothing and the manager still stopped by! Heavenly service. The egg scram was out of this world cooked perfectly. Cant wait to go back and try other menu items! Super clean.. super friendly staff! Hardly any wait.

Brought my fiancee here for breakfast while in the area and all I can say is WOW! When we walked through the door the place just felt like home. From the extremely curteous and attentive staff, to the amazing diner style food. Your first time here will NOT be your last. It certainly wont be for us!

We were in town for a wedding and stumbled across this place for breakfast. The food and atmosphere was so great! We especially loved the biscuits. My friend a lifelong Texan, swears it was the best biscuit he has ever had. Great service and food- would highly recommend!! Very nice

Diners are known for inexpensive and plentiful food. HCD definitely has that covered. The gumbo was very good. Some of the best Ive had. The hamburger steak was smothered in grilled onions and gravy making it perfect. Service was very good. Definitely a place Ill come back to. recommend

After not having visited for a while, I decided to go for a Saturday breakfast. It was outstandingly good. The service was what really blew me away. Our server was quick, friendly, and knew exactly when to come by. He was on point. The food was really good too. I wasnt the biggest fan of their white gravy, but the pancake was good, eggs cooked right, and the bacon was decently crispy. Cant wait to go back.

Soup of day was good it was a veggie soup no meat. Was a little blan. Was great after some salt and pepper. The gumbo was blank as well but had a great consistency. But its ok to me to add salt and pepper that way you cater to a larger diversity of what people want. The meatloaf was sweet and the hamburger steak was missing garlic and seasoning. Note to self you cant add seasons to the inside of meat once its cooked. The fried mushrooms were on point but the fried pickles were over crunchy in my opinion. I say this diner is very average but also does very good on average because theres no one like them around. Altogether experience was great. The staff was excellent the food was filling. I do recommend to stay clear of the bread pudding. Dont do it to yourself.

This restaurant is always packed.Friendly staff always willing to help eachother to get food out quickly.Great food,fast and sufficient service.Parking on the other hand well you may have to wait a bit.But its worth it.

This was a spot I took my parents after a long drive from South Dakota via a stop in Panama City Florida. I always look for a spot that is a local fav with great local type meals. The catfish salad was my choice with the homemade dressing.Great service staff with good personalities.

We chose Hub City Diner and were glad that we did. The mushroom and cheese omelet that I ordered was good. My friend ordered the blueberry pancake. He liked it very much. It was HUGE. This was one of the first times neither of us ordered any breakfast meat but that was not intentional.

Friendly, clean diner. Real good food, we both had blackened catfish platter. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Prices fair. Took a slice of pecan pie to go. Didnt try it yet tho. Would go here again !

We ate here 11/03/2020, we had the fried pickles, mushroom and Swiss burger, meatloaf, and sweet potato fries..... It was amazing and reasonably priced. The waitress, Ellie, was such a sweetheart and very professional, someone we would hire in a heartbeat if she knew anything about the trucking industry.

The food was good, and made fresh. However, the sides of the tables were dirty (got a ketchup stain on my shirt). Many people came in without masks, even with a sign on the door. I wouldnt go again.

The food was dry and over cooked my waiter wasnt that attentive and these Beignets was raw you can clearly see it in the picture and when I complained he wasnt really that concerned.

As usual, Hub City Diner is amazing. My buddy got the hamburger steak with cheese on it, and I got the Catfish Louisiana (grilled catfish with shrimp etouffee). It was amazing. If youre going down College Road, make sure to stop here for an amazing old school diner experience!
