Beautiful store with knowledgeable helpful and friendly staff. The classes have been amazing. Eli really knows what he is doing when he fixes machines!
Im so happy to have owned this beautiful store for the last 2 years, and am looking forward to many more as your local BERNINA dealer!
I am happy to have worked here for nearly three years now, I love taking care of my customers and repairing machines!
Im always on the lookout for small sewing and fabric supply business with quality product. Studio Bernina has quickly become one of my two go-to fabric suppliers. Ive only been able to make online or phone purchases, but each has gone smoothly and the employees and owner are able to answer any questions I have. Shipping is fast, so I can get working sooner. In addition, the owner adapts well to changing landscapes, especially during 2020. I would not have been able to keep up with mask making without their help.
I was quoted six weeks from the technician, back in May. After six weeks, I had to call and inquiry about my machine. And then I had to call to check up every time there after, about the progress. They had my Bernina for almost 8 months total. I understand that Bernina was slammed, the parts were on back order, but NO communication between them, unacceptable! No apologies offered eother.
I bought my Bernina 740 from this store four years ago as it gave me the best deal on my trade in. Since then Ive my Bernina and my very old Pfaff serviced here regularly and Ive been very satisfied. Besides being a fun place to visit and review the lovely fabrics and well stocked notions and supplies, the machine tech, Eli, is easy to talk with and always gives me back a machine in great shape ready to work hard for another year. I have great confidence in this stores ability to do high quality service and would buy here again if Im ever lucky enough to get a long arm. I dont take many classes but the one I did take here was good.
Outstanding service! Everyone really know they are doing and genuinely care to help you with your projects!
Paid $300+ for an embroidery class in March only to be told that my machine was too old to be able to attend the class. I was invited to attend a 1 hour class on thread and needles and instructed to keep an eye and any upcoming classes that I might be interested in taking but since I have no interest in quilting nothing had come up until a few days ago when I received an email about an basic sewing class so I replied to the email excited to finally take some type of long awaited sewing class only to find out that they’ve switched ownership and my $300 payment would not be honored.
I have been a loyal customer of this business for more than 20 years. I have always had great service from them and do not have a single problem during all these years. I took all of Susans wonderful classes during this time and some of them more then once. There is no place that teaches sewing like them. I was introduced to the Bernina machines by them and I own Bernina machines for many years. They are wonderful. I live a bit far from Studio Bernina, but it is totally worth the trip.
This place is fantastic. So many beautiful things to see all over the store. From all the colourful fabrics to the amazing quilts that are displayed throughout the space, I just love it here! I havent really been able to sew for a few years since my eyes arent what they used to be. But that doesnt stop them from making me feel like family. Thank you Studio Bernina.
I purchased my Koala sewing table here several years ago, and it was white glove delivered to my mountian home without any problems. They carried it up 2 flights of stairs, and then removed all of the trash and took it with them when they were done. So, when it was time to have my Bernina 1230 serviced, I took it to them. Extremely happy with customer service calling to tell me I needed a part and providing costs for me to approve work, and even offered me the old part with I picked it up. Machine was ready, as promised. It sews like a dream. Highly recommend this store. Referred a neighbor to them to have her Singer Featherweight serviced, and she was also very happy with their service and costs. I highly recommend them.
The staff at the Studio BERNINA are fantastic! I came in this morning with my mother -in-law who is 89 y/o. She was having problems with her sewing machine and staff, (especially Vanessa) were kind and patient in assisting her. Not only did they figure out the problem with her machine, but also gathered supplies for so she could finish a project. Thank you, thank you!!!
My experience Studio Bernina was very positive. The team was professional and friendly. They helped me to quickly assess the properties available that met our needs, choose the best option, and close the deal in just a few days.I had a great experience with them. Thank you so much!
Im so bummed that I cant write a better review, or give these guys more stars. I really like supporting local businesses, and the woman there was reasonably helpful, if a little curt, but when I went to return an item, that I determined was the wrong size for me, unopened, and the next day, I was told they, generally dont do returns. So, now Im out $20 more than I would have paid to just get it on Amazon, and stuck with something I wont use. Nothing on their receipt, either printed or electronic, said that they dont take returns on anything. Pretty disappointing.
What a delight it was doing business with your technician, Eli. Eli was pleasant and very helpful. He is what customer service should be. Thank You Eli.
This is one of the best most professional (in parts and accessories) sewing shop in the city. They know their stuff. I just wish they had stuff in centimeters as well. Kinda pricy though but the the women (who u had most of my contact with) were very nice and helpful.
Wow! What an experience. I think these people skipped customer service day at school. These elderly ladies apparently dont need business. We will drive to get better service elsewhere. Never go in there.
Ive been a loyal customer of Studio Bernina for almost twenty years. If youre willing to invest in top of the line sewing machines, this is the place to shop. There is excellent support with classes and service for your Bernina, fantastic designer fabrics and unique, professional tuition from the owner, Master Tailor, Susan Igou.
Studio Bernina has been the center of our sewing world for 30 years. Our daughter, daughter-in-law, nephew, and many of our friends have bought sewing machines from Susan. Outstanding service and sewing classes were always there to support us. Thank you to Studio Bernina!
We used this place for our company sewing machine. After one of the main feeder gears went on our machine, it was the hardest thing to find someone who could help us. They fixed it within a week. And we were able to get our machine back and get our curtains completed for one of our campervan rentals. Woohoo. The price was reasonable too especially as it was an older machine.
I bought a sewing cabinet from Studio Bernina. They would not work with me on lowering my tax bite, since I live in unincorporated Boulder County, I really did not need to pay the Louisville city tax, but and reminded them of this since delivery was from the manufacturer directly. Vanessa state that paper work would be too complicated, but offered the acrylic insert for free. When that arrived by mail, I realized it had been bought through a second vendor not, Koala, and cost Studio Bernina about $50.00 for which they made me pay unnecessarily +$200.00 in taxes. Also I have a large machine, and wanted the extra heavy duty lift. The sales woman had never heard of this extra, though the shop has been carrying this cabinet maker for years (their whole sewing school area is out fitted with these cabinets). They assured me that I did not need the upgrade in the lift. Today I found out from the cabinet maker that I was misinformed and that I should have had this lift. Dont buy stuff from this store. The customer service is poor, and they dont know what they are doing.
Studio Bernina has fabulous sewing classes and provides great support for sewing machine owners and students. Free how to classes for all machines, use of Bernina sewing machines in classss, onsite machine service. Sewing curriculum is unmatched. Fabrics are all of natural materials. Love this place!
I have been a customer of studio BERNINA for over 30 years and have purchased machines, fabrics, notions and taken many classes with them. I know they are a retail store and not everyone that comes in is very nice, but these ladies take the good with the bad amazingly, and I love that even when someone is mean to Pat she never lets it affect her or her happy attitude. I can guarantee if you walk in with a smile you would be greeted with one! Their repair department is reputable and despite what other reviewers have said here I have had help from their technician on phone just last month and he knew everything about my BERNINA B790 and could talk me through what I was doing wrong on the phone. I was amazed and grateful. I didnt have to haul this heavy beast into the store! He also fixed my grand daughters Bernette after she sewed her finger and knocked the needle out of alignment. it came back good as new! (My grand daughter did too) Thank you ladies for all you do! And that you keep showing up and not letting a few bad apples ruin your day, and make your jobs harder. I will always be a studio BERNINA loyalist!
I had sent my sewing machine in for what I thought was a routine fix. The reason I chose Studio Bernina is I thought they sent sewing machines out to a registered Bernina repair person.I used the machine a few months after i got it back and it never worked and in fact got worse. I asked if it could have it looked at again. And Studio Bernina said it had been too long.I took the machine back after going in the shop.... no “hi how are you.” So i said hi and explained and no “Bye, have a good day.” That is poor customer service.I then took the machine to Kurt who apparently used to work for the owner. He said that a vacuum and sewing machine dealer is where sewing machines are sent when someone from Studio Bernina needs their sewing machine repaired.I was appalled!!!Kirt also said the machine had barely been used by me. And the gears should have never been replaced. Bit the worst thing is that he opened mu machine and showed me how this “repairman” did not put the machine together correctly.I would live to say I sew for fun but I need it to keep food on the table.Having to pay Kirt for repairs that shouldnt have been needed due to another person not doing the right thing is disheartening.
Fast, experienced, professional services.I would definitely recommend this Sewing Machine store to more people.Thanks.
Good price, everyone was friendly and helpful with all my questions.Thanks.
Perfect response! trustful sewing shop!
Wow! Worst customer service ever. I went in to get some help with a sewing project and find out about classes, but I had to wait 20+ minutes for the woman to get off the phone to talk to me. She informed me that no one would be willing to talk to me until I signed up for a 7-week class that was not even scheduled yet. No thanks.
