This place had over so many good stuff to choose from. The chips and noodles that you cant find at a regular grocery store. Great friendly service will be back again.

Jasmine rice is my favorite. Got green tea and some sweets. They have a wide variety of foods. If you are making international dishes its a great store to shop.

I love this place. It is very well kept. They have Asian fruit here and things to cook with. This place also has candy that is so good. I got a nice bowl for only $8.00.

I will never purchase from Asian Market again. Lets just talk about the elephant in the room...this business does not treat African Americans the same way they treat other patrons. I have gone to this market multiple times excited to try different products. Every experience has been a bad one at Asian Market. Extremely rude staff and I was actually charged double on more than one item. I knew I was correct on the price, but he refused to acknowledge it and never made eye contact. He knew he was not being truthful. Its unfortunate that most people of color seem to have the same experience at this business. Broad selection or not I will be sure to find another market for my needs.

I had not been there in a year. OMG! They have added so many things even live Dungeness crabs and lobsters!!!! It is like done of the big Asian markets in Houston on a small scale. AMAZING!!!!

Yes! All customers and employees had masks on. There was hand sanitizer by the entrance door and by the credit card machine. Theyre a great example of how to shop safely during Covid.

Weve been going here for years and its the best! Lovely store with a cozy environment and wonderful staff. Would always recommend.

They have a great selection, however, an employee member was incredibly rude to us over a misunderstanding.Someone stepped out of line so we stepped forward, not realizing they were coming back. Instead of just letting us know we had made a mistake, the employee started scanning our items and in-between each item, stopped, put his hands on the counter, and gave us the meanest look Id ever gotten from anyone in my life. It honestly scared me and if he had just told me I had made a mistake I would have had no issue stepping back!Needless to say, Ive never gone back and I dont believe I ever will. This happened several months ago, but I still get anxiety thinking about it.

According to my husband this place has alot of specialty Asian foods, spices, ect.... especially if you are making an unique Asian dish. They do not speak english so communication was difficult.

They have a pretty broad selection, but I’m hesitant to return. Their cashier came across as rude to me and my husband. He didn’t smile or respond to our friendly greetings, which honestly wouldn’t have bothered me too much but he then intentionally made a show of holding our bank card away from us until the transaction was completed. The overall interaction left us feeling very unwelcome. Also, the pears I purchased there were unfortunately infected with a fuzzy white fungus. The pictures are from less than 30 minutes after purchasing (I was looking forward to enjoying them as soon as I got home). Maybe I’ll consider giving them a try again on another day. If I do and the experience is different, then I’ll provide an update.

Nice little Asian market that has a pretty good selection of fresh Asian veges, fruits, roast duck & pork. All bottled and canned goods had no expired dates. Something to watch for in many smaller stores. Store appeared to be family run which we prefer.

They are a solid little market, with a great selection, and a lot of interesting things. The only problem is, if you want something in specific I need to ask a question, communication seems a bit difficult, at least if one is gweilo. That having been said, everyone is extremely friendly, the place is clean and well-lit, and there is a lot, from fruit to treats to fish, even live fish oh, that one can get there. They also have an entire wall of utensils and bowls and pots and chef knives. I like them very much, I just wish the they can answer me just a touch better.

Asian Market covers a huge chunk of the world in five efficiently packed aisles. It is currently (temporarily) closed and I miss the fresh greens, tang yuan, and angry mother sauce very much. Ill be back as soon as I can.

I love shop in here, clean place and looks nice. Just some Indonesian food they don’t have and some peoples work here can’t understand English and looks like not really friendly. But so far is good, I love it ❤️

I searched everywhere for lemongrass as an ingredient for a recipe but couldnt find it. I havent been to this shop before and was worried that I would be an inconvenience since I only speak English. I feel stupid for feeling that way, everyone I spoke to was helpful and I was able to find lemongrass with their assistance, as well as a few other things that I normally pay more for. The prices are very reasonable and I really liked the wide variety of things from many different countries. The store is very clean and easy to navigate through the aisles. If you are looking for any spices, tea, dishes, candy, come take a look at this awesome place.

I wouldnt call this place a hidden gem, because I think plenty of people know about it. I would say that this place is has one of the most robust selections of Asian influenced ingredients in Lafayette. This is a place that we desperately needed, so its wonderful that so many people frequent here.They have some of the more unique spices and even special herbs and roots that you cannot get anywhere else. I appreciate the Asian Market.

Coming from California, Ive had a really tough time finding a variety of ethic ingredients, fruits and veggies without driving to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. This market tries its best to being in what it can at reasonable prices. Wish I had found this place before but glad I know where it is now!

I bought some noodles and got moldy. I called and had a very bad attitude. In fact, I often go shopping and get moldy, but sometimes I want to eat Asian food. When you look closely at their store food, you will find that a lot of food is out of date and moldy when I open it after buying it. How long does it take for a bag of noodle to get moldy? I really hope that the health department can check it carefully and unscrupulous merchants can always get rich.

Absolutely love this place. They stock everything Im looking for, but the only problem is that the employees dont engage much, which is understandable since many of them only have limited English. One woman helped me out and she was absolutely fantastic and saved my butt from buying the wrong rice vinegar! The store has a wide variety of instant meals, ingredients, sweets, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and more! Probably my favorite store, plus its always so well kept! Please please please try it out if youre looking for something new!

I stumbled on this little gem when visiting Lafayette. Love this store. I lived in Asia for 1 1/2years and learned a lot of different cooking. Chinese, Indonesian, Singaporean, Thai and India. This store may appear small from the outside but has so so much..great variety.

In my family we eat a lot of Asian food despite being a German family so this I find is the best place to get everything I need to make curry, sushi, and anything green tea and sweet red bean related foods. The prices just cant be bet. Started buying my dishwasher from them super cheap, but very sturdy and I get lots of complaints on them to.

If youre looking for cute asian tableware, steamers, lunch boxes, or maybe you need some bonito for your miso soup, this is the place for you.Also, you can find a wide selection of items in the frozen aisles, including some personal favorites like the vegetable gyoza, and the taro buns. So good!Occasionally, you may run into a bit of a language barrier, but the staff is friendly and will do their best for you if you are polite.

The people of this market are racist against Black people. I will never patronize this market ever again.

I went ti the market today. The door was locked. I saw workers in there so I asked if there was a reason it was closed....no ine answered. Then I asked was ther another door that I am supposed to go through....again they did not answer they just stared. So needless to say that was first and last time going there.

Good little place to shop for the wifes little bites of home. Its as full as it can be for the size and has many options from varying Asian countries.

Although I was confused at first, I was able to find everything I needed, and I have a specialty place to go to so i can find ingredients for sushi and takoyaki.
