First, let me point out that I was told to avoid this location by someone that I would consider to epitomize the term Karen. There are a couple of bad reviews on here but, you should take that with a grain of salt. There are far more positive reviews and I stand with them. Maybe some of those who feel that they have had a negative experience should look in the mirror to solve their problem instead of criticizing the store. Just a thought.Anyway, I love Fresh Thyme. I like the selection of vegetables and juices, the meat section, the bakery, the whole set up. It has the feel of a real farmers market.The produce prices cant be beat but, a lot of their other products are organic and therefore cost more than what you would pay elsewhere. I do always get a bottle of their olive oil though. That stuff is reasonably priced. Sometimes, I stop in there just to get olive oil. I really have no complaints.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Many options for various lifestyle choices in regard to food and related items. Clean store with an efficient layout. Consider this a grocery that is done well in nearly all aspects.

One of my favorite grocery stores in Lafayette. They have unique items you cant find anywhere else and have good sale prices on many items.

Covid has really taken away the true experience of being able to get your own bulk items.

Went in there just for steaks and we came out with a cart full of stuff good deals people are really friendly.

Absolutely loved this store when it opened! Now it has changed soon much to the negative, cutting out so much of supplements dept . Have to go elsewhere for many items. Seem to have been replaced by candles - not even healthy ones ! Decreased in other items also - do not have gluten free regular oats any more.I come less, and go elsewhere more. Sad !!

Really refreshing to know they do not support medical staff here. My partner came in to buy us groceries and tried using his medical staff discount. He is a respiratory therapist actively saving covid penitents everyday working his heart out trying to help the ones who do not survive this pandemic and the old man cashing him out told him he “wasn’t a first responder” that it’s reserved for nurses and doctors. Hmmmmmm pretty sure he is a first responder since he is actively saving people daily but hey this guy knows best right? If this company truly has this value in mind that respiratory therapist are an after thought I will not be supporting this business ever again. Deplorable.

Are you a hippy? Do you buy food? Look no further. This place is for rich people only though - sorry broke boys not allowed. Its posh and hopping and vegan and fair trade and all the natural marketing buzzwords in one.

I used to drive out of my way to this Fresh Thyme because I thought it was so thoughtful for them to offer a discount to healthcare workers. Today I found out they have limited it only doctors, nurses and emt. Even though it takes radiology, lab, housekeeping, respiratory and other ancillary staff for those Doctors an Nurses to even make a decision on how to treat a patient. Not to mention many went through similar amounts of school, require licensing and work the same hours. Fresh Thyme just was a slap in the face today as they followed suit with the hospital mentality in giving raises/accolades/discounts to the ones who make the most already and saying screw you to the ones these doctors and nurses couldnt do their job without. Give you discount to all healthcare workers or none.

Best little store in town. They have what i need and want. Plus the meat is real. Not injected with salt water like most stores

This was my first time ever stopping at this store. First impressions clean and well stocked. Kinda of reminds me of whole foods. Prices a bit on the high side however everything looked fresh.

After the molded sausages wife didnt want to even fish just put back what we had and left.

Great variety of products you wont find in your typical grocery store. There are more options for those with dietary restrictions or those following specific diets. The staff is always friendly and helpful too.

Fresh Thyme, apart from being a well-constructed pun, is a great store. They have lots of options for people trying to improve their dietary health and still enjoy eating. The staff is kind and accommodating. I would rate 5 stars if not for the removal of the salad bar, which was quite a disappointment.

Fantastic fresh food at good prices you get what you pay for

The fresh sqeezed celery juice and watermelon juice spoiled the next day. Very disappointed. The fresh sqeezed orange juice was good.. guess I really gotta check the dates better. As I said VERY disappointed

Everything was clean and well stocked! Employees were very friendly. Wipes were available at front door to use on the handle of your cart. I loaded up!!!

I remember thinking when Fresh Thyme came in, whats the big deal? Now I know, I used to eat here just about daily for lunch, the ground coffee and dry goods are fantastic, and all the natural and organic foods are spectacular, wonderful presentation, staff that works the floor constantly to provide customer service, restock, and maintain all their service areas running at peak efficiency, I dont know how they do it, but its great!

Good place to go if you want different options compared to a regular grocery store. Has options for things like gluten free or healthy options, but not as much for normal groceries.

So my husband and I decided to stop and see what all the fuss was about this place. Bought over $100.00 worth of some groceries. After getting home, made the NY strip steaks, the steaks looked like they were just dipped in blood and repackaged, ate some prepackaged pj cheese with prepackaged summer sausage and it was all horrible dry sausage, dry cheese, and the 3 packages of strawberries we bought had absolutely no flavor. Best thing we did buy was a new coffee and the hot broccoli and cheese soup. What a waste of time and money. Our local grocery store has better product! We will never go to Fresh Thyme Market again. Very disappointed for all the hype we had heard about this place. But I suppose thats what you get living in the city. Glad we dont live in the city.

There is nothing bad about this place there is always someone to help you find what you need, they are always gong thru the produce pulling out the bad and refreshing them..keeping with restrictions and masks they are still super nice people..

The staff are so professional, helpful, and kind. Love visiting this place with my family. They always go above and beyond to answer all of my kids questions about the store. Lol 🙂😍🤩

Some of their products are pretty expensive, but you kind of know that going in. The best Whole Foods-style market Ive found in the area, and their meat is amazing. Plenty of specialty products that I was missing after moving from a larger city.

I thought stores like Fresh Type were geared to fancy products or to a different demographic that I put myself in. Since this store is closest to my job and home I have found I am a more frequent shopper here. Yes, there are different types of products, more organic selection of goods. Some fancy items that I thought Id not want to purchase. I have a few times picked up some of these to give them a try. Some have suprising good and and a couple I wont buy again. The prices are not significantly higher for items from other big name stores, but my bill is higher here for the amount of food in my basket compared to the bigger stores. Fot the convenience I will shop here for those days when its in my best interest.

I love this place! Its so nice to have a place for affordable, healthy, good quality goods. From their vegan and vegetarian items, to produce and dry goods, everything is high quality and relatively affordable. I definitely recommend this place, though wish there was one closer. Ill gladly make the trip again and again!

They have what we were looking for.

Went there to het some steaks for dinner and not a single one in the display case. Vegetables have been old. Not sure what happened but this is not the same store for awhile now.

Nice newer store. Clean and easy parking. I didnt see anywhere to plug in your hybrid or charge that bad boy up while shopping like Meijer and some others have. Smooth and quick checkout lanes. They have a huge wine and liquor selection. They sell king crab, which I love. Sells charcoal, lighter fluid, hot dogs and marshmallows, but does NOT sell lighters or any type of lighter device.

I came for Pumpkin seed in shell. But not have it.

Bought 2 Soy milk today and they had expired well over 5 days ago.. so much for being Fresh! Will be returning it. UNACCEPTABLE!

Great prices on meats and fresh produce. The thick sliced bacon from the meat counter is the best. We wont buy bacon from anywhere else.

Always Love Fresh Thyme ... but today 2 customers (husband/wife) were NOT wearing masks. It upset another customer & i heard the ladies screaming at each other. I just wanted to checkout & get away from the needless bad vibe. Also the couple must be uneducated, as I wear a mask to protect you & you wear a mask to protect me. Obviously the hillbillies do not care about others.

Why have I written this novella of a review?I suffered the worst customer-service experience of my life in a grocery store last night at the Lafayette, IN location and want to help someone else avoid the same pitfall whether they choose to shop there or not.==============CAVEAT LECTOR==============Be warned that you may potentially get interrupted rudely, literally shooed off with hand waiving, and told, You can leave now, in a very hostile tone by an associate if they see you speaking to a manager about an unpleasant experience. (Even if you did not interact with said hostile associate and she did not know what was articulated to the manager prior to her confrontational interjection.) I think a reasonable, even-tempered person may have been inclined to yell or curse at her in response to her clearly trying to solicit a fight. A customer with her demeanor would have responded to her in a manner that caused an altercation and potential involvement of local police.Be further prepared that when you try to follow up about such a nasty situation with the store management the following day that they will (1) communicate with their tone and words they do not care and are bothered by you, (2) not be inclined to understand/empathize why an experience was unpleasant to you, (3) be dismissive of/minimalize your experience/reaction, (4) go on the defensive/assert that your perspective/interpretation lacks validity to them and bears no merit, and (5) assert that they always get rave reviews on their excellent customer service ergo you must be mistaken and, again, invalid. (But, if you are patient enough and can get management to actually let you finish speaking without cutting you off, you may be able to get the answers you sought from two different people prior. They may even hear your belief on why they should consider the reaction of a customer like you.)I would understand this kind of response if I were yelling, speaking in an overtly hostile manner, and threatening violence but I was not. I was trying to solicit information on what options I had to order/act in different manners as not to be a customer from Hades. I was trying to provide feedback on how they could improve communication with customers to avoid further situations like this. I also wanted to ensure the behavior of the rogue associate was documented for future reference to help her get training/learn how not to handle a customer and in the event she acted inappropriately like this again with another customer. Heaven forbid a poor and future customer gets traumatized by said associate or trying to rectify the situation with the stores upper management.Despite the kindness and rock-star customer-service awesomeness the floor/key manager on duty delivered and the kind cashier, how the assistant manager handled my call this morning essentially unraveled his good deeds and that of the cashier. Because of the aforementioned above points, she compounded the distasteful experience. My call with her also solidified my thought/decision that I should permanently avoid the location. I also will continue to reiterate a recommendation to those I know, if possible, to avoid shopping at this particular location if they must interact with more than a cashier -- that they are better off going to the West Lafayette location or elsewhere. This is sad considering many there are lovely, hardworking people. (God bless all of them for working in the capacity they do during a pandemic.)So, if you shop there, know you are difficult to hear because of your mask, and have to request goods from the deli or meat department, I HIGHLY recommend you ask them (1) to repeat your order, (2), if you have to wait (West Lafayette asks you to continue shopping), and/or (3) try to order by phone in advance. If you take these measures and still have a very bad experience, it may be best to avoid communicating the issue or trying to provide constructive feedback to management. The attempt may compound the unpleasantries. May be best to shop elsewhere for the sake of peace & civility.

My favorite fresh market. They have limited selection on somethings but if I want organic produce, it is on my top 3 list of places to go. Some of the prices are inflated but what do you expect.

Love this store. It is a store I do my regular grocery shopping. Produce and meat are always fresh. They have every kind of vitamins I want. Unfortunately, I had some bad days lately being billed for things I didnt purchase. As a result, I had to drive about 10 miles to the store to get the refund. I learned to be a smarter shopping since then, checked the receipt before I drove away from the store.

I absolutely love Fresh Thyme, they have the best produce around. Ive also found their meat counter to be lovely, you can find stuffed pork chops, which I highly recommend. Then there is the deli counter, they have everything! Fresh Thyme is also a great place to go if you are on a special diet, they have everything from organic to vegan and back again.

Very nice place. Everyone extremely helpful, even other customers! Handicapped parking is in the best possible location on the lot. Powered carts had nice deep baskets and are in excellent condition. Didnt see any push wheelchairs, however they could have been in use. Loved the smell of the store.

Wonderful farmers market / health food type feel to it. Warm, bright, welcoming. Wonderful deli, salad bar, meat, bakery, cheese dept.. So much to choose from. Great sales and when items are on sale they are often much cheaper than other grocery store. A little expensive to do all shopping here. We shop here for specialty and sale items. They have an app and you can sign up for additional discounts and coupons. You can order pizzas and sandwiches, sushi, and other items all freshly prepared. A great place to grab a bite for lunch. I like it much more than Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. Not so large that it’s overwhelming to shop there, can get in and out quickly.

Great place if you want high quality fruits and vegetables, as well as many more specialized items (including plenty of options for those with gluten problems). Cold brew coffees, all sorts of yogurts made from coconut to soy, almond butters, specialty candies, etc. Great selection of gelator and ice cream flavors.Only major negative is price - this is not a cheap store, especially if you want things beyond fruits and vegetables. However, with stores like this - especially considering it is the only one in Lafayette - this is to be expected. I do recommend looking for certain items that you can get at Meijer or Walmart there to save some money.So while expensive, the great variety and specialized foods - and the very kind staff - make it worth it if you want things beyond what youll find in a general supermarket.
