Bought chicken biryani from here. First of all, the cashier doesn’t really have any care for customers. Second, that biryani was more like rice and chicken curry. Sucks being living in asmall town. They can feed you whatever and charge you so much for anything which don’t even worth that much. Never going back again!

Finally a place for a great indian food buffet. Went for lunch today and it was fantastic. Not a large selection but everything was delicious and well seasoned. This will be our new go to place especially in Lafayette.

Food is really good⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!. However, I ordered Chicken Biryani with garlic naan, and side of chick peas. They wanted to charge me $27. And I was at the register. too expensive.

Very inconsistent. Chicken 65 seems to always be cooked differently and sometimes comes with rice and sometimes doesn’t. Spice level is also inconsistent. Employees also not following mask mandates so I will be avoiding in the future. Sorry to see this place going down in quality because the first year or two after they opened were excellent.

Loved it. The goat biriyani is the icon of this restaurant to me. The food taste tastes like the Bangladeshi food to me as I am from there. The chicken biriyani is also good there. The amount given by them is enough for two people easily. Though the price is little bit higher but its worth it.

BewareI bought 6 Thick Poha packets. Two of them were tagged as $3.99, four of them were tagged as $5.99. All were same size though. I was in a hurry and paid bill and rushed to car. Always love getting food from here and the beef/veggie samosa, fried rice, and butter chicken are my favorite. Their grocery has spices needed for cooking Indian cuisine at home and they also carry some interesting and tasty packaged cookies.

I ordered the buttered Chicken and and the buttered naan. It was delicious. They have great food. In the grocery part I found dried chick peas!!! I have been looking all over Lafayette for dried chickpeas for 6 months!!!!! The only problem is the location is hard to turn left out of around 6pm because of rush hour.

Best tandoori chicken I have had in Louisiana. This is such a simple, lovely little spot to enjoy a quick, delicious meal, and it looks as though they are always updating in order to provide a better atmosphere.

Bismillah has a fantastic selection of Indian food based ingredients, including multiple variations of ghee, various spices that I have never been able to find in regular grocery stores, and now they have a lunch buffet.If youre looking to cook any sort of Indian food, this is a really good place to start. The man behind the counter was even kind enough to speak to me about recipes. I feel like hes a good source of information.

Worst experience ever. I have ordered chicken 65 appetizer spicy and dry. But they gave me the chicken with rice and gravy on it. When i called them to explain it their answer is thats how they cook dry. They didnt accept the truth.

Ordered Pallak paneer. The paneer felt like tofu. I was misled by the reviews on google. Totally forgot that locals dont know how the authentic Indian food taste. I would rather recommend restaurant named Masala.Also to be unbiased it’s possible Bismillah has good non vegetarian food. But for vegetarian I would not recommend it.

I was so excited when Lafayette finally got an Indian store. This is our go-to place when we crave biryani. The food is excellent and the price is fair. We only really had the biryani but everything else looks delicious as well.

SO GOOD!! The lunch buffet is $9.99 (we came on a Monday) and the selection was AMAZING! Its not anything like the other local buffets. Its small, and has everything you could want. The lady at the counter was super nice and was available to answer all our questions. We decided to try some Indian drinks. I wasnt a fan of the chunky basil seeds in my drink, but my BF loooved his Lychee Juice. The grocery selection was super fun to look through. Im excited that theres a place in town with a REAL selection of gyro meats and naan now! Theres cut up lamb and goat in the freezer too!The food is spicy but not the local Cajun spicy. Curries and cocunut flavors everywhere! Definitely the new flavor Lafayette needed!Definitely check it out!

Excellent, authentic Indian food, and an incredibly friendly staff. It can be slow when theyre busy, and it can be tedious to pull the meat off of the bone if you order goat or chicken, but none of that matters when the food is so good, and the staff so inviting.

I am sad about the fact that they advertise they make momo every Saturday and whenver I call on Saturday they never have momo. Its been almost three consecutive weeks and same guy answers the phone and when I ask him for momo he says he doesnot know when they are gonna make but it is not made today. So its been almost a month that they have not made momo. Next week I am going get the name of the guy and put here in the review. Very bad service. The whole point is if you are not gonna make MOMO on Saturday why Advertise to people. Makes no sense. Very frustrated.

Saw Bismillah pop up when scrolling through Waitr and thought I would give them a try. Went to pick it up and Shah was very friendly and welcoming. My food was still being prepared, so we chatted about the store and other food items. He went to the back and grabbed me a few samples to try while I waited and it was all amazing! I ordered the Vegetable tikka Masala and Chicken Curry, both paired with their garlic naan and puff bread. Ill be bringing my friend back here Thursday and plan to spread the word.
