Loved my first experience at Gillis meat market, had everything I expected and more. Got home sliced into the summer sausage..... Wow, just Wow.... perfect! Easily the best I have ever had. Cant wait to try the jalapeño and duck wrapped in bacon, the Cauliflower boudin(Keto/low carb), and the pepper jack burgers. So much more to mention. Frog legs Peking duck, chicken patties, ground venison..... you get the picture.

Choice cuts and always in good supply. Its very difficult to find a meat market of this quality in the area.

Has been our families boudin stop for over 40 years. Seen this little store go thru lots of storms, but always bounces back. Gillis truly will not disappoint you.

I get my steaks from here and it is awesome the steaks are always fantastic. they have a great meat selection. You can also get awesome sides like bacon wrapped jalapeño and rabbit and other things like that. They make the best boudin in town hands down. their sausage doesnt stay in the casing well at least from my experience so I cannot really use it for my gumbo but it is great on the grill. the casing not staying on is the reason I only gave 4 stars

This place has a wide range of meats including rabbit and gator. It smells awesome and the people are nice.

Be prepared for your senses to go wild as soon as you walk in you are hit with an amazing aroma of smoked meats and Cajun seasonings. and to top it off the customer service is amazing plenty of choices to choose from high quality meats you couldnt ask for more.

We came from Alabama, and wanted to try some of this boudin everyone talks about. Good golly molly that stuff was awesome. Ive never eaten boudin, and to tell you the truth it sounded kinda gross. But my goodness! Now were craving it. Bought some to bring back with us, and then forgot to get it from the fridge. We also got some bacon jalapeno wrapped duck, and it was the bomb too! I wish we could get it shipped here.

Bought a pack of Louisiana crawfish the more expensive crawfish opened the pack and the was a pack inside it that said Chinese crawfish was extremely mad about this since there is such price difference

I cant even believe Gillis Meat Market doesnt have a 5 star rating !!They have the best meats, meat deals and even dress out your deer,for you. Or they used to anyway..They have the 2nd best Boudin in South West Louisiana!!They are only second best to Rabideauxs in Iowa,LA. Thats far and few between!!!
