Such a cool little store! They have a wide variety of foreign snacks and food. Also lots of manga and technology related stuff. Overall a pretty nice store if anything the snacks are a bit expensive. But I figured thats normal for imported snacks and food I suppose.

A relic of the past. Its a cool place to visit to take a trip down memory lane, also they have exclusives. However, I dont see it as having a sustainable future in the digital era, sadly. At least not without consolidation and limiting what they carry and adapting to a modern era, which would mean a total rebranding. They have alot of cds, DVDs, records and toys and merchandise.

Great place to find knick knacks, vinyls, and tshirts. Workers were very nice despite juggling around a million things during the holiday rush.

They tried to charge me more than the price that was on the tags attached to two different items. Check your receipts, very sketchy.

Their selection of previously owned videos cant be beat!Im disappointed in their selection of Funko POPs, it can be because its after the Christmas Sales that they dont seem to have the Just Released POPs.

Wide variety and excellent prices

Prices are pretty fair. Can usually buy movies at market price or lower. GREAT SALES on used movies. Selection is THE BEST. If youre looking for older more obscure movies, this should be your first stop, way better than best buy and around the same price or cheaper (Except on brand new releases). All used movies are in great condition, never had any issues. AND you can trade in fir cash or store credit.

Im torn on my opinion about this store. Its a fantastic store, its literally geek heaven. From dragon ball z, walking dead, stranger things, marvel and DC comics, star wars, star trek, movies and music, its got everything. Figurines, shirts, collectibles, vinyl records, candy and snacks, and key chains. Theyve got any kind of merchandise you can think of. Its definitely a good place for geeks like me. But unfortunately they tricked me into paying for a membership program with them. They told me it was free to sign up for and they wouldnt charge me for the membership. But they lied, because 3 months after I signed up I look at my transaction history on the chase app and see that Ive been paying around 12$ each month to FYE. I never even gave them my card info when I signed up, so I can only assume they took it when I made the purchase. Anyways I call FYE and after many tries by the representative to persuade me to keep my membership, I got my membership canceled. Then after an attempt to deny me a refund for being lied to about a free membership, they went ahead and refunded my money. The store is great for geeks, I cant deny that. But theyre very sneaky those cashiers, dont EVER sign up for the free membership!

Great place to find movies and music

They try to scam you into buying this special package, if you sign up with email its like $13 a month for nothing, jumping thru hoops to cancel .

This store changed big time. They hardly sell music or movies anymore. I was happy to see FYE starting to sell records but it seems that they gave up on those sales pretty quickly. Limited stock with little variety.

Always have I enjoyed FYE, mainly due to the fact that they provide not only Asian Snacks but CDs that I always seem to have a problem finding anywhere else

They dont match their website prices and expect a five dollar markup on movies. There are bargains there if you shop carefully. A big used selection. Better Record selection than most chain stores.

While there are great novelty items here, there arent many price tags shown. When checking out, dont get looped into their aggressive marketing of their free fye membership. IT IS NOT FREE and customers should FULLY BE AWARE. I had no idea about the automatic charge of $11.99 monthly fee on the credit or debit card used during my transaction after a 30 day trail membership. My salesperson was named Melanie and she never mentioned anything about a monthly charge. There are not enough FYE stores in long island to even have the audacity to charge a high monthly charge. I was annoyed when she handed me my receipt and i saw the details.

Waste of time over expensive can find everything on Amazon is cheaper and they force you to sign up for a monthly subscription service.

They have a great assortment of items you don usually see at another store like this.. unfortunately I think they are on the pricy side for this same reason... But check for yourselves

I love FYE. The people are always so helpful. I just wish they had more music and less novelty but that is just what more people want I suppose.

This absolute garbage corporation has fraudulently signed my credit card up for the Backstage Pass for the SECOND TIME without my permission. To say that I am fuming is an understatement. Look online- I am far from the only victim of this shameless, illegal SCAM. Not a cent of my money will ever be spent at this dump again, and I strongly encourage others to never shop here again as well. I eagerly await the day that these corporate pigs and their cashier pawns get what’s coming to them. This entire operation needs to be shut down for good.

This place has a very good selection of DVDs, collectables, and apparel. However, their prices are quite high. This basically stops me from actually buying anything here though I do enjoy window shopping at this store.

This is the FIRST review I ever wrote anywhere because I was so appalled on how the staff handled what was an Inconvenient but easy situation to solve. I was with my younger cousin shopping and everything was fine, we were polite to the staff who asked us for help, was already there for about 15 minutes. My cousin changed his mind on getting a mug so he put it back (I was in the aisle behind) and the mug got accidentally dropped and broke. Obviously its a situation which you need to compose and think for a few seconds but right away a mid aged female staff member (possibly the manager) went to me right away and said Youre running away, really? I saw you trying to run to the front of the store! After trying to clarify that I never moved and told my cousin to move away from the glass, she kept saying whatever over and over. I offered to pay for it, was saying I was trying to take the blame and want running away. She kept saying I saw you run to the front of the store! Whatever whatever I said I didnt appreciate her being nasty while I was calmly trying to resolve the situation. She then got someone to go into my face and kicked me out (an older female staff member) Totally unnecessary and unprofessional if a customer accidentally broke something, you remain calm and try to resolve the situation. They definitely dont know how to work in that type of environment.Acc

Great store with tons of collectables such as POP figures, music, posters, speakers, keychains, movies and clothing. There is an variety of things that could possibly offer a better price than other stores.

Walking into FYE instantly transported me back to 2005. While the store has changed a lot (they sell more toys and t-shirts than CDs) it was refreshing to browse a music section rather than search songs on YouTube or Spotify. I hope they remain in business for years to come. I will be returning.

F.Y.E. in Lake Grove, NY was phenomenal. The selection of both DVDs and CDs were vast, the employees were nice and the store was well maintained. Totally recommend!

They have a little bit of everything here: vinyls, DVDs, CDs, posters, and a section dedicated to Japanese snacks and drinks. The prices are reasonable and almost everytime I stop at the mall, I make sure to drop in and see what they have.

My store closed. The website let me order a sold out item and did not email me to notify me item was cancelled. Wont order from website again.

Great selection of pop figures and t-shirts! Store is really hot year round, I think thats just the entire mall though.

Beware.. A guy working the cash register decided to sign me up for something without telling me. All he had requested from me was the typical information a store usually requests when you are a new customer so I didnt think anything of it . The next thing I know Im getting a charge from F.Y.E on my bank account a month later for 11.99. Found out that he signed me up for a backstage program. He didnt even ask me if I wanted a discount or to sign up for anything.

I went to the mall today for what most people would call a dreaded return because its not a guarantee. People usually have to fight for a return -- often shouting, Im the customer! So I took the kindness road and it was very rewarding for both of us.A little more than two months ago I bought a cassette connection to play music in my car. Everything was in great shape except for the plastic cable surrounding the male piece that gets inserted into the headphone jack -- it kept shorting out when playing music, which is worse than having no music.I didnt have a receipt and I explained this situation to her. I specified that I bought it here -- at this store -- too.The store manager was on the front lines, who was helping me from the start, and she was courteous in explaining the return policy. Though my return (without a receipt) was outside of the exchange policy she made it happen.I cant help but think this worked out for both of us because we acted like people and not buyers and sellers. We found compassion for a mutual cause. The truth is, customers have the best customer service experience when youre understanding and nice. People want to naturally help you when youre amicable. And this was also an opportunity for her to do something great for her store and stores reputation (which is more important than ever). Positive experiences go a long way in the retail industry and I wanted to celebrate this moment.I called to ask for the managers name because I forgot to ask, but they must have been busy. After we finished the exchange I told her how much I appreciated it (saved me a little bit of money and made me very happy) and asked if she was on Google+ so I could write a review. She isnt and joked that its hard enough for her to log into Facebook.By the end of the conversation we had made a personal connection and parted ways both feeling good. In the end, thats what business and people should be all about.

Pay cash. Dont let them see your credit card. Dont give them a real email address. They will sign you up for memberships, Free magazines, rewards programs, etc.. You name the scam, they are running one of them. If you do make the mistake of paying by credit card, watch your statement for mystery charges in upcoming months. they are theives. I really hate the fact that nobody permits a zero star rating. ZERO to google.
