We coming to the store, nobody greets us, nobody asks us if we need help. Were trying to find paint And theres only 20 or 30 swatches that we see. I have to call for assistance several times, because the girl was hiding in the back. When I asked where all the swatches were, she said thats all they had. No assistance to find the right color for us, no questions about what we wanted to paint, absolutely no assistance at all. Wasted trip. Id rather go to home Depot next door where people are willing to help and purchase Benjamin Moore or Behr.
You walk in, no one greets you and when I approach the counter I have to ask for assistance, no acknowledgement and still no hello or offer of help. I ask for assistance and Im offered a Zoom session with a color expert. Ace here I come!
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Defender paint is great! I went from a gold to light gray and it covered well and the best part is that it only needed 1 coat! Thats awesomeness to me!
Very helpful and knowledgeable. I havent used the paint yet to compare or rate it.We have now used the ceiling paint and stain. I can honestly say that we loved the ceiling paint. No splatter and covered with one coat even in the kitchen. The stain was color matched perfectly. I do wish the man that helped me when I came in to order product would have listened to what my project was and given me a gel stain instead of a wipe on. The woman that actually mixed it and talked to me at pickup even said that would have been better. I used the wipe on but had to do 4 coats to get the coverage that I wanted! Lesson learned.
We are avid fans of Sherwin-Williams Paint. They are point on when matching colors. Ive never had perfect matches before and theirs is so good that we could touch-up and not be able to see the difference between the old paint and the new. Their paint is thick and goes on easily and covers well.
My father wen to this store a few days ago to get 5 gallons of wood stain. Right as he walked he greeted the cashier by saying good morning, and she totally ignored him. She later took more than 30 minutes to get the wood stain he asked for. When she finally finished she started checking his stuff out then asked for company phone number to confirm the purchase. She kept saying that she was calling but nobody was answering. He insisted her to call but she kept saying no one picked up. He then called and they answered right away. She did all of this with a bad attitude and barely speaking to him. I dont know if thats her customer service, but to my father it felt more like a race thing. Hes an older Hispanic man with a small English vocabulary. Her name is Brianna. If she doesnt like her job or the usual customers that stop by, then she needs to stop working there!!!
Great product, great staff, great store.
From my past experience this has been a good shop... if you just need some paint and stain. DO NOT LEAVE ANY IMPORTANT PARTS OR PRODUCT WITH THIS SHOP (for color match or otherwise). I left them with a brand new vanity door in attempts to try to get a stain color match. I was contacted (once) after their final attempt at a match... and to also pick up the vanity door that I left with them... Im going be reasonable and say, to their credit (I didnt get back there till several months later). But, also I received one call! They claim to have given several follow ups, if so, I would of certainly put some more urgency to it. The door is no where to be found, staff was quite frankly rude and neglecting to accept any fault of their own. This is a brand new cabinet for a completely refinished bathroom as of this year and replacement parts may not even be available anymore. Super disappointed in the shops lack of responsibility in this case! Dont trust them with any more then just buying shelf items or mixing paint, because they either 1. dont care, 2. cant communicate between employees and shifts or 3. cant handle it. Ive gotten all my paint there for EVERY PROJECT for the past 8.5 years (since I purchased my home) so this is really disappointing!(update) I did call the number, and ultimately received a call back with help in the matter from the city manager of SW, and updated call from the vanity manufacturer as well. I will still be using them in the future. I just wanted a little accountability and help with figuring this out.
I would say that the service was very good & prompt! And the cashier also put my can of paint in the machine so it was properly stirred for our kitchen project. The perks program is great too!
Very knowledgable. Helped us through every question we had. recommended the right materials for the job.
Terrible communication. I had 3 gallons of paint that was over a year old that I wanted to return. I wasnt sure if Id be able to, so I called ahead of time to explain that they were over a year old. I spoke with Bekah and she said that it was fine and I could bring them in to return. When I got there, I was then told that I couldnt return them because they were too old. I would have been fine with that from the beginning if I was told that over the phone, but now Im very unhappy that I wasted my time loading the paint in my car and driving to the store, to accomplish nothing. Why even bother calling?Update(1/15/2019): This review was originally a 1 star review and I changed it to 3 stars. A regional manager at Sherwin Williams contacted me about this complaint to follow up and they made it right. I dont feel its necessary to go into details on that, but I wanted to update this so that anyone who sees this review knows that it wasnt just a purely negative experience for me. Sherwin Williams does right by their customers and does care about the experience their customers have. While I still wish the issue had been resolved at the store to begin with and that I didnt have a reason to leave a bad review in the first place, I was satisfied with how my complaint was handled.
Horrible horrible services Once I got there the girl named Bria did not say one word until I got to the cash register and told her what I wanted. She was not helpful what’s so ever and just rude in general. People who don’t know how to work in customer service don’t belong there.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
The store has the best people working there. Very helpful and friendly! I moved last summer but still continue to make the drive to go to Lake in the Hills. THE BEST STORE!
The sales associates were very knowledgeable and helpful. Not hard sell sales tactics involved. When we were ready to buy our paint they took care of us promptly and made the 14 gallons we needed and then loaded them into our vehicle for us.
Quality of both products and personal service. I had questions about prep and painting application that were thoroughly discussed and which gave me a better understanding about how this specific project would go.
Went to this SW location a few times in past month and they have helped me out a ton and are very knowledgeable. I love their paint and their service is outstanding!
We were in and out great customer service!
Staff has expert knowledge and saved me from making a costly mistake. Much better service, selection and knowledge than the big box home improvement stores down the street.
Has everything you need and they employees know their stuff.
The store on Randall Road in Lake in the Hills is great. The associates are friendly and helpful.
Fast, product focused, not overwhelming like the big box stores. Catch a sale and a great deal for the price and quality!
The new management is great. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful . Their prices are great. The manager is always there.
This store needs personnel that care about the customer and were trained. Also we were not crazy about the quality of the paint - we only painted a small laundry room and ran out of a whole gallon of paint - and we only did one coat! And there are places that need to be touched up and we dont have any paint left!! And the ceiling pain did not cover well either.
Conner rocks this store
Great products and service
I will have to wait until I see how the paint holds up
I stopped in for a gallon of paint. The girl that helped me gave me the wrong paint. I noticed when I was half way home so I had to turn around and come back. When I came in and told her she referred me to one of the other workers because she was leaving for the day with no apology.
Worst customer service and watch the shelf prices they do a lot of switch and bait. Painters tape was supposed to be on special and when it rang up for original price guy was like I put tag in wrong spot. Really
Knowledge and expertise is invaluable
