This was a cute little shop my friend and I happened by today. Some really cute things. Whole room of baby clothes and lots of Florida type gifts and jewelry.

When youre looking for something unique for someone special this is the place. Youll be a hit at the baby shower or the wedding shower. Gifts for all occasions at the right price.

The owner showed her prejudiced side. I wont call her a racist as she did not speak much to definitively form that opinion however, her tone when she did speak and body language definitely projected such. The shop had very cute clothes, yet if you are conscious about where your $$ is going and do not want it going into the pockets of a person who has negative reactions to interracial couples, I implore you to shop elsewhere! - Story to follow.Myself (black), husband (white), mother (black) & daughter (b/w) were shopping for a sunhat for the baby (5 mos). As we walked in, we gushed at how cute the clothes were and had decided on a sun hat when the owner heard us speaking and came to greet us. As she was walking around the corner she was in the midst of saying her welcome sentence that I am sure she has said millions of times. Yet before she finished her welcome and rounded the corner she saw us. Her cheery welcome turned into a disgusted dismissive greeting. Her body got stiff as if she didnt know what to say. Then she watched us (#shoppingwhileblack). Didnt offer any help in finding an item. So my mother broke the ice and asked about baby socks. The woman quickly interjected very loudly then walked back around the corner from which she came. We left. My husband was so uncomfortable & my mom was content with not purchasing the hat....even though she really wanted to buy it :/I always hoped my baby wouldnt have to go through this experience in life. Although she wont remember, shes only been 5 months on this earth and has had her first one.

My favorite local place for baby gifts! Her new location is in Griffin Farms and it’s awesome.
