The Polk Bookstore has a helpful crew of employees. They are well aware of the systems and college needs. In the bookstore itself, there are a number of nick nacks along with a few rows of books. It always remains relatively quiet. The only downside is the lack of in-store books for purchase. This is to be expected with its quaint size of course. Overall, excellent service and would recommend to any new college student at Polk. They genuinely care about helping you out.

I purchased a book that turns out I didnt even need. Never opened, book still in the plastic sealed cover with the receipt. They wouldnt buy the book back because it didnt benefit them. They told me to sell it on ebay/amazon. I hate this place. Customer service is garbage.

At the beginning of the semester, I needed to buy the online access code for a class. I followed my fast track online teachers directions and went into the book store 15 minutes before closing on a Friday. I was greeted by a young girl who was eager to help me with purchasing this code. Out of nowhere, we were interrupted by an older man. He started spouting out how the Pearson company doesnt sell to them and students need to buy the book online. He went into this whole spill how Pearson was going to start cutting out the middle man (the schools bookstore) and having student buy directly from them. He gave me a number to call so Pearsons Support could help me instead. I leave and call the number I was provided. The support agent informs me that they online sale that code at the local schools bookstore and directed me to go back in and purchase it. At this point, the bookstore was closed for the weekend and there was nothing I could do to get the code to do the required online assignments. Once Monday came around, I called the bookstore just to double check that they do not sell the code. To my surprise, the same loud mouth man who told me they did not sell it then told me I could only buy it from them. I was shaking with anger. It took everything in me to not tell this man off. Im still not sure as to why he told me one thing Friday and another thing Monday. When I confronted him over the phone about this, he beat around the bush and was quick to tell me hed save me the trip and just take my card over the phone. I dont know why he thought I would give him my debit card information after it was very obvious that I did not trust him with anything. Because of this older man and his miss-guided information, my grade took a hard hit in that class and Im lucky to have even passed this class after falling so far behind.

Kind people, great service, great school, great prices. Go and get your books kiddos

Had to pick up some books for my beautiful brideStudents were very helpful guiding me to the book store. The line was long but moved very quickly. The staff were very accommodating.

Some books are outrageously pricey even when they are rented as used. Tried price matching something that was a day ago sold and shipped by Amazon but then it was only fulfilled by amazon. Their prices are no worth it when there are plenty of competitors but I desperately needed said book I was buying.

Staff is only sometimes helpful, it seems like they always have new people who dont know much. There always seems to be something wrong with my order if I order online and sometimes they dont want to fix it. They also got rid of all the art supplies which makes it more difficult if youre taking an art class.

Horrible. Waited so long to get a t-shirt. They serve out of order. It’s ridiculous I had to talk to 3 different people to pick up a shirt.

The staff are nice people. However, I don’t like the management. I have to purchase a required textbook that was made by a teacher and there are so much mistakes in it. Not just the lock and the not- smart design of it, but also the wrong sources of an old version. My teacher Barbara Ross said to get it only because she thought it was cheaper from the other one. Otherwise, she would have told us t get the other one. Right now, she takes some copies from the other textbook and give it to us and this book is pointless. The students that work there are very nice and respectful. I always have an amazing fast but not rush experience!

The staff there are always friendly and the place has a lot of stuff, its where I purchased most of my books but they dont always have the cheapest option straight off the shelf.

They rent and sell books at a much higher price than they are worth. You can rent new books on Amazon for less than a fraction of the many prices they sell their books for. The fact that they say they will price match your book is all a lie. I bought a course box from here a few days ago and it had pages missing in it ... and it was new!!! But guess what you cannot get a new one or get a refund because you opened the product. They sell defective products here...stay away!!!

The hours of the bookstore could be better. For those of us students that work the bookstore hours are highly inconvenient.

Cavan, Kiera, Nikki, Haddy, Mckenah, Kaitlyn, and so many others work diligently to make your experience as smooth as possible.

More nature friendly campus and very friendly staff.

Most of the time it is decent, not too many people, the staff are nice, prices are a bit high. During the start of a new semester though, stay clear for a few days, the rush of people to buy books is chaos.
