Great company with great pricing. The people I have worked with have all been really helpful and nice, yet professional. We did have a small problem but it was taken care of immediately. Service reps try to be nice but service solutions are not prompt or effective because they are not locally based.Impossible to get personal service for my personal security.The above mentioned was quickly resolved after this post. A service tech was sent out right away!Thank you so much for rendering my issues. Extremely grateful for the many attempts at follow up to make sure I was taken care of as well! Great turnaround!

I have been very frustrated the past couple of times I have called. I will give them information over the phone, and then be asked to repeat the information several times and slowly. This seems to mostly be when I am talking to their call center. I spent at least 45 minutes yesterday just trying to update the contact information for our rental house.

We have been a customer for almost 20 years and mostly things went well till recently when I discovered our maintenance alarm was not even connected to the phone system. We had issues with our office alarm and called for a new quote. We signed the quote and awaited the repairs. They demanded that we sign a new contract before they would fix our alarm. The issue is we were perfectly happy with our month to month. Then they said that we had to sign a month to month contract to get our alarm fixed. Why is a contract needed for a month to month? Our alarm was broken for weeks and they would not resolve until we signed this contract. We signed it and sent it to them. They still took an entire week to come fix the alarm. Then I found out the maintenance alarm was not even connected, and I have no idea how long that was going on with the alarm. I just know that we were paying for something we did not have. There was no apology or resolve, so we cancelled that one. I still have my current office alarm and now I am having to send in the original signature month to month contract to them? I just do not understand why a scan does not work. My manager is not in the same office and I get her signature via scan not in person. I had to make a special trip just to appease this company and get an original signature. Im pretty sure we are cancelling soon due to the lack of customer service while our alarm was not working. Mostly we will be cancelling, because our alarm was broken for weeks. They would not fix it until we did what they wanted regardless of the fact that we were a current customer with a broken alarm. They did not care at all that our office was not secure, but they sure cared about that month to month signature on their contract. That is the kind of company you will be dealing with here. The guy who installed our alarm was great along with the service technician. The office manager took days to get back with me most of the time even though she knew our situation. She was friendly, but I would have liked a little more concern. She said there is nothing she can do and that this directive is from the top. Well I feel like the top needs to consider some different service for their customers. Mostly keeping their alarm working as a first priority.

Paid a fortune to have my alarm installed. I then moved and paid another fortune for someone to disconnect it and place it in a box. In between moves my house was left unprotected for a considerable amount of time. My alarm then stopped working and they told me I would have to pay for the cost of labor and parts to fix it. I told them I already paid for the set up and they explained an alarm was like a car, if you buy it and it breaks then you have to pay to get it fixed.The problem was with the cellular chip. The current cellular chip was outdated and would not send an alarm signal to the monitoring station. Customer service didnt understand how the alarm worked so I had to troubleshoot myself by reading alarm forums created by alarm technicians. According to the forums, this was a common problem with this type of alarm. Once I found this out I explained I would need a new cellular chip. Mountain alarm told me I would have to pay for this with the labor if I wanted my alarm to work.I cancelled my contract and purchased Simplisafe. I now pay 50% less and none of my hardware has failed. I also know my home is protected with reliable customer service and components.Im glad to see others that have had negative experiences with this company have left reviews. My experience was a few years ago but after reading the recent reviews I was compelled to share my experience and hopefully save someone a bunch of money and headache from dealing with this incompetent company.

Although no experience. I havent had to use thankfully. Was without service for 6 months, someone disconnected telephone wires and didnt tell anyone. No service for that length of time is serious & I have a Medical Alarm. Monitoring should have been tested or Monitoring should have notified Me or Co of no alarm condition.I went wireless,I am sure it will be better & CenturyLink can have lines. I had no phone service for over a week. I hope wireless is more effective as I was told.The repairman was sent, who was real nice-The Sales Person Ray & Wendy office contact went above & beyond to satisfy me.

Fraud CompanyI was a customer with Mountain Alarm for 15 years. I found out that my alarm was never even being monitored.. I had paid for monitoring service for 15 years and my alarm was Not Monitored..When I contacted Mountain Alarm they said that in the fine print of my contract it says I will be responsible for testing my own alarm monitoring every 30 days. Who tests their own monitoring every 30 days ? No one - Fraud.They then sent a technician(took two weeks) out to clear the error code and noise from the alarm that cost me $150. Then I get a $200. bill for an early cancellation fee.

Mountain Alarm took our premiums but did not monitor our system.Mountain Alarm, based in Colorado and Utah had been monitoring our burglar alarm system for the past 26 years. We faithfully paid our quarterly charges assuming they were monitoring system.In January of 2013 we discovered and Mountain Alarm (Ron Wolff) admitted, they had not been monitoring our system for at least a year and possibly since the advent of the 10 digit local telephone system. Admittedly, we should have tested the system but Mountain Alarm knew our dated system was one in which could not be monitored on their new equipment. They never notified us but kept on billing for their monitoring services. After we notified them, Ron Wolff, a sales associate with Mountain Alarm came out to the home and pitched a new system. The quote he gave us was not only higher than a competitor with the exact same equipment but included less features. Mountain Alarm, never offered nor when asked, to refund us ANY monies for charging us for a service they had not performed.Clearly, Mountain Alarm was not going to take any ownership of their wrong doing and continuing on with their questionable practices.I strongly urge you question why you would want to do business with this company.Gary

A HORRIBLY RUN COMPANY THAT HAS MERGED PAST COMPANIES LIKE UNITED SYSTEMS INTO MOUNTAIN ALARM- They do not have any good integration of systems, and the last 6 months have been HARASSED every Monday morning twice by their stupid ROBOCALL system. This after I have tried unsuccessfully to terminate my contract with them. I think it was finally handled today, but now this document has to be signed by 2 people in their company. So I still have no signed termination agreement.Reminds me a lot of COMCAST and one of the worst customer service companies in the entire world.Hopefully Good Bye and Good Riddance!!!!!
