Total waste of time. Horrible customer service. I arrived to my appointment to learn it would be an hour wait to see the dr due to a medical emergency. I understand that unforeseen things happen, but I don’t understand why I wasn’t given a heads up. I had to arrange childcare to get to this appointment so that was a waste too. When I called to give them my feedback and calmly explain the situation, the woman I talked to on the phone was dismissive and interrupted me when I was talking. She seemed to be blaming me for the inconvenience. She said they called me the day prior to get my insurance information which had nothing to do with today’s issues (never-mind I loaded my insurance info into the online portal). Visionworks staff are in the business of helping people—that is their job and it always makes me disheartened when someone would act this way towards another human being. I will not be returning.

Today was my second rescheduled eye appointment at this location. The first time, I did receive a call by Nicole that the new doctor seeing me hadnt obtained the credentials needed for my insurance plan and would have to set up a date for another doctor to see me. Unfortunately, I only had a Monday and that was the day the new doctor didnt have the credentials to see me. However, Nicole did say that if the new doctor was good to go by that time, I would be able to come in. By this time, I was receiving texts stating up to the day that my 3:00 appointment was confirmed and so I assumed I was good to go. Once I got there, I was told the doctor still had not met the requirements to see me. I was given no call all this time before my appointment. My job requires me to travel and changed my plans to accommodate this date. This is truly poor customer service and the associate tending to me simply said she must have spaced it out. Ifelt that that was a poor way to respond to this situation and was brushed in a way that made me feel overlooked and unvalued. Much more training is needed for this staff so that customers feel welcome into this store.

I have ordered glasses for my daughter twice now and told they would be ready in a couple weeks well both times now (8 months ago and 3 weeks ago)the orders got misplaced so no glassed were made! This time when I called to check on them an automated rep answered and there is no options to talk to a real person so I have togo to the storeif I want any info!#beyondangry!

They refuse to make sunglasses for me although they make them for others. My new glasses are impossible to read with. I travel across town to see about getting them remade only to find them closed during normal business hours. Today theyre still closed at 10 am even though they say they open at 9. No indication when they really do business

I usually dont write reviews unless a business seemingly makes things as difficult as possible, and that is the case here. I went to an eye exam a week and a half ago and was instantly berated for not filling out the online paperwork (even though I had been there multiple times and nothing from my paperwork had changed). Because of social distancing they were basically yelling it across the store; everyone could hear. I had an exam to try contacts for the first time; and they didnt have the right sample size, so they said they would order them and call me back. Ive had to continue calling, and when I asked them to just send me the prescription so I could go somewhere else, they said that it wasnt possible. We dont do email and they couldnt even tell me what my prescription is over the phone so I could avoid an unnecessary trip during a global pandemic. They had no problem taking my payment and billing my insurance though. I guess they know that I can only get the insurance discount for one exam per year. So yes, this business makes things unnecessarily difficult-- you must depend on them or completely start over somewhere else and eat the cost. The doctors are good, but their support staff and policies need some work. If you are looking for an optometrist, I recommend trying a less corporate place that is focused on taking care of people.

I dont typically post reviews but I feel compelled to report how painfully bad this place is.Heres what I did:1. Got an eye exam at the place2. Picked out several different frames I was interested in3. Talked to the sales guys about the several different frames I was interested in4. Selected one set of frames to order out of the several I was interested in5. Placed the order with the sales guy who I had been talking to for 30 minutes about the glasses I was interested in and who assured me that they would honor my promotional coupon, which was set to expire in a few days, when I came to pick my new glasses upHeres what I found out today, nearly two months since that day:1. The sales guys didnt even place the order despite going through all of the motions2. Ive been waiting two months for nothing3. This place is full of incompetent slugsDont go to Visionworks. Go anywhere else.

Waited for almost 30 minutes after appointment time. Never even got to see eye doctor. The staff didn’t seem to care much. When I said that it had been 20 minutes since my appointment was scheduled one lady rolled her eyes and shook her head. I ended up just leaving as I didn’t feel very welcome there.

I was running about 20 min all day. Walked in knowing I was late, I was expecting to reschedule... instead the Docwas like no come on back. So I had the quickest eye exam ever. All my questions answered and the young blonde lady helping me was super helpful Im sorry I dont remember her name.. but she was cool 😎 she helped me out with finding the best deal for my year supply of contacts. I was in and out with new contacts in less then 45 min. The team at this vision works is great. Thank you so much.

Dr. Green was one of my favorites I have had do an eye exam. Because of that I will definitely be back. However the girls up front are rude and short. Only nice one was the blonde. Everyone else made my feel rushed and not very welcomed. Asked my mom how her experience was in December and she said the same thing. The doctor was amazing. But the girls up front were rude and unwelcoming. They need to remember they are in customer service.

I went here to get a prescription so that I could order glasses online. I mentioned this on my paperwork and to just about everyone I encountered. They didn’t take measurements for glasses, including pupil distance or frame size; measurements you must have in order to order glasses online.The doctor and his assistant were really nice and professional and earned both of the stars on this review. I think it was Dr. Green and LaTasha. They were great!The older lady at the front of the store, who I’m pretty sure would be taking the needed measurements, was having some issues and being short with everyone. While waiting, I watched two separate parties enter the store, get questioned if they had an appointment, and leave without making an appointment. She avoided work, deferring to her two coworkers whenever possible, and seemed to be unfamiliar with the computer system.

Since moving to Colorado. I have only been to this location for any vision needs. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Always on time and ready to intake patients. During the COVID pandemic, they have a great cleaning system setup, and are being safe and awesome. definitely would recommend to anyone.

I did not even make it to my appointment because of how terrible the customer service is. They ask you to call with your insurance information but dont answer for 20 minutes then when someone finally answers it sounds like a bunch of high school girls having a grand ol time doing nothing. Oh but wait, after yelling hello into the phone on multiple occasions they put you back on hold. How you run a business i dont know.

Waaaaay over priced. I wouldve payed close to 600 with no protection to my glasses but I went to Americas Best and played 300 for the same type of glasses plus protection for both frames. Plus the staff was kind of rude I was late to my appointment for 5 minutes and they said we cant take u in anymore so I was like of fine Ill just look around to see if I like anything and they were being really awkward

My daughter had a 1:30 appointment for a basic eye exam for glasses and it took over an hour to be seen by a doctor. When we arrived we were caught off guard by paperwork that could have been emailed beforehand. Then they had us wait another 15 minutes to do the vision tests then wait again until the doctor was available. After the exam was done, it was another 10 minutes until they were ready for us to check out. We arrived right on time and it took an hour and a half until we could leave (just for the eye exam appointment!). We decided to hold off on buying glasses and go elsewhere.The staff was complaining about being short staffed with 4 people in the front and very few customers (no more than 4 at a time the entire time we were there). Some of the staff had a bad attitude - not pleasant or helpful. It was apparent through the phone interactions we saw as well as our experience in the store.The doctor was great, very friendly and provided the right level of detail, explaining everything to my daughter. I added a star for that. Otherwise, I wouldnt recommend this location unless you have a lot of time to kill.

I ordered contacts over the phone and i asked to have them mailed to my home. Fourteen days later and the contacts hadnt arrived. I called and the woman was so rude. She said, it can take up to 2 weeks. When i informed her that its been 2 weeks to the day she put me on hold. A different woman got on the phone and gave me a promise date. 1 week after the promise date, i called to inquire about my contacts. The lady wbo answered didnt even check. She just said, no they havent arrived. A few days later i called again and the lady who answered said she would check and call me back. She didnt call. So, its been about 2 weeks after the promise date and i realized i had a voice message from them. It said my contacts were in snd that i can pick them up only from 4-6pm. It was left on the promise date. So this whole time my contacts have been there and its just been a bunch of bs over the phone and not to mention i had originally asked to have them mailed to my home. This is the worst customer service i have received from any business in this area.

The sales person that helped me Victoria was so understanding and went out of her way to make sure I had a smooth process. I would recommend those three people to anyone. This location is TRASH and you cant get an answer from anyone when you have a real problem. Doctor Green is great and efficient. Overall staff is pretty nice(including the one rang me up Victoria), with the exception of the short haired female at the front. Had already verified I could use Tricare at that location and just had a question on what they needed to see. Female proceeded to bark at me and couldn’t even answer the question I had in the first place. Then she attempted to whisper to the doctor right outside the door, telling him to be careful because I have an attitude. Just childish and unnecessary. Will not use this location ever again.

I absolutely LOVE the people who work here, the doctors and the environment! With all of the COVID19 stuff going on these days, I was extremely apprehensive to go to my appointment (as I have had bad experiences in the past at other healthcare facilities) but this office was immaculate and every employee was constantly wiping things down and following social distancing protocols with every patient they encountered! I felt extremely comfortable and safe during my entire appointment!! I will without a doubt be coming back here for my next eye exam! Thank you to the Visionworks team!!!

The doctor is great. The staff is not. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Literally gave me the wrong contact prescription, and made me basically beg to get a new order for the right prescription. They ended up ordering me trials as they couldn’t replace they’re own mistake. I also had to continually check to see if my new order had been sent rather than taking the time to check in with me. Worst place ever won’t be doing any of my eye exams here again.

I broke my frames and was angry at myself for not getting a warranty, the frames were cheap but 50$ is still expensive, Nicole (The current GM) gave me a replacement frame for free. It took a little to get the lenses in because my prescription was insanely high and thick, but thankfully they got in and thats a little less I haveto spend on my vision. I also got my checkup there earlier last year and it was fast and efficient, nothing was wrong. The optometrist was knowledgeable. An overall great place to get checkups and your glasses.

I recently purchased two pairs of glasses from this establishment. Veronica was amazing at helping me choose the frames and take my order. One of the two pairs were lost when I went to pick them up. You’d think this might account for a lower rating from me but the manager Nicole immediately offered to reorder the glasses and gave me a discounted refund when I picked them up. I am thankful, for sure, and would not hesitate to return.

The women that work up front are great and very helpful. However, both optometrists I saw were not helpful with finding contacts that were comfortable for me. Because I wear makeup they were quick to judge why my contacts were uncomfortable.....which is interesting because I’ve been wearing makeup and contacts over half my life and haven’t had issues before coming to this location. Exploring other brands would have been great! Definitely won’t be back!

Randy helped us out right before Christmas and the New Year; We were scrambling to use our insurance to cover a pair of glasses before the year was up and Randy was amazing and very patient! We had to wait for our prescription to fax in and Randy was kind enough to wait with us. When it came through, Randy entered our info and priced our glasses super quickly! Average selection of frames..moderately priced.I found the front desk ladies to be pretty rude though. When I was picking out glasses, a lady came in to cancel her appt because she tried called but was put on hold for 30mins..the front staff basically said ‘that’s just how it is, you have to deal with being on hold’. Right...Came in to pick up my glasses the other day, the ladies at the front desk just stared as I walked in, didn’t even say hi. No staff, and the staff they do have is horrible.Glasses got made wrong no transition after specifically asking .The guy had no clue what he is doing. After paying 975 for glasses waiting 6 week for them and you cant get them fitted without a appointment. Make a appointment only have something 2 weeks out so here we are 8 weeks without glasses after spending so much money. Pros:-Hummm...can’t think of anyCons:-Even with an appointment, I always end up waiting 15+ minutes-Bland selection of frames-Difficult Situation: At my yearly check-up, the Optometrist wrote down my script wrong. When I decided I needed a back-up set of glasses (which I paid quite a bit of money for, and largely out-of-pocket), this was discovered. They told me I would have to return for another eye exam, reorder lenses and so forth. (Note: Single mom working night shift doesn’t make this easy).I second the other reviewer, who stated the defensiveness of the employees. When I stated the script was wrong, the employee acted as though I had done something wrong. I was not informed of their policy “grace period” to have the lenses switched. Unfortunately because they were just a back-up pair, and timing with my work their “grace period” ended, and I would have to pay all over again for new lenses.Honestly, this whole situation has just been costly and inconvenient. I will not be returning.

I took them a pair of sunglasses that were broken. The frames when I got them two years ago were special order and are no longer being produced. They took the lenses and found a pair of frames that fit and had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. If that isn’t great customer service and great work than I don’t know what is.

I came in to have my lens reattached to my frame because they fell off during my sleep. Before I went in to repair them with vision works, where I purchased them. I took a few photos of the glasses to show my parents. I took them in and was told that I could leave them in and come back to pick them up later, they would call me.After 5 DAYS I call back to check on the status of my glasses and after a longer than usual wait I was told they were ready and to pick them up. I walk in and the second they show me my glasses something was wrong. They were scratched. I explained that I would’ve remembered a scratch and they dismissed it and blamed it on me falling asleep with them, and because they don’t touch the lens directly during a band repair. I asked how much it would be to replace the lens and it would’ve been $60. I told them I would come back and left.When getting in my car I noticed the frames were not even I returned inside to have them readjusted. The whole time I’m seeing the technician touch my glasses with no gloves and she’s clicked my lens with her nails. She says it’s going to take a moment because of the lens not staying in place and to return later.During my wait I remembered that I took the pictures before taking them in, when you zoom in the already close up picture you can notice no scratches on the lens, because there were no scratches on the lens which I found to be a stroke of luck when I first discovered them damaged the day of, versus now you can and my vision is impaired because of it. I might as well not be wearing glasses.When I come back I ask to speak to a manager on duty and Nicole P. politely asks for my reason to visit and I tell her my situation and her expression transitions to that of defensiveness. I explained to her that it’s unfair to me to have to pay $60 for damages not committed by me, and when I offered to show her the pictures with the time stamp she dismissed me and told me she wouldn’t argue with me on the subject when I wasn’t arguing, I hate customers who argue. I was simple with my request in having my lens that was damaged during the time it was in custody with Visionworks to be replaced or repaired, but instead I had the conversation shut down and passive aggressively told there was nothing I could do and to effectively leave.I have called corporate and waiting for a reply back. I have expressed my simple request of having the damages inflicted by Visionworks repaired. If that’s not the case I will be seeing you in Small Claims Court to pay for the costs of the damages and all associated costs with securing a resolution to this situation.*DONT EVEN BOTHER TALKING TO NICOLE P.For anything because she will shut the conversation down at the moment she feels she can’t produce a logical answer besides “ it’s industry practice to not take responsibility for any damages incurred during repair.” How ever she FAILS to mention that or else I would’ve taken it to someone and paid for the repair to ensure no damage, if I had been aware of the “policy.” Beforehand instead of just being told about my warranty.

I can feel the employees disappointment walking in to this place. But in spite of that they still do their duty. Albeit with minimal enthusiasm or diligence. I got my first pair of glasses here. The woman who helped me was the sales supervisor. After 20 minutes of explaining polycarbonate vs HD lenses I was still confused because she kept telling me there are three levels of glare prevention that you can add. And after her third time of explaining that you can add three levels I thought there were three types of lenses and only one type could have glare reduction added to it. But finally I got a bit impatient and said I dont know what the hell youre saying. So we started over. 50 minutes go by and it is finally clarified that there are two types of lenses and you can get glare reduction on both. I think. Regardless, it was relatively close to closing so I think being understaffed, those were her words, attributed to her inability to explain things that day. But thats not the reason they get two stars. When I went to go get my glasses after waiting for 3 days, which by the way is not a very long time, I called them at 5 to confirm that my glasses were ready. I go into the store to pick them up and I was told that they were not anywhere to be found. So I emphatically said I called 20 minutes ago, literally, and was told that they were ready. So I had to wait another 25 minutes while these people looked around for my glasses. And it turns out that they were done. But for some reason they could not find them. This was an awful experience but I did get my glasses so at least they got that right.

I just ran into this store in Lakewood for hopefully a quick fix to my sons broken glasses situation, and I immediately felt the need to write this review. What a great, thankfully brief, experience it was. Nicole the manager very pleasantly greeted me right away and came up with a fast solution. Not only was everyone very helpful and extremely kind... Nicole was able to find the exact frame that was broken, in stock, and switch out the frames in literally a matter of minutes! I will definitely let other people know of my great experience and the great staff/management at this location and will happily return and continue to do business there myself.Thank you very much Nicole and Visionworks!!-Jake S

This Visionworks invented the concept of customer service. After a new prescription recommended by a different Visionworks optometrist from my standard long distance lenses to progressives, I absolutely hated my glasses and refused to fill the contacts. I thought I needed more time to adjust through struggling with vertigo and headaches. I made an appointment and got a new eval, new prescription, and new lenses for no cost. I was expecting to pay, but the new manager waived the costs. I will definitely return to this specific Visionworks in the future and for the rest of my family. They even apologized for a nominal wait. Great staff, great service, great products! Thank you for bringing customer service to the forefront of your business!

I and my husband made glasses in this company in Lakewood and South-West plaza several times and always got very attantive service and good discount. If something happened with the frames, they always repare them infront of you and its very convenient. I very recomend this company.

My mother had an eye appointment schedule the day day after the snow storm. Yes we were late but every customer counts and when I called to say we are running a few mins late I was told come in there are people who are there early for their eye appointments ok so we arrived and I couldn’t believed how non caring the woman who greeted us was and didn’t even try to convince us that we should reschedule or any other ideas but instead said she had been there for seven years I think you should have someone who cares about the customers and I will go out of my way to tell others not to come to this location they are rude and non caring at all.
