Best Diner in Ocean County maybe even all of NJ! Amazing food, great service, kind owner. I have lunch here twice a week and have been coming since it opened. I’d recommend it to just about anyone!

The worst in Ocean County. Let me start with the so called French fries...they look n taste like they have been refried 10x. Worst burger ever had. The tuna melt was so watery, it soaked rgt threw the bread. Nj diners su**, for a diner state. What has happened to this state?

Went here for the first time a really enjoyed. It doesnt look like a typical diner from the outside. Inside is quaint and a nice surprise. Service was great, our waitress offered to reheat our coffee which was a first! I had a French dip with fries, it came with coleslaw and pickle slices. French dip was tasty, I would order it again. I would go back.

My girlfriend and I walked in said it would be twenty minutes. A family of four walks in after us and seated immediately. It was because they only had a four top table available. After twenty minutes of waiting we were seated at a FOUR TOP TABLE.

Went here for it was close to our hotel. My God the food was good! I had the gyro and wife had chicken marsala. Onions rings might be the best Ive ever had. Kid friendly. Service was friendly and quick. I usually do not write reviews but this place earned it. Sucks Ill only get to eat there once as we are leaving town.

Cant comment on the food or even the coffee. Seated, waited 10 minutes for service then left. Maybe 5 other tables had people at them. 10:30 on a Thursday morning. Said goodbye to the waitress watching tv on the way out.

Feel like this over stretched blurry photo made on printer running out of ink sums things up. My wife didnt bother past the first bite of what was supposed to be biscuits and gravy. Coffee already tasted burnt at 8:30am. Eggs and hash were fine.

A hometown favorite. Located at the border of Toms River and Lakewood Cross Mill Diner never disappoints. The owner John is a super nice guy and is always there to greet customers. Unfortunately we are only allowed to do take out but we cant wait until we can dine in again !

Very nice diner with great service. I have had breakfast there a few times with my parents who are regulars. They seem to have a great connection to the local community and a genuine connection to its customers. In todays fast paced digital world that was very nice to see. Not to mention my breakfast was nicely done and was a perfect portion. I had a spinach and feta egg white omelet, home fries, and wheat toast. The food was fresh, fast and hot with great service and good coffee.

This is an inexpensive and unpretentious diner. It has become our Go to place for Sunday brunch. The food is very tasty, the portions are generous, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen is fast and accurate. And while this may seem like a small thing, they make their own cole slaw. It is perfectly crisp and dry. They even let you get a double serving of slaw instead of the fries.

We enjoyed two visits to Cross Mill Diner when in town for a family wedding. The staff and food were wonderful. The owner showed great kindness and caring. From the top down, its easy to see why this place is so well loved.

I had the pleasure to enjoy Thanksgiving breakfast, yesterday with my son and home health aide. Upon leaving the mostly empty eatery, I heard some discontent, being open on the day for so few. I want to make sure management is aware that; you provided Great food, allowed me the company of my son, too rare, and allowed me the knowledge of a great b-fast place! So, so happy Jackson Diner was closed! To our waitress, thanks for taking time to please us. You will be appreciated much more in the future. Unbelievably last Sunday was the first time I visit this diner though I’ve lived in the area for most of my life! It’s a nice little diner with friendly staff and good food. Would definitely return!

Quick, friendly service, my only meals there have been breakfast. Endless coffee, good bacon, never tastes like its yesterdays leftovers, price cant be beat. Im not sure, but I think its the owner always towards the front to greet customers. A real home-turf place to go, feel welcomed and leave, feeling appreciated.

Good, hot food, visited at lunch time. Was crowded but food was good and hot. Plenty of specials on a chalkboard plus a large selection in a regular menu. John the owner, and waitresses were friendly but going crazy trying to keep up. They were handling a setup with 24 people and the regular dining areas.

If you want a great selection of traditional diner food youll find it here. Good prices. Regular crowd here for breakfast. The interior is a little dark.

Great service, John is very nice and polite to everyone as soon as you walk in. Their pancakes are amazing better than all the other places including IHOP. You have to try the onion soup!! You get your food very fast less than 18 minutes waiting

A pretty good omelet and the coffee wasnt bad either. Id go back when Im in the area. They have chipped beef and biscuits Id like to try.

Food is amazing and priced well, staff is super friendly and they have a table ready for us when we call ahead for lunch. Owner is really nice and now they serve scrapple. A hidden gem in lakewood. Inside is very cozy too.
