I found this place by accident while driving down the road. I had been wanting to start learning about music for a long time, but continuously made excuses. I stopped here and looked around for a few minutes. My first time I did not purchase anything, though the staff did not care they were happy to talk with me about my ambitions. My second visit was made with an intent to get the equipment I needed to start my musical adventure. They had everything I needed to get started within a reasonable price range. The employee working that day had a good knowledge base of all the items to help me, even though he was not trying to achieve the same thing as me. I really appreciate this place.

Can not say enough good things about this place! the staff are amazing especially Tanner . The vibe is way better than say a guitar center. this is what a music store should be.

I originally went to a different guitar store and ended up walking out. I decided on a whim to go to this store and I ended up walking out with a guitar that is suited for me. The guys there were super helpful and gave me pointers on which ones are good for beginners and why. They were extremely patient with me pondering on which one I wanted to choose (originally had a Dean in mind but went with Fender.) The guitar choosed me I guess. I will be going back again. Highly reccomend here over the big shot stores. Give these guys a try.

Nice place to buy quality instruments

A couple weeks ago, I had a dire need for an instrument, and Tymmothy and Missy came through for me in a pinch. They creatively arranged to fulfill the need, and I will forever be thankful for their willingness to help me out. Ive purchased from this store a few times before, but I will make sure that I direct more of my business to the fine folks at this store! Excellent customer service!

I love Music and Arts! I take weekly lessons in the guitar, and the staff has always been very nice and very helpful. They provide a safe and educational environment for students to learn. When I first started taking lessons, I had never picked up a guitar before. Music and Arts has helped me find a new love for music and learning about music. I would definitely recommend going to Music and Arts for lessons.

Came in without knowing anything about instruments. Richard G, one of the experts, jumped in and saved the day. He was very friendly, and informative. He played a few chords to help us figure out what instrument we wanted. All in all, theyre amazing!

The newly transferred gentleman, Cody, I believe, was VERY helpful. He has helped me purchased a case and even restrung my sons violin for me. He had great advice and always friendly. I will continue to come here as I appreciate his helpfulness.

Decent assortment of instruments for sale and rent in store. They also have a decent spread of sheet music. They can order anything you want and the staff are always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They host lessons for a variety of instruments as well.

Kevin J was my salesman. He was very knowledgeable and showed me exactly what I was looking for and then some. Great service and cost.

The owner and Retail/Sales Managers are all very friendly, I go there regularly before work to let go of some stress. They do need to try to get more variety in their store, but way better than Guitar Center, in customer service and in prices. If youre going to shop for electric guitars more leaning towards rock/metal though, I do recommend Guitar Center. Overall my favorite store in Lakewood!

Great place with great instrument deals and my favorite electric piano the Yamaha DGX 660

The staff is friendly and helpful. The piano instructor, Sterling Picard, is wonderful! He makes learning joyful and fun. My teenager enjoys going to lessons.

Sep 15, 2018Today I shopped at the Music&Arts in Lakewood and a man called Tymmothy Holland helped me. I cant say enough about this guy; his greeting felt like he was waiting for me with my order, he was very knowledgeable, extremely musically inclined, patient with all my questions, even though the store was busy I felt as if I was very important to him, he was great with my kids, he saw I was a struggling father and informed me of discounts -on the things I wanted- that I wasnt aware of, he went well beyond selling the products - he sold himself, the right way, with kindness, fairness, attention to detail, patience, and most of all the kind of customer service that you rarely see anymore. The kind that I give at my jobs. The kind that was a great example for my children. The kind that should Not be overlooked or taken for granted. If I ever buy music related products, they will be from Tymmothy Holland at the Music and Arts store in the Lakewood Towne Center. Ted Brown costs more anyway.

I enjoyed my visit here. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable.

I finally got tired of being snubbed by the jerks at GC and started going to Music Center in lakewood and I now make this my first stop when buying musical supplies. The owner is truly passionate about music and it shows. I can come in here pick up the stuff I need at a better price than GC and actually have a conversation with the staff instead of feeling like I am at a used car lot. They help you find the right instruments and supplies for your needs and dont just try to sell you the most expensive items they have. This store is smaller than some other major music stores but I have never had a problem finding exactly what I was looking for and I have literally never paid the sticker price. I wish all stores were run like this one is and I will not be going anywhere else anytime soon.

They lie about repair times, district manager said it was ready but it wasnt. 3 trips in a week and i still dont have my instrument back, horrible loaners
