The worst ups store! They run things backwards compared to other ups stores. They have the rudest most incompetent employees I have ever seen there. I guess they get it from the owner of that franchised location who is even more rude and ignorant then the employees he has hired. I have had numerous bad experiences there from customer service at this specific ups store in Lakewood, oh. I would recommend going to a different shipper like FedEx or the US post office, because it is not worth dealing with this horrible location, which makes the UPS brand look bad due to their actions at this specific location!
New frontiers of poor service. For the last three packages I’ve brought in for packing and shipment, they give me the run around about how and why they can’t complete the task. They tell me to go buy boxes elsewhere and pack them and then bring them back. Today, the poor underpaid employee at the counter was the only person scheduled for the entire day and said she wouldn’t even be able to pack my item until tomorrow.So, so next level awful - avoid like the plague
Get a receipt for every single Amazon return! My Amazon returns constantly go missing from this location. Its happened so many times now, there is no way its a coincidence. This has never happened to me at the Amazon drop-off downtown, only here.
Website and sign on door states that the store is open. Upon arrival the store was closed with no sign indicating why and offering no apology.
Very efficient helpful cordial knowledgeable you don’t have to wait it’s just the excellent service I have been using for years all I can say it’s a wonderful place to bring your packages and to deal with a staff

Don’t waste your time going here the lady that attended me was so rude and disrespectful. I scheduled an appointment for today 3/16/2021 for 11:00 am to see a notary so I can sign a sworn statement and she was just so rude about not helping me because the letter was in Spanish she didn’t even realize that it was in Spanish and English. Didn’t get her name but she was the only one there today, she’s caucasian and big in size . If you work in costumer service be polite !.

Terrible service. Very rude employee. You are a for profit company. If I come in with multiple packages and one is USPS maybe don’t immediately jump down my throat about how you will not assume responsibility for that one package. I would have still mailed the others through UPS but will avoid this location from now on.
My holiday package got lost, destroyed they said. Never was able to recoup the money spent on it, nor the sentimental value. The recipient had nothing to open for the holidays. Not sure how packages randomly get destroyed in transit.

Rude staff! I came into store carrying a ton of packages that started falling out of my arms to be yelled at to go back outside. Watch your tone and maybe try “ you can leave your packages there, but please step outside until someone leaves”. Just because there are new rules doesn’t mean you should take away kindness and empathy. Never stepping in here again!
Great service at this location! They really went above and beyond to help me when I needed some photos cut down to size and documents notarized. Will definitely recommend this location to anyone who has office or shipping needs.
This franchise most definitely has a new and positive attitude, in addition to a new owner. I walked in and was immediately greeted in a friendly manner and was promptly asked “How can I help you?” Both Jeremy and Andrew were kind and considerate enough to walk me through my shipping experience. I will most certainly do business with the store when the need arises. Thanks for all you do and folks don’t take out your UPS frustrations on this small team. This is a privately owned franchise store.

Very professional and polite employees made a needed shipment a breeze. The gentleman was courteously focused on my getting packaging and computer/printer use in such an expedient manner my bad knee didn’t have a chance to argue about my standing at the kiosk. Oh, and ample parking is a bonus because handicap spots are few and not close to the door.
After the UPS website crashed on me twice when I went to submit a large order, I phoned Andrew at the Lakewood UPS and he immediately began solving a large printing job problem for me. He was efficient, organized, responded quickly with email updates, and delivered 11 separate jobs totaling over 15,000 copies with precision and speed. I will not be using any other copy service again, thanks again.
This franchise has changed ownership and its definitely for the better. Friendly staff and prompt, courteous service. I couldnt have been happier with my experience. Please dont judge this new team based on experiences with the prior owners
New ownership recently at this franchise location. Ive had a box there for 10 years and almost always received great service. UPS address is inexpensive package insurance in December, and they notify of mail and packages by email and text.
Never had any problems - every experience has been friendly with a quick turnaround! And Im thrilled that they are now an Amazon return location! The location is convenient, plenty of parking, and easy access.
Beyond frustrated with this location. Im not going to drag on about the details but several months ago a mailed a simple hand written letter out of the country for roughly $25. I come in yesterday to mail another one and they are trying to charge me $86. Not okay. Obviously I dont have the itemized receipt for a letter that was delivered back in April but I do have the bank statement showing what I was charged. Its infuriating when employees whove been there for 4 years claim what Im saying isnt true. Awesome way to retain customers and way to let down both of my children who wanted to mail their letters to their pen pal.
Always knowledgeable when i come in, but always left disappointed in the interaction with a particular employee.
I used this location to deliver a very expensive pair of running shoes to Texas. I received a call from the recipient stating they had not received the shoes (5 days later). Long story short, because I was stupid enough to trust the idiot sales guy to tape the package since I did not have tape, either he or someone at this facility STOLE my shoes. It never left the facilty. UPS corporate where complete dill weeds and basically told me I had to try and find out what the store did with my package. THIS is one of the MANY reasons I normally do not use UPS and always ship with FEDEX. This company doesnt have the common decency to try and help me nor take the financial responsibility to pay me back for my shoes their staff STOLE. The store manager stated it never made it on the truck - we have searched everywhere and cannot find it.The manager then promised to call me back later that day to confirm it hadnt been lost by the driver in case it had made it on, however he still hasnt called me.Therefore whomever wrote the response below to my review needs to check their facts.
Horrible. I dont think Ill ever order using UPS again. I live in an apartment, the first notice was left on my mailbox, saying I was not available and they would try again on the next business day. I left a note on my mailbox asking them to please come to my door next time (because obviously Im not gonna be standing by my mailbox). I had surgery on my eye, and never left the house. 2 more notices were left on my door, no knocks or anything. Monday morning (two days after receiving the last notice) I drove up to the UPS store and was told they were already sent back to the sender, even though the notice said I had seven days to pick my packages up. The workers at the store were very nice and helpful and gave me a number to call. I called and left my complaint and when I received a call back the man was very rude saying how the ups guy had been doing this for over ten years and never had a complaint and wouldnt want to hold onto my package any longer than he had to, he was no help at all and made the situation worse. I ended up having to call the place I ordered from since they were already being sent back, and reorder sending them to my mothers address so this doesnt happen again. Now I have 140 extra dollars taken out of my account until they can refund my money in ten days. I wont be getting deliveries In This area again, if I must use UPS I will have it delivered to a friend or familys house. Oh and I payed for 1-3 buisness day shipping, and now will be waiting over 12 days!

Was shipping a big package to one of my cousins in Chicago, the manager and other employees made it so easy for me. They cut a few boxes apart and made a specialized box just for me! Theyre bright and very helpful.
Called this location looking for help finding UPS shipping supplies and was very rudely told this is a private franchise we dont do that and was hung up on. Will gladly drive out of my way to make sure this private franchise no longer receives any of my business. And from the looks of the other reviews, this seems like common practice here so not sure how this place is still in business.

Very rude staff, and franchise owner. They lost a very valuable item that I tried to ship from this location. I called corporate, which they explained it had never left this original location. My only thought is that a staff member stole it due to how much I claimed the item to be worth to insure it for shipping. Thank god I did that, though it nearly took 90 days to receive my insurance money. Best advice, never use this store!!! You have been warned!!!!
The handful of times weve used this place the customer service has been above and beyond expectations..the young guys really care. Would give them a 6 if I could.
After calling the UPS 1800 number and not being helped, I called this office for assistance in getting in touch with the shipping center and the answering party immediately interrupted me in a very condescending manner to tell me that he didnt know the answer to any shipping questions and that I would have to call the 1800 number. I attempted to tell him that the 1800 number was not able to provide assistance and he interrupted me again to tell me that I should call the 1800 number.I understand that customer service is stressful, and really do like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this response was amazingly rude, and I will prefer to deal with other companies whenever possible.
I used to ship here through my business all of the time but the lack of any customer service, willingness to do anything including handing you a tape gun without making a snide remark is unabrebale. I now just drive the extra 10 minutes Rocky River where the staff is helpful and somehow the packages ship for far less. I’m beginning to think the Lakewood store is looks for reasons to rob from its customers and overcharge for shipping. By my estimation, I have lost hundreds of dollars annually going here vs Rocky River, by assuming shipping is the same - it’s clearly not.Rocky River will do whatever they can to make sure you are getting the lowest shipping costs; including cutting boxes down which you are in the store. Lakewood can’t be bothered with going the extra step for anything. Avoid.

Had a very fragile piece of hand made furniture sent from this store for extremely high price - Item was NOT properly packed and package did not include the standard Heavy Item or Fragile indicators - Needless to say, the item was nearly destroyed in the shipping.When attempting to place a claim, the staff was not helpful and when given specific requests for information, received incorrect information and rude responses.Based on previous reviews, DO NOT USE THIS STORE.

I will pay you with a credit cardI spoke with two ladies earlier to request they pick up this package 3 blocks away and I would pay them. They said they cant the employees at this store are high school students and they cant fair enugh, its an unusual request.I have the ups store 12 miles away in rocky heights taking care of my business for me. This franchise has not changed ownership. It is the same rude idiot. I have contacted corporate. This is a terrible store with awful customer service. I will never use UPS again in fear of coming in contact with another franchise owner like this! This man is a crook.

This store refused my package with no sorry. After I complained about it, they just refused all of my packages. Never using their mail box service. Very rude. The man called Neil was very rude and I have never been treated by a man like him before.
