Carl serviced my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Brakes seemed out of round, rumbling when slowing down or coming to a stop. Informed me, even with this problem, that I had a lot of wear remaining on my brakes and rotors. Shaved the rotors, brakes now work fine. He is a very honest mechanic, very fair on the cost. WARNING this is how CARL treats FRONTLINE WORKERS WHO HAVE BEEN HIS CUSTOMER FOR 10 YRS PLUS!!!!If you want to be ripped off this is the place for you! Carl is a liar and a cheat! ( he will quote you one price then charge you another) He charged a frontline worker over 110% of what a gas cap costs (Carquest price $13.99/ Carls price $31.73), 200% for new rotors( Carquest price $73.99 X 2 = 147 .98/ Carls price 149 .18 for each front rotor = $298.36 for both) and 150% for new brake pad kit( Carquest price $57.99/ Carls price $133.63)charged $500 for parts that cost $251.61 (total)according to carquest the auto parts service Carl utilizes!For my brothers and sisters who dont know, just like I didnt, Carquest is the autoparts service Carl utilizes for his automotive needs.Now if you do decide to use carl as your mechanic, I emphatically stress (PRIOR TO PAYMENT) identifying the item numbers on your receipt then go on the Carquest site to verify this man is not cheating you!(BECAUSE HE WILL!!!!)Do it in front of him that way you can see the look on his face when he tries to manipulate you!Thank You for Cheating a loyal and long time client Carl (10 yrs plus) a client who trusted and valued the services you provide. Been a customer of Carls since I came here to this valley. I keep going threw mechanics who either never responded to my calls or were either very over priced or were causing me issue after issue. Then I was finally referred to Carls automotive. And I have never had to seek better help any where else. I have that Mechanic that you could entrust your worries to and he takes great care with honesty and always lets you know what you would need to prioritize and what can wait for service. And if nothing needs done then it is that simple. Works with us on all our vehicle issues. No job is to big or to small. And if he does not do it he will tell you. Since about 2005. My step father and half brother were both mechanics and both passed and Carl gave that feeling of comfort back to me. I feel very confident with all my vehicles and when buying a vehicle that I have the right guy to support me is my purchases.

I was wary of going to a mechanic, being a Female and not knowing much about automotive repair, I had a fear of being taken advantage of. I contacted Carl told Him what my issues were with My Van, and He told Me to come on on in. As soon as I walked into his shop, I immediately felt at ease. I could tell that Carl and His Mechanic Staff were honest and knew what they were doing. Carl told Me what needed to be done now, what could wait until I could afford to come back, there was never any pressure to fix what wasnt necessary. Carls Automotive has become my go to place for almost everything automotive.Carl is one of the few I know that does an excellent job, usually on time, always aspromised and done well. Theyre fast, honest, and friendly.

I referred my brother-in-law to Avenue Yucca based on reviews, Im upset I did. He needed an alternator changed on Ford Escape, which is a more difficult repair than normal, quote was $1000. Carl said alternator would cost at least $345 and labor was rest. I asked if it would be Motorcraft brand because that was the price from Ford, he said yes. Brother-in-law picked up car, I checked the replacement alternator, it turned out to be a new Carquest brand alternator which retails around 165. Not a Motorcraft one and he charged more than double the cost of the alternator. To top it off, bolt/nut for ball joint was barely hand-tightened, and tie rod nut was missing cotter pin, to me that was dangerous as hell. Supposedly the transfer case assembly was removed as part of labor cost, it looked untouched. Go somewhere else please. Your life may depend on it!

Im normally not one to provide reviews but the telephone customer service here was unnecessarily rude especially with a customer whom was only politely inquiring about services. My inquiry did not warrant a rude response nor the phone being hung up on me. My suggestions are if your voice is not of a specific dialect then see services else where.

We have relied on Carl at Avenue Yucca Car Care for YEARS! For two main reasons: 1). Total honesty about what is Needed and what is not wrong, 2) quality work, and he backs up his repairs.

Ive been going to Carls for a few years now. Always a pleasant experience. Carl is very friendly and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explains the ins and outs of your repairs, has never recommended repairs that werent needed, and keeps his prices fair. I will continue using Carls for my vehicle maintenence for these reasons and because I dont feel ripped off like I have at other mechanics in the past.

I had an electrical problem that 2 shops could not find or fix. Carls guy was able to find and repair the problem in 1 day. I wish I had found this place first before wasted money and time at other shops

Let me start off with the short version. He didnt fix the car properly at all, he didnt really want to fix the car, and he over charged us hundreds of dollars, and made us wait 6 days for a 60 dollar carburator. And CARL is not a good man for allowing all that to happen.I only left my car at a mechanic because I was too sick to finish it, so while the whole time he assumed I was some dumb kid he was taking advantage of, I could see what was going on the whole timeWhen we got there, his first statement was how much he hates working on our type of car and that is boss makes him. Thats not reassuring, and a professional shouldnt start of with how bad of a job hes gonna do, but what ever.Then the hustle begins. Asking how much I paid for the car how long Ive been working on cars, basically testing me as a customer. He then takes a few days to tell me and my mom we need a new carb, itll be 400 bucks, and take a week to get thereWHAT A LIAR. You can buy a mid-to-high tier Street carburetor from Jegs for $150 and have it delivered in 3 days. So besides putting the carb on, he didnt do anything we asked.*FUEL LINES LEAK WHEN PARKED AT AN ANGLE*DID NOT PUT BACK ON MULTIPLE PARTS WE PAID HIM TO*CAR RUNS, BUT BARELYAvoid this pathetic, fat man like the plague he is. I might just have to discuss this face to face one of these days it was so bad

Called and the guy on the phone wouldnt give me a quote unless he saw my vehicle. When every other auto shop here in Lancaster was able to quote be. Bad phone service and kinda sketched
