Meineke employees are honest and professional in every way. I took my truck in for inspection and Rich listed in detail all the work that was necessary. I was very satisfied with entire procedure.

This is the most affordable place to get your car fixed, state inspection and emissions, oil change, basically everything. The staff is friendly and welcoming and their service is top tier. Plus they have a nice waiting area with refreshments and coffee too. I’d highly recommend you to take your care here.
They were able to diagnose and fix my AC compressor in the same day. Most other car repair places were backed up for hours or weeks. Customer service was great, they called several times to let me know what was happening. They gave me a discount also. I am happy with the service. Thank you.

Wow! What a bad experience! Went for an A/C check they advertised being free but as soon as you mention it, theyre already charging you for things they say its mandatory to do. My A/C still isnt working, its actually WORSE and just hot air comes out now. I brought it back and they never called me back. When I call because theyre about to close, they say its something else and they didnt even work on it cause it takes too long and forgot to call me. I am never bringing my car back to these con-artists.

Came in for an alignment, new tires and inspection. Estimated 3 hours. 2:45 later they only did the inspection and almost completed the tire install and still estimated an hour for the alignment. Estimates should be reviewed for accuracy.
DONT GO. They lied about things for my inspection and sent me fake photos of my car!! I took it somewhere else and they said everything was good and they were lying. I only took it someone to double check after they told me it would be over a thousand dollars and seeing the reviews about how they lie on the inspection. Right away he asked me for my number to “send photos of what’s wrong”. He automatically assumed something was wrong when it was a regular inspection.
Brian and his team went above and beyond with their outstanding customer service. I needed same-day service for my truck and they were able to accommodate me for the work. They also gave me detailed documentation of things that need fixed and why. The communication I received during and after service was also professional and treated me with the decency and courtesy that many other places lack. I highly recommend them to everyone.

We have been using this business for 20 years. They have been going down hill for a few years. It seems they cannot keep employees. This visit was the absolute worst! My car was to be finished on Friday. It wasnt so it was promised by 10 am Saturday. It wasnt! In fact it was only finished at 1:30 pm on Saturday. Being a Holiday weekend I was already at a family event. I was able to finally get my car on Monday. Last year alone I spent in excess of $4000.00. They would not allow me to pick up my car and come Monday ND pay my bill. There is no value or benefit to being a loyal customer!

I took my car in because the gear shift would not go into park. I knew it was something with the cable needing adjusted and tighten. I was told I needed a new steering column for $738. I took it to another garage and was told it was exactly what I said it was and they fixed for $80. Now Im wondering if the $1600 I paid for parts for my inspection where actually needed. Very disappointed with this visit, I had good experiences prior to this.
I went for a car inspection. Didn’t pass because they show me what needed to pass. So I’m taking care it to fix it myself to save money. I hope after I’m done fixing, will pass.
I took my car in for a state inspection and they quoted me $2200 to pass inspection for parts that I really didnt need. They failed me, and I had to look elsewhere. I got a second opinion at another shop, and had THREE mechanics look at my car, and they all said my car didnt need ANY of the parts I was told I NEEDED to have to pass inspection. So instead of $2200 I paid $20. They clearly were scamming me because Im a young woman and they think I dont know any better. I would not recommend, especially for young women.
I have been going to this Meineke center for years and have always been impressed. They go out of their way to make sure everything with the vehicles are up-to-spec and have always treated both me and my wife with courtesy and respect. I recommend their service to any and all who ask.
I would have otherwise given Meineke Car Care center of Lancaster 3-4 star review because from the start they were kind, professional and took time to explain things to me. However, after my inspection, which then I was quoted a large sum of money for parts to be fixed that would be fixed cheaper elsewhere I decided to pay my fee for what was done and move on. When I was leaving to pick up my car was when the real issue happened.The one worker came out to explain where everything like paper work and my keys were and then mentioned that I had a beer can in my driver door that needed to be cleared out and began to lecture me about how they know its Memorial day weekend but its not in good taste and dangerous etc. I was appalled. For one I do not drink beer and for two would never do anything as reckless as drink and drive when I have had friends that passed away from drunk drivers on the road. As I began to protest to this man that there was no can in my car and showed him all of my car he then began to look at the other cars around me and found the car that did have the beer can in its door. The worker did not apologize for the confusion or say one word about the misunderstanding. I hope for future situations like this one they know how to approach their customers more appropriately and have their facts straight.
This Meineke has been my mechanic for 3 years and they have been always honest. They helped me when I had an issue with my heat shield.
The workers are beyond kind. took my car there on the 29th and needed a lot of work done. they gave me their professional opinion and advice on what to do. khan went out of his way to help me and talked me through everything so i could understand. the team there alone deserves 5/5 stars. i recommend for anyone looking for a good mechanic.
Wasn’t made adware when I called to check the price of the alignment that the $20 off coupon was included so I had to pay more than I thought after I got there. Other than that my wheels are straight and i didn’t have to wait long.
I went to the Lancaster Meineke more than once for oil changes because of the good prices. My car had been making this awful squealing noise, so I decided to get it checked out at the Lancaster Meineke. I suspected it was the belt from the start, but they said it wasnt the belt and that I had to get an entire part of my car fixed, along with multiple other issues. Over $1300 later, my car was STILL making the squealing noise and the issue was not fixed. I took it back and they said they realized theres actually another issue and thats going to cost an additional $1000, which would lead me to a grand total of $2300 for this issue.I was infuriated at this point because I KNEW I was being schemed, so I told them that I was going to get it checked out by the trusted car shop in NJ that my family has gone to all my life. When I took the car to the shop in NJ, they said it was a belt issue all along (just like I suspected), and that the $1300 Meineke had me spend on replacing an entire part was COMPLETELY UNECESSARY, and that the extra $1000 for the other issue they claimed was there was also unnecessary.Guess how much it cost to fix the actual problem that Meineke wanted me to pay $2300 for? It only costs $100 because it was a belt issue all along (again, like I suspected)! Me, a girl with little knowledge on cars, figured that out from the start, but the guys at Meineke couldnt? No, I was completely schemed, probably because they realized I was a young girl with little knowledge on car repairs. The only reason Im even giving them one star is because their oil change prices are good, but if you need any legitimate repairs, BE CAREFUL because they take advantage and try to pump money out of you like theres no tomorrow. Youre better off going elsewhere with trustworthy people.

Meineke has great staff working there. The most recent time I was there they performed an overall systems check and inspection. I wanted to sell my vehicle and needed to know exactly what issues it had so I could post it online and accurately describe its condition. They were extremely helpful.

Scott (Lancaster, PA) has always done a wonderful job of explaining what they are going to fix and why. He is always professional. I have seen him take the same care with other customers as he does with us. We have several cars that have required service over the years and he has always taken good care of us and our cars. We will always go to Scott and Meineke for our automotive needs. I cant imagine dealing with anyone but him! I HIGHLY recommend the Lancaster location if you are in the area!!!

Great service. Paid More than I expected considering I brought it in for an oil change.But they gave my 15 year old car a complete safety check and it needed suspension work and alignment. Id use them again.
Amazing shop! I wish I could give more stars. I was able to get my car in for an inspection on a Saturday afternoon, which is unheard of unless you call in weeks prior at most service shops. Their online booking option makes everything smooth and really convenient. I booked my inspection two days out, and received confirmation that my scheduling was a success. My car almost didnt pass inspection because of my marker lights. The service techs repaired it and threw in the marker lights for free. This restored my faith in humanity and I dont think theyll ever realize how appreciative I am from this one act of kindness. I was able to go to the gym, and do some grocery shopping in the time it took them to inspect my vehicle. Meineke also provides a detailed report (via email) detailing who inspected your car, and what parts need immediate attention, what needs future attention, and what is perfectly functional. I have never received that at any dealership service center Ive gotten repairs/inspections at. I will definitely go back for any service I may need- inspection or repair.
If you want to be stuck on the side of the road the next day take your vehicle to them promise!!!! Big waste of ur time!!!

Place is horrible told me my brake had a crack in it, also $2,000 worth of damage, took it somewhere else nothing was wrong with my brakes, cost me $300 they just lied to me to try to make me spend all this money for no reason! Do not trust them!

Dropped car off at 1000am was told and alignment would take an hour and a half. Recieved a phone call that we needed tires on the front wheels, told him we really just needed the alignment right now, and of course he talked us in to the tires which we did need, just bad timing. Was told my car would be ready 4 430 which was ok because of the tires now. Got there at 430 and was told unapologetically that my car didnt even get the alignment yet and it was gonna be another 40. Waited a half hour walked around back and my car was still sitting. Very slow, service, and nate needs better customer service skills.
Good deal on an oil change. Obvious that they looked over the van because they showed me pictures of areas that I should to be aware of, but not pushy at all about having to get everything done immediately.
The staff are great, but that boss was not cool at all. The staff called me an said they wouldnt charge me for inspection because they automatically saw problem. Great staff. But the boss is straight rude, has a mean attitude and demeanor. I wouldnt even go back if they offered me a free inspection. Yet again. The staff are wonderful people. The boss needs a change of heart and learn how to at least put on a fake face for customers.

This was my first time coming here to Meineke, and it will probably be my last. I came here on Saturday for my car inspection. I appreciate that they send a very detailed report of the inspection. My car is in pretty good working condition, so I was surprised to hear that it did fail inspection through them for a number of reasons, one of which included some nicks on my windshield. I did have them perform the needed services to pass the car, which included getting a new windshield put in. I spoke to Khan and was originally told that my car would be ready to pick up on Tuesday. I spoke to Khan two times that Tuesday before coming to Meineke to pick up my car, but upon my arrival, he told me that the replacement windshield was bad and they ordered a new one, so it wasnt actually ready for pick-up until Wednesday. It was wrong of him not to tell me that on the phone so I would not have to come in and make an extra trip, but I believe he did that because I was bringing the money for the replacement windshield, which was to be given to a different company that was doing the windshield repair. Another thing that upset me was the free loaner car I was given- I appreciate that it was free of charge, but it had some nicks on the windshield as well, which is one of the reasons my own car failed their inspection! The loaner car also had trouble starting up each time, which made me nervous. In the end, I did get my car back on Wednesday, and they did do a good job with all the parts they fixed or replaced, whcih is why Im giving them 3 stars. However, I will probably not come back here again- it was too stressful dealing with them.Pros:-Provided a detailed report of the inspection, including what looks good and what needs to be fixed-Provided a loaner car for freeCons:-Did not let me know that my car wasnt ready for pick-up on the original day stated until I got there, even though I had spoken to the man on my way there! I had to come back the following day to pick my car up!-The free loaner car I was given was in bad condition
Completed State Inspection in appropriate timeframe and was of reasonable price.
Setting up the appointment was easy. They kept me informed through texting. Sent me pictures of the brakes and why they needed to be changed. Called me to approve work. Completed work within 1.5 hours and I had my car back. I needed the car back for work and they finished quickIy. I was back out the door the same day. Thats done right!

Dont ever come here They are SCAMMERS I specifically told them not to do an emission inspection because Im exempt for the five thousand miles and on the inspection papers show them doing it anyways and when I Went to do an inspection at first they told me it would take two hours but left me hanging for four and half hour, then tried to say that they called me multiple times and finds out the cant even get a phone number wrightDont ever come here its a waist of your time

Everyone has there ups and downs and sometimes we as costumers need to just be patient. I brought my car from another shop mainly because the financing but Scott was able point out other repairs that wasnt to initially found he was able to help me out and give me great prices. I pray that God blesses him through his difficulties.
This company is sincerely a joke. They hire the most incompetent mechanics they can possibly scrounge up. The prices are completely ridiculous, literally any other shop can get you a better deal. They sell repairs at a premium price then find the cheapest parts possible essentially stealing from the customer. Bad business, bad deals, very shady.

Misleading price due to the fact that I called and asked if they have their $24.95 oil change and I was told yes but when I got the bill it was $34.95 aaaaaand my explanation was that my 2001 Lexus Rx 300 takes a special kind of filter that’s $5 more and tax and shop supplies (oil ) made it $10 additional dollars which I kinda get but don’t tell me yeah we have a special and then bam, by the way it’s a extra $10 dollars, here in Pennsyl’Tucky tax is 6% so it should’ve been $26.45. But the multi point visual inspection sent to my email was very nice, obviously I won’t be having all that work done there but it’s nice to know what it is that needs done
This company is incompetent and dont care. I was to have an inspection and oil change. When I came to pick up my car they forgot to do the oil change so I left my car another day. I called at 4pm, paid, and wss told my keys would be under my mat. When I came to pick up my car that night, no keys. Very inconvenient and they didnt care.I will never go to another Meineke again!!
The person at the front counter was rude ( red headed man) . I asked question it was welp this is what they got . He obviously Isn’t a customer service person ! And I work with customers all the time . When I first got there I gave my number that was asked for ... when I got there to get my car he asked if I got the info I told him no . They never took my number down after asking for it when I dropped my car off . Then gets an attitude when I say no .Now for the gentleman that looked at my car (James) he explained thing to me so I could understand and was very nice and helpful! I’m not a car person so I’m clueless on what was being told to me but he helped me understand and was so polite ! Said if I have any question to feel free to call in and ask ! So 5 stars to James ! Thank you !
I’ve been going to this Meineke for various service needs over the last 4 years. This is about trust. I trust the pros to be honest and make sure mycar is in good condition. They have recently updated their waiting room as well, with new chairs and WiFi.

A lot of uneeded maintenance was done in a situation where I needed to simply get back on the road. Buyer beware. These guys sound genuine and professional, but I broke down traveling and needed to be somewhere and they took total advantage of an unknowledgeable man when it came to cars.

I previously went to the Meineke Car Care Center in West Chester, PA and loved my experience there, so when my husband and I moved to Lancaster, we immediately started taking our cars to this location. However, I continuously have had incredibly rude experiences here.On my first visit, I spoke to a kind man on the phone who explained to me what services my car needed and when I asked for an estimate, he said one would be ready when I arrived. I went to pick up my car and a different man behind the counter explained to me with extreme condescension that its important to get my car repaired when they tell me it needs to be repaired. I explained to him I knew that, but I spoke with someone on the phone who told me it could wait until my next visit. He did not seem to like that answer.As I was checking out, I asked where I could find my estimate, and he told me that there was no estimate and if I had wanted one, I should have asked for it when I called. Again, I explained that I had asked for an estimate. At this point, he had to go find his supervisor to find out details about the estimate. The supervisor turned out to be the kind man I talked to on the phone, and he seemed visibly perturbed at his employee for clearing out of their computer system before providing me with the estimate that had clearly existed.In effort to not have to deal with a person like the man I spoke with on my previous visit, today I had my husband call this Meineke location to find out if my cars oil had been changed yet. The car was ready, but the Meineke employee mentioned that there were also filters that needed to be replaced. However, there was no mention of the services that I were told were crucial on my last visit, and when my husband and I reviewed the inspection report from Meineke, my car passed what Id previously been told was a critical repair. To me, this suggests that either I was previously being taken advantage of as someone who is not well-versed in cars or the technician did a sloppy job with his inspection on this occasion.When asked about the air filters, my husband told the employee to go ahead and replace the cabin air filter, but he would take care of the other filter himself. The employee rudely told my husband that the filter was only $15 and that he didnt think my husband could get it cheaper elsewhere. My husband informed him that he had already found the filter on Amazon for $8 and that he was experienced with cars and felt confident he could install it himself. The employee very rudely said I guess if you want to go through all that trouble for $7.This locations extreme rudeness, lack of professionalism, and obvious condescension on multiple occasions made it an easy decision to find another auto repair shop to use in the future. If you want to be treated civilly and with a modicum of respect, I highly recommend NOT using this Meineke for your car care.

I went there to get my car checked to see why it wouldn’t go in park. After I just had the shifter cable replaced. The man at the front desk had me in and out in ten minutes tops. He knew exactly what it was right away. And tbh didn’t even charge me since it was such a fast job. They are life savers. If it wasn’t for them fixing it and being so honest I could have spent a ton of money and got taken advantage of since I’m a women. I highly highly recommend them to anybody looking for honest workers who know what they talking bout. Thanks again guys.

Took my car in for inspection. I argued with Scott about my brakes and said I just replaced them. Well low and behold he showed me the pictures and yes apparently my rotors and calipers failed in a year. So they are really good and dont rip people off. Also their labor rate is cheaper than others so its a good spot. Oh and I went to the one in lancaster which Ben owns. Hes a good guy also
This shop took very good care of me. My car had multiple problems, and all were quickly diagnosed and repaired above my expectations. Andy was able to troubleshoot some long-standing issues and fix what others could not. My car runs like new. Expertise. Quality work. Reasonable cost. Couldnt ask for better.

I had my car inspected here on 6/9/20. I regularly take both of my cars there for oil changes, inspection and other routine maintenance. I Got an email about my car showing everything that needs attention. I called in Couldn’t get through and finally did and I got put on hold for a half hour. I hung up and kept trying. Finally I talked to someone and it was a half hour before close. I wanted to make sure my car was finished so I could pick it up on time. The person on the phone was very rude to start with, then got worse and worse as the conversation went on. I was simply making sure my car passed inspection and didn’t need any of the recommended services they mentioned in the email. The man working repeatedly over top of my voice kept saying “you can come pick up your car now” vert sarcastically. I loudly interrupted him and asked about the other recommended services and if they needed done. He told me rudely to take it to any other auto shop. I will gladly be doing that from now on. I’ve heard horror stories about this location before but never experienced anything bad first hand. Now that last 2 trips I had terribly rude service and a misdiagnosed break issue which they quoted me $800 more than where I got it repaired at. Don’t support this shop if you read this. The bad reviews are all very accurate. Just the one guy working the phones seemed to be the issue. If that was my shop, I’d be appalled to have an employee like that.
I’ve been to this place several times only to find out that they are liars. I took my car in for an oil change and to replace a tail light. When i picked up my car they said there was nothing wrong with my tail light when they checked (which is clearly a lie because my tail light was still out when they gave the car back) they also didn’t even put a new oil change sticker on my car so I’m not even sure if they actually changed my oil either yet they were trying to get me to pay 100’s of dollars for more work when my car just passed inspection at my dealership auto shop a month ago. My boyfriend had also just been there and they made him pay $2,000 for repairs that we now question if they were telling him the truth since they blatantly lied to my face today. Will never go there again.
I was in the shop yesterday to have an oil change on my car. I had a great experience and really appreciated Andrews help and courteous customer service attitude. He was able to get me in the same day and resolved an issue with my Meineke points. Prior to yesterday, my experience with customer service here was horrible. However, I continued coming to Meineke because it was the most convenient, being that I work close by. Thankfully, yesterdays experience was much better, and I hope to have the same moving forward. Things I liked: They were open on Saturdays and were able to replace my starter within that time period. The staff seemed helpful and documented every recommendation.Things I didnt like: When I talked to them on the phone, we discussed three essential things within the recommendations and none of what I would term nonessentials. However, they still ended up doing all of the things on the list, which obviously led to a higher bill.It was probably a miscommunication on my part, but I will be much more clear with them if I decide to go back. I would still consider going back ... Id just be sure I know what Im getting into!

I had never gone to a Meineke before today, and they have gained a new customer. I needed an oil change because I am traveling for Thanksgiving. Even considering their busy workload before the holiday, they were able to fit me in with no problems. I used to think that this was a good meineke, but then my new brakes started to fall off while I was driving on the turnpike. It took multiple visits/calls/complaints to address the issue and the resulting damage. Why not 1-star, you ask? Because at least nothing ever went wrong from the oil changes.
Love these guys! They are always so kind and polite...even when they are incredibly busy. They really care about people, which is more of what this world needs. Thank you Scott, you especially deserve kudos for kindness. :)
They told me they couldnt work on my car unless I left it there, explained I could not leave it and they graciously still worked on it, I had a rattling in my exhaust system driving me nuts, couldnt find the culprit, they had it in and in 2 minutes they discovered it was my o2 sensor the bung was stripped, they made a temporary repair using j.b weld for free, no more rattling, told me for 100 they could weld in a new pipe, final price was $95.00 two days later, I am very happy as most of the time I DIY my 5.0 Mustang, the 02 sensor was making my car shutdown which could be dangerous, now it is running fine just did a 1200 mile road trip without any hiccups.
As a first time customers, I called in about concerns I had about my vechile. The representative told me they will schedule me a free inspection to see what is the problem, an a estimated will be provided to me if I decide to do this. I arrived at the location for my appointment early and was told by the store manager that they cancel all appointments, I also was told that the only way they will do a free inspection is if they are guaranteed payment. The lack of customer service and misinformation is outstanding will not recommend.
Careful! Friendly, polite, good service BUT... Said that car needed $1500+ of work to pass inspection: brake rotors, struts, and serpentine belt. I checked these out myself and they all seemed fine, so I took the car to another shop and it passed the inspection with no trouble.
They worked with me and got me in as soon as possible for a car inspection. After checking into some of the work they did it seemed like the prices were high for what I had done. They did get me on a payment plan so I didnt have to pay out of pocket. Nice guys, I just wish they were a little less expensive.

I needed to get an inspection last minute before leaving on a trip, and not only did they squeeze me in but they made sure I was all set for my trip, and offered a coupon to use to make the inspection half price. Above and beyond!
Clean facility and friendly staff. Answered all my questions w knowledge and proof of pictures. Would recommend for anyone :). Military discount is also a plus for those of us who are still in and or veterans. Thanks guys!

Use at your own risk. Just went in to get a 29.99 emission and inspection combo. Bil was closer to $50 after taxes and fees. Which by itself isnt why they got 1 star. I expected it to be $40 but some extra shop fees get added on. The reason I give one star is they are outright trying to take advantage of people by lying to them. They said my transmission fluid was black and needed changed, it was changed by the Honda dealer @63k and its at 75k . I double checked and yes it still looks close to new, not as dark red as fresh out the bottle but not clear, brown, or as they described it black. The cashier was rude when I said I did not want to pay $18 to replace a filter that does the cabin air. Rolled his eyes at me and acted pretty smug. From the garage I heard a lot of yelling. And will definitely not be returning. Tread with caution. Extreme CAUTION.
