I would certainly not recommend using Swartz Kitchen & Baths for any project...Unless you are OK with a company that takes your money and hides when there is an issue. We are currently in the middle of a kitchen project...I say currently because this project should have been complete 6 weeks ago but we are still waiting for a standard sized pantry cabinet in the super custom color of white!!!In the beginning of July we had our Merilatt kitchen cabinets delivered. When Swartzs driver did an inventory check with my contractor he said one cabinet did not pass quality control and we would have a new cabinet sent to us in 10 business days.....I was there to hear him say this so it wasnt 2nd hand information from my contractor.Mistakes and accidents happen and given the overall scope of the project there was plenty of time to get the cabinet to us before it was needed so my contractor proceeded. I was very happy that there was some level of quality control at the factory and they did not just ship out a damaged cabinet. Here is where the story quickly goes south. As the project moved forward we were getting closer to needing the pantry cabinet and well past the 10 business days. Our Sales person Cliff, who we really liked, left the company and it was as if we were dropped as a customer. There were multiple calls into Swartz (to Gwen and others) by our contractor about the status of the pantry. They showed ZERO sense of urgency and had no real information that we could use. At no time were they ever proactive about reaching out to us or our contract. We were constantly chasing them for information.I get that in this age of COVID things are delayed but the factory is open making cabinets and they were able to get all my other cabinets out to me. How is it possible that Im waiting longer for one cabinet than I waited for all the other cabinets??FINALLY we got word that the pantry would be delivered and they would be bringing it to my home. Awesome...longer than we wanted but who cares this project is finally coming to an end. When they opened the box there was one door missing and the other door was dinged...…Are you kidding me?!?!?! This appears to be the same cabinet that did not pass QC because it was damaged and looked filthy from sitting in a warehouse. The past few days weve been waiting for yet another update on when we can expect to receive this standard white pantry cabinet and have heard nothing back. I can not convey to you how poor their Customer Service is. They were all smiles when we decided to move forward with the Merilatt Masterpiece collection but they have been awful to work with on the issue of our missing cabinet. So as the calendar flips to September and my kids are about to go back to school below is what my kitchen currently looks like 6 weeks after it should have been complete!! Weve done many significant home improvement projects over the years and this is without question the worst experience we have ever had. My recommendation would be to find another company to work with.
On the phone, the sales representative seemed interested in my business. She wanted to make an appointment but was unavailable for days. I just wanted to come in and look at displays and ask a few questions! They remodeled my kitchen several years ago but will not be doing my master bath!
We purchased a double sink vanity with hardware for replacement of the existing cabinetry. We prepaid for the cabinetry and installation. Upon delivery, their installer was not able to install the new vanity and cabinet, the installer indicated that they were unable to take out the existing vanity, In our opinion this is something that should have been addressed at point of sale as they were aware we were REPLACING and existing vanity. Since they were unwilling to find someone to remove the existing vanity, Swartz promised a refund for installation fee-3 weeks ago-nothing yet? In the meantime we were able to hire another installer who was able to complete the whole job. We are still working through issues with the Quality: One drawer was badly marred prior to shipping. We provided pictures of the center drawers imperfection and were promised replacement. Two weeks later an email and call saying they needed another picture showing location of the drawer to be replaced, possibly another 2-4 weeks. During that phone call, it was indicated that when the drawer front is finally replaced, that the drawer front would be delivered but they cant put it onto the drawer or drill the holes for the hardware. I offered to bring the drawer to them to have it made right. The indication was they do not do this?A second quality issue: the holes for the faucets had been drilled incorrectly in the countertop for the new faucets whose information had been provided to Swartz. Fortunatly, our plumber was able to find a similar model(but not the one origianlly selected) to fit the incorrectly drilled holes.
Worked with Jason at Swartz here in Lancaster and the process was very easy and the service and selection were excellent. Jason was fun to work with and very professional. I would use them again.
Cant speak about anyone else there, but Jason Brooks is awesome. He did our kitchen and now both our baths. His customer service and patience is unmatched. I suggest him to anyone that needs cabinets.
Great service and pricing on kitchen remodeling!
I selected cabinets. Jason Brooks was awesome in guiding me through the selection of kitchen cabinets and vanities
(Copying my review since Swartz has multiple locations somehow)I really dont feel like wasting more of my time on this company by writing a review, but I have a headache and it reminded me of them. Ill keep it easy:Multiple warped and scratched cabinetsStill under warranty (new house)Asked for replacementReplaced door with the wrong colorNext guy comes in and wipes mud all over a brand new runner ruining it even though theres a mat outsideStill doesnt have the right colorThey take a door that has the correct color to send for a matchDont hear from them or see my doors for over a month (2 months maybe)Stuck with one thats the wrong color and one missingFinally get rescheduled the day after I complain (nicely) clearly meaning they forgotCancel on me while Im off wasting my entire morningReschedule yet againWorking from home this time and guy shows up two and a half hours early so I have to interrupt my work with my colleagues (remotely sharing workload)Have to get back to work so I dont see that he puts the door on backwards until its too lateDoor still warped and now my old door doesnt fit right, runs into the new doors handle, and both are crooked now instead of just the oneAt least the color matches after the third try, right? I signed off on the completion so I can pay a competent company to do the work when I have time. I never once blew up on these people since I dont believe that gets you anywhere and the last guy was nice, but I signed off because I just couldnt let them keep ruining my kitchen. As I said, I can easily restrain myself, but this company had me damn close to blowing up.Doing my best to just lay it out without being rude so forgive me, but these people are so incompetent that it amazes me that theyre even in business. Their work is beyond shoddy and customer service couldnt care less if they screwed up the appointments multiple times. I know for a fact that my home isnt the only one with issues either Ive seen the cabinets in the other homes and had many replaced before even moving it. Perhaps our builder chose a lower grade cabinet. They certainly chose the lowest grade cabinet company, Swartz Kitchen & Baths.
