Again, I love this place. Friendly staff, welcoming and they help you find your most beloved games you cant wait to play again. Great place for gamers! Its a gamers paradise.
Decent selection of new and used games. The guys there were knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyed some classic Mike Meyers vs. Jason debates and picked up a few games and accessories.
Nice place good prices retro gaming items, friendly customer service
Super friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Even helping my 3-year-old pick a game. Absolutely will come back.
Always friendly staff ready to give honest opinions when asked.
Im 53 yrs old and handicapped, I havent had a home game system since the 90s. Someone gave me a Playstation I had no idea how to use it or what games I wanted, the young woman that helped me was OVER THE TOP helpful (I will add her name later I forgot it but she was a key employee and she needs to be recognized) she never made me feel rushed, she took all the time I needed, but most importantly she helped me completely! I had everything I needed and understood what to do. This day and age there are few young people that have the patience that people like I need, she is an asset to the company and I wish her to achieve whatever she wants in life! THANK YOU!
Great store! If you are looking for games coming out today or from the past they have a lot to offer. Highly recommend it
Good store. Great ppl. Nice and Curious
I love this place with a passion. Im always welcomed!
Staff was very nice... Good selection... Some games were a little too overpriced... Many games were prices fairly... Overall recommend it...
The employees are great here. They will help recommend games. The store is always organized and inviting. There arent many places that you can get older consoles and games.
Very pleased with how they rectified a situation with an educational DVD purchase. I was worried because I didn’t save the receipt, but they took all necessary steps to try to remedy the problem. Ended up switching out DVD for another title and even refunded me small price difference! Very happy HS teacher!
I always have a great experience here whether its finding a hidden treasure or just the friendliness of the staff. Much better than Game Stop in my opinion and my go-to for video games.
As a serious collector, not a ton of high end options. I do love the layout with the ability to browse. Staff super helpful as well.
Lovely games and staff is 10/10
Excellent small local chain. Large selection, enthusiastic staff that go above and beyond to help you find what you need. Will always remain one of my frequent hunting grounds.
Great game store, they carry games for a large number of systems current and retro. Also consoles and accessories. They also carry Limited Run games.
Wide game and accessory selection, and very nice staff.
Huge space. Great selection. Kind staff.
Love the fact that the selection of modern games new and used matches the competitors but has the added selection of classic and vintage games, consoles, and hardware. Pricing for vintage gaming could be a bit better, but overall its pricing is a little better than competitors, and mostly matches current market value. Overall Im very happy to have this game store as an addition to our community. Variety and competition are healthy and necessary for an active and progressive market for our local economy, and I fell this business integrate well.
This was our 3rd and final stop on the PSP game run of June 2016. Once we walked in the front door I knew we had hit the mother load. This location has it all. I do mean ALL.First thing PSP games. Theres a rack inside the front door similar to the Willow location. However this time the shelf was about five rows deep. My nephew ended up with 3 more PSP games and then he picked up SSX Tricky And SSX 3 for the PS2. BTW all of the PS2 gams were Buy one get the other for half price. A steal really for those 2 games. I think the price came to like $7 for them alone.Second, I took look around the store and noticed on the top shelf that circles the entire room a ton of classic gaming system boxes. I asked the lady working the counter if they were all just old empty boxes and she said no, every one of them had their hardware which kinda made my jaw drop. I saw a Commodore 64 and its accessories. An Atari 5200 with extra controllers. Even a Coleco Adam kit that had the printer that sounded like a machine gun. Thats a fact. Another gem that caught my eye was an old Vectrex system. If you dont know what that is, it was the first attempt to make a vector graphic based gaming system. Examples of vector graphic systems would be the old coin op games like Asteroids, Tempest, Star Castle, etc. Its one heck of a find. If had somewhere to put the system I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. There was so much more I dont have time to describe it all, however Ive added a few pictures. All in all, this was my favorite location of the Just Press Play round robin trip we made. Ill definitely be visiting again on future trips to the area. My nephew also made out. On our haul today he ended up with 8 PSP games and 2 PS2 games. Thats a pretty good start. Definitely check this place out for your retro needs!
Very cool! Its the best place to go if you want to buy vintage games
First time in the store. Very clean and organized.Staff was very helpful in explaining the console and games. They have my business.
This store is truly a gamer and movie lovers dream! In my experience, they offer the best prices on games and trade ins. I also can never walk out without buying at least 2-4 blu rays for my collection. Highly recommend checking their trade in values before visiting competitors.
My son wanted a used copy of the Call of Duty WW2 game. Just Press Play had it for $10 LESS than on Amazon and EBay and in great condition too! Awesome store!
Great place with really nice staff. I visited to sell back a gaming device i no longer use and the experience was great. Also kudos to them to being super vigilante about COVID-19 things including requiring masks and limiting the number of people in the store. Theyre doing a great job!
Great variety. Friendly staff. Fair prices.
They buy and sell any game or console no matter how old and staff are supper awsome!
Great selection of vintage and modern games and related items, courteous and friendly staff. If you are not local, it is worth the drive. Recommended.
Have older games for reasonable price. They rip you off on trade ins!
The friendliest, most helpful employees mixed with video games everywhere. What more could you ask for?
I love the just press play stores best place to get retro and new games!
I was there (Lancaster location) yesterday (July 22) and I had cried just before so my eyeshadow and mascara was all over my face. The employees didn’t even give me weird looks as I browsed the games. Made me feel like maybe I was serving Some runway looks. Regardless, they have an awesome selection of games and really good prices. I told my brother about them and we plan on returning sometime soon.
A great store, only visited once but they are one of the few out there that will repair cds for you! Just wish they would open a Harrisburg branch or somewhere close! I import a lot of music and the drive is a bit much to repair the odd cd. They also have some pretty obscure titles and stock older games, a great plus for those interested in the classics!
One of the best, friendliest, excellent game shops.
Video game stores are a dime a dozen, but Just Press Play in Lancaster is a Diamond in the rough. Not only did they make it easy to find the games and Blu Rays that I was looking for, but they also provided high class and exemplary customer service. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and was asked if I needed any help finding what I needed, and they were genuine about it. They made it a point to advise me of current deals they had, which saved me money. The overall experience at Just Press Play was nothing short of being stellar, and will be returning to this store again.
The layout of the store is colorful and makes it easy to find everything. Im visiting from Chicago so compared to there, the prices seem competitive and fair. They seemed to have kept a good balance of current modern games and retro titles. I REALLY really appreciate that they used the easy to peel price stickers on their games, thank you ever so much for that. The thing that bothered me the most is the games behind the counter under the glass. I get that theyre in the case to keep them from being stolen, and thats cool. But itd be nice to at least have the price labels visible so we dont have to ask the employee about every single price. Theres some good complete in box games in protective sleeves in those cases, I was overwhelmed and wanted to know the prices of each and every one of them since Im a collector. Imagine me asking the person can you read to me the price of every single game in this case? Perhaps a booklet of prices or something like that could be kept on the counter. If youre looking for a good retro store in the area, check them out.
They just robbed my friend of $40 after he returned a perfectly good piece of equipment that he bought a couple of hours ago customer service was horrible they all treated us like as if we did not fit in I felt discriminated against and I almost felt as if they were staring down my next I will not be going back to that cruel chilling place the
Love the variety here.. always stop in when I am in the area, and I live 2 hours away. You never know what they will have in stock when looking at retro games.. theres no option other than to browse, chances are you will easily find something you are looking for.. the great prices sure dont hurt either. And be sure to sign up for their mailing list, coupons can come in useful.
The employees were more than helpful when I asked them about any question someone could ask. The prices were excellent (beat GameStop by a lot) and the selection couldn’t be beat. The best gaming store ever. Definitely for retro gaming people!!
Reasonable price and warranty.
Have so old gaming items. Very busy store
Amazing staff, very clean and organized!! I loved this place especially for their amazing prices. Came here for the first time and fell in love with it. Has everything a nerd and a nerds father could possibly want. Will be coming again! :)
Best game store around
Amazing prices! I love the friendliness of the staff! It is so cool to have a great video game store that sells things for the retro AND new consoles!! I also love that it is more than video games! Movies and collectibles are also sold at great prices! Amazing staff, prices, and much more!!
I sold the majority of my old Sega Genesis, Xbox, and Gameboy games and consoles here. I got a very fair trade in value for them in the form of cash. Mike (one of the owners) was super helpful and friendly in guiding me through the process. Highly recommend.
Friendly staff, both very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions or let you browse
Whatever you desire retro style new aged and modern gaming this is the place to be infomitive and wise this place is fair with pricing and has a local business feels. Love the staff here and respect there knowledge of gaming and video game lore. 5 freaking stars period!
Always a pleasant experience here. Great selection of new, used and retro games, and with 4 stores to pull from they usually have anything you want. Traded in a bunch of games and everyone was really friendly and efficient. Support your local game store.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Gave honest advice told me good games and bad ones. In my case the good games were less expensive so they saved me money. They didnt pressure or try hard selling . The staff is a big part of what will bring me back in the future purchases.
Just Press Play is where I get all my DVDs and the only place I buy my games. The store is the coolest I have ever been too, I say that with confidence as I have been in game shops in England and Spain to buy power cables for my Nintendo Switch. And lastly, the team at Just Press Play is the knowledgeable and friendly.
Whats not to love, friendly and knowledgeable service. This place along with its other locations are my only go to places for video games. They also carry used blue-ray, DVD and even vinyl records.
It was a great place for any one for all ages
This is the absolute best video game store I’ve ever been too. No pressure from the sales staff like the chain stores. Great prices and everything video game related you can imagine from classic to new. Plus a tone of movies. Don’t go anywhere else. Locally owned and all of the locations are just as good.
Awesome store. Retro games and systems, as well as all the new stuff. I could spend hours in here getting old games that bring back fun memories. Ive gotten a bunch of Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Play Station, and N64 games that I thought Id never get to play again. Highly recommend!
Love this store! I can always find something cool here. Great staff!
Just press play is by far the best vintage game store in the area. They have all the new stuff as well but they go back to the days of Atari and have a lot of unique items for collectors. They pay much better then GameStop for trade Ins and charge less for products then them too. Why are you still reading this ? Go get those classic titles before they are gone!!!
I was at your store Sunday with a ton of trades later on in the day. The staff was quick, accommodating, and gave very fair trade values. When asked for recommendations, they were very knowledgeable, and their ideas have been spot on. I highly recommend anyone stop in and see the difference between them and their more corporate competitor.
Great store.
I have been a loyal customer of Just Press Play for at least 7 years. I truly love the atmosphere, the employees, there knowledge, the fact that they care about giving you the best value for your money, and the stores extensive inventory! There are plenty of other places to buy video games, movies, gaming systems, music, and accessories in Lancaster County but if you want the best place....... The Only Place Is JUST PRESS PLAY!
Outstanding customer service. Huge selection of new and used games from just about every generation. At competitive prices. Super knowledgeable, down to earth, honest, and friendly staff. Very clean and organized. This store has some very hard to get titles. Also has a great selection of used movies and box set shows. A must visit for any serious gamer looking to build up their collection of current and past generation games/consoles.
Manager, Tyler, and sales rep, Ben, helped guide me to picking out and understanding my son’s Christmas present (Xbox One X). It was very informative and helpful for me. Their customer service and wonderful demeanors are second to none. I highly recommend going to this Just Press Play for all your gaming needs! I know I will!
This is my sons favorite store on the planet & without fail every single time we go the employees there treat him with the same respect they would an adult. They talk games with him and give him the low-down on what they like best & really make an effort to get to know him. They are incredibly knowledgeable regarding games and systems & the customer service is always top notch!!!!
Awesome people and no focus on new, young JUNK like gtav and cod
You want people who are passionate about retro systems, knowledgable about new and old games, and willing to go the extra mile to help you out? You’ll find those people here! I almost couldn’t believe how friendly and conversational the staff was not to mention how quick they were to help me out. They sent me out the door with a happy heart and a confident step!
Way better then gamestop! Family own game store love it! Friendly also never had a bad experience at any of the location but lancaster shopping center is my favorite great group of people! 💪🏾 keep it up 💪🏾
The staff is amazing, very helpful and very polite and friendly. They will chat with you and make you feel welcome. The prices on the games are very cheap compared to competitors. And of course the selection of retro and current generation games is huge. Theres something for everyone in this store.
Probably the best video game store I have ever gone to! I love how they have such a wide variety of games and systems as well as movies and collectibles. The associates are some of the nicest people I have ever met and take pride in what they do. They truly do put the customers first with not only making sure you have a good experience in the store, but are more than willing to help with talking you through a game or finding just what you need. I have gone to other game stores before and nothing compares to the superior customer service and experience that Just Press Play provides!
A gamers heaven. Very competitive pricing, huge selection and amazing service. I keep coming back to this JPP because of the excellent staff. The folks there are very knowledgeable, not pushy and aren’t snobs. Sign up for their email list to get some pretty great coupons every month.
Traded a few games in and bought a new console, staff is super friendly and helpful. Got to talking about older games and although it was my first time in there, it had more of an old school game shop vibe than anything corporate. Will go back
For a collector, prices are what you would expect BUT the store is decorated in vintage video game memorabilia. Thats so cool!Hopefully we got more of these style game stores as GameStop is forced to loosen their deathgrip😅
EXCELLENT costumer service! Zack and Luke were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us figure out why we were having difficulties. I would and will continue to purchase from this store. Over and over their costumer service goes above and beyond! Very satisfied.
I have had really good experiences while shopping here, each time Ive gone they have always been super helpful. The store has a lot to offer for all types of games and they are always willing to help you look things up for pricing, and if they dont have it they help you figure out where you can get it.They do trade ins as well and its so much better than going to GameStop or other large companies who dont understand the value of a good game. Just Press Play will give you a good pay out for trade ins.If you enjoy gaming I say check them out
Fair prices. The best time to shop is black Friday.
Just Press Play is the best store if u are looking for collector and vintage games. My son only has old games on his gift list and not only do I find many I am in search for but the staff excels in customer service! Luke spent a great deal of time finding titles and the supervisor, Tyler, also came thru on a few titles as well! They care a lot what the condition of the games they take in. When I go for my sons gifts, I go to Just Press Play...it us always my first stop and also my last. Take my advice and make that stop your favorite too!
It game fun(I purposely spelt it this way.)
They have a great team of staff at the Lancaster Shopping Center location. Theyre always so friendly and helpful. Id recommend Just Press Play over any of the other game stores.. If you havent been there yet, you should REALLY try them out. Guaranteed you wont be sorry..
Love this place. Its not just for gamers either. Plenty of movies, tv and even records. Also great people.
My favorite place to shop for retro games! Huge selection thats always changing so thats good if youre a collector. The staff is always polite and always helpful.
Great selection of games. The store is laid out like a GameStop. Their current gen games are priced the same as GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy. If you are looking for current gen games, I would recommend buying them here rather then a bigbox store.Their retro game selection is huge. One of the larger selections Ive seen at a retro game store, but that comes at a price. From what I saw, expect to pay a 25-30% or more mark up. For instance, Castlevania IV was priced at 49.99 but is valued at $30.I definitely recommend this place for current gen games and for older games that you need to have but cant find anywhere else.
They dont make stores like these anymore. Great if you want older retro hard to find games. Im glad it exists.
Our experience with trading in games and movies, and then buying games and consoles has been flawless. Luke and Tyler made this process fun, easy, and super affordable. Competitively priced and amazingly nice, I highly recommend Just Press Play for all your gaming needs!
It was fun seeing all the old game systems that I had as a kid. My daughter enjoyed it also. They have a large selection of games for every system.
Absolutely sad excuse for a gaming store. The really cool inventory they have, (stuff behind the counter and on the top shelves) is NOT FOR SALE. Asked the sales person what prices were and the guy called it a museum, went to another one of their stores and they called the items behind the counter and top counters FROM THE OWNERS COLLECTION. Ridiculous excuse for store. Doesnt make any sense to have a good amount of the inventory for sale. Their prices for everything else is pretty standard per other game stores, but totally thrown off seeing a bunch of awesome stuff that arent allowed to be sold.
Great store! Zach the owner is a man with a plan....and it works! Thanks for being awesome. From retro to new THIS place is for you!
The staff is awesome and very helpful.
Amazing customer service. I will always go there over GameStop. Better prices and honest employees!
Answered all my questions honestly and helpfully even though they were pretty busy. Found exactly what I needed and was handled quickly! Definitely going to come back to this one in the future, these guys are awesome!
My favorite local video game store. Great staff, reasonable prices, and an awesome selection of retro, last-gen, and current games!
Great place. Best prices and exchanges. Knowledgeable and helpful staff
Great place to purchase new or used video games from the SNES to todays consoles. Also has a nice selection of accessories.
Favorite place to get videogame stuffs, both old and new. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, large selection, and usually solid/fair pricing.
Friendly staff that you can tell loves video games. If you love retro or current Gen gaming definitely check this place out.
Staff is always dope and friendly. If you want retro games/consoles or if youre looking for the latest releases, youll be sure to find it here. Its a cool regional business that loves what they do.
This store right here is the BEST game store BY FAR! Knowledgeable staff, friendly environment, the most reasonable prices ive found, and just about anything your gaming heart desires. Wish I could afford to go there every day!
Great staff reminds me of why my thumbs have an unmatched work ethic!
When you walk in this place to the nostalgia is unbelieveable. Not only can you buy games from this place but it is like a miniature museum of video games and arcade games. And all the other stores are different. If you are a video game fanatic you definitely want to stop by this place
Great experiece! It’s nice to have a place where they put customer service first. Julia was extremely helpful and made my eleven year old son very happy with her determination to help him with his ps4. Julia was very knowledgeable but most importantly very kind and patient. Will definitely recommend and will be back.
Eric was super informative and a pleasure to speak with as we were deciding on what game system to purchase. He gave us his time and we are so grateful for the patience he had as our questions were nonstop as we were trying to figure these systems out and which would be best suited for our family. Thank you again Eric we truly appreciate your time, advice and information. Thank you
