My nephew and I had went on a Sunday afternoon. They were pretty busy when we got there and were waiting on someone to wait on us. I think it was one of the managers had finally came over and got our drink orders. He came right back and asked if we were ready to order. Got our food out quickly afterwards and checked back on us a few times to make sure that all was good for us. Its only the 2nd time Id been there, but I will definitely be back again. We had the pot roast sandwich and Cuban... both were great π
Lyndon Diner has always been a regular hangout spot for my friends and me when we were in college. Now I go there with my husband and kids. Friendly staff and great food. I recommend the parmesan crusted pork chops because it was delicious! The pork melts in your mouth and I loved the flavor. If you havent been, I suggest you go because it is a great place to eat! The only thing is I wish they would bring their fried green tomatoes back because I miss those. It was one of my favorites on the menu.

Seems like a pretty hostile environment for no reason when Im just politely trying get myself a late night brunch. Very surprising since everywhere and everyone in Lancaster is incredibly nice so I genuinely hope its because theyre exhausted. If you want alternative suggestions, CoffeeCo is definitely a better option during the day. Much better service and the food is even better. More honest people, in my opinion. I think the other diners are also way better in terms of food taste quality. My rating is mostly reflective of the food taste and partially to the unnecessary rudeness. βΊοΈ
Had a breakfast meeting at this location, the service was great and enjoyed my Cheese and Bacon Omelet. Definitely would go back.
Food is great!! Flavor is better than diner food. The service, that depends on the waiter or waitress mood for the day. Last waitress must not have been having a good day. We were still good to her. She could have smiled, introduced herself and not looked like it was hard to be there. I honestly didnt think she was enjoying her job. The 3 outta 4 times Ive been Ive loved the wait staff.
I LOVE Lyndon Diner!!! The food is really tasty and their service is always EXCEPTIONAL!! My most favorite server is Jessica. She is extremely attentive and efficient!! I have been going there for several years now and as soon as I sit down- Jessica has my iced tea ready for me. She does it with a smile on her face!! My friends and I all love Jessica. The whole staff there makes a person feel important!! They are wonderful!!! If I could rate it over5 stars- I would!!!! You just cant go wrong eating at the Lyndon Diner!!!
They the vampire kiss. It was very tasty. Food was good and the portion sizes were good too. Our waitress was awesome. Need better selection of beer but the Sam Adams October fest was fine.

Stopped in for a bite while traveling. We love the diner look. The meal was good, service was great. The downside is they were out of two items we wanted to order. The good is there are plenty of options to choose from.
A really refreshing experience compared to your average diner, the decor was retro but didnt feel dated, our server was friendly,attentive and listened well. The food was delicious, the menu wasnt huge which is always a good sign and the meal was fast but fresh tasting. My recommendations would be the Hangover sandwich and the Yankee pot roast was incredibly tender and juicy. Overall 5/5, next time Im in this area Ill be stopping again.
Ok.Their menu online is currently inaccurate. Ended up not eating here. Bummer.Old menu was better. Service was slow. Used to be much better overall. Dont know what happened.

Always love coming here. I always order the same thing. Lyndon breakfast special. Its a ton of food. Sausage is absolutely delicious. Whenever my wife and I have a day off together we usually come here for breakfast.

Food was great and our server was wonderful. However, the hostess was as snotty and condescending as they come. Arrived at the resteraunt, was given a number and told it was going to be 10-15 minutes. No problem. Waited outside. She came out and yelled numbers. We waited 20 minutes, finally went inside to see if she forgot us since people who arrived after us, with the same number of people, were being called. She smirked at me and said, I was calling your number. I said, sorry, no you did not, we were right outside, you skipped our number. She walked away saying, Fine, Ill seat you in a minute. She then grabbed some menus without saying anything else to us and started walking away, turned around and looked at us like we were idiots like we should have known that we were being seated. Cannot stand staff that cant be at least a little friendly.
Classic diner. Large menu, very busy, but were seated and served relatively quickly. Service was good. Irish breakfast was large enough for three people, still have left overs several days later. The other breakfast item we tried was the French toast, it was good. I will definitely be back.
One of the great diners to choose from in the area for breakfast. Their hashbrowns & egg casserole are my favorite signature dishes. I will have to come back & try their dinner entrees but Im sure I wont be disappointed.BTW, pleasant & courteous staff.
We just had a birthday get together here (22 people) and it went excellent. The manager was attentive and our server Diane did a fantastic job. The food was really good too. We would definitely recommend.
Good food. Very comfortable booths, and friendly servers. Their hours are a little confusing being shown on site as 24 hour despite google saying they have only 20 hour days if i remember right.But i enjoyed my time, Ill have to make this place a regular stop going forward.

Dont go for the ambiance haha. Decor and atmosphere is pretty cheesy but really just typical diner stuff. The food is yummy, serving sizes are generous, and there are a lot of options. Servers are really really good. If you go in expecting a typical diner experience you should be satisfied.
We waited and waited before waitress took drink orders. 5-10 minutes later she came with drinks that belonged to the table next to us. We overlooked that.Menu heading said comes with 2 sides. Below were 5-7 entree options. Chose fish and chips and was ready to order 2 sides. Waitress says it doesnβt come with 2 sides. Proceeded to point out where it said 2 sides. Waitress said sheβd let us talk to manager. Manager came over, pointed out what we were talking about. She proceeded to be quiteβcockyβ, explaining fish came with fries and coleslaw. That was the 2 sides. Explained thatβs not how menu was printed and how it was being read. Manager repeated herself, was beginning to get a little more upset, said obviously a misprint on menu. Menu was laminated. If it was a misprint why had restaurant not returned menus or somehow corrected it ?? How much would they have lost monetarily by allowing a customer a side of mashed potatoes and veggies due to a misprint?? Manager was extremely rude and condescending. Left without eating after spending 45 minutes to order drinks, get wrong drinks, waiting for waitress to take order and 5 minutes being talked down to by rude manager. Took my business elsewhere

Great food, friendly staff, nice location. This restaurant has a nice 50s diner atmosphere with a hint of an Anglo-Irish pub. They serve excellent diner food and the staff were really friendly. Good place for a great meal.

Country Fried Steak was my favorite dish at Lyndon. And you got rid of it, to be replaced with Country Fried Chicken. I asked the server if that was any good and was promptly told no. Why in the world would you get rid of such an amazing menu item? Please bring it back.
Service was great, very welcoming and sweet. Portion size is huge and will easily leave you with leftovers. The only issue was the food itself. It was overwhelming with salt. Maybe we shouldve came for more of their breakfast meals instead because we had stuff off their dinner menu. The pasta sauce and rice was so salty and the broiled chicken had no flavor.

We ordered breakfast dishes, when they came out, they had clearly been microwaved to reheat. The middle of my Benedict was still cold, the hashbrowns where cold, and tasted more like mashed potatoes.Really enjoyed the environment of the restaurant though, and our waitress was really nice and friendly, the food was the only issue.
This was our first time at this diner and we had breakfast. The food was great, the service better. Nate took our complicated order and delivered it to us in no time. We are visiting from NY but should we come to Lancaster again we would surely stop here!

Went all over the city to find a place to have breakfast. They were able to seat is right away. Service was fast and the staff were attentive. Food was excellent. Great way to start the day.
Service was great. Server was very nice and did a great job. The food was not as good as it used to be. Asked for over easy dippy eggs and they came fried as hard as rock. I like fried eggs so I ate it. Corn beef hash...was yucky. Table beside us returned very under cooked meat.

Iβve been a loyal customer for many years, but I have to agree with several posters that the service has gone downhill of late. The food is still good but the managers and greeters have been quite rude the past three times weβve eaten there. Hope they realize that the service is just as important as the food, or even a popular place like Lyndon Diner can lose customers.

I had previously called telling the manager how great the food taste . My employee called and asked was our order ready and was told yes . He had to wait sometime for the order because it was not, the bacon wasnt Time loss from work . Thus when he came back not only did he miss out with customers our entire order was extremely cold . I called and spoke to the same manager and she placed the blame on him, saying the person answering the phone was not accountable for giving the wrong information and I informed her that was not acceptable . In a mild voice, I paid for orders that werent edible and she hung up the phone saying have a nice day . You wont have to worry about my business again . I would never treat a customer so rude.

Whats a menu without a beverage section? Theres a hard time figuring out what drinks they have, non-alcoholic.The smores waffle was really good, but it was quite sweet as for the chocolate overload. The vanilla ice cream helped break down or balance out the sweets.As for the hot chocolate that I was able to order, it taste really good.Overall, I recommend this place for a nice meal of any sorts.

Decent food with a cool atmosphere. They used to be open 24/7 I dont know if they still are with covid. The food is usually a little plain and lacks seasoning, but decent enough.
We used to (pre-covid) love to go there for breakfast. On our last visit however, the food was tasteless and bland. I never thought a dinner could fail with breakfast foods but they did. Sad.

I had a great server but the food was bad like rotten bad and that is unexeptible for any food establishment. The onions and peppers in my home fries smelled so rotten I had to address it immediately to remove it from the table. That should never be the case for any food establishment. Goes to show the old lyndon city line diner is no more.

My go to breakfast is the dried beef gravy served over the hash browns with a side of their corned beef hash. I always get too excited when I know were going here. 11/10 would recommend.

Well I come here hungry and I leave absolutely stuffed big portions hot meals delicious food the waitress staff is hopping and friendly. This is by far the best diner I have been to. The portions are generous and everything I have tried here has be delicious. We always get the pumpkin bread and the BLT sandwich is huge with plentiful bacon. It is a whole meal by itself.Almost anything you could want can be found on the menu.The staff are very friendly and understanding of the challenges of bringing kids of all ages out to lunch.They also serve adult beverages including some good dessert martinis and coffees.They get busy at times, but if you see empty parking spots, you shouldnt have to wait long for a table. When the lot is full and people are parking in the street, know there could be a wait.As a plus, they are open 24/7

I have been eating here for as long as I can remember. I have never really been disappointed in anything but the pastries. But thatβs easy to get past. The service is amazing and the meals are fresh and tasty.
Lyndon Benedict was very good. Turkey panini had too much cheese drowning out the turkey. Dining was uncomfortable however. We were a party of 7 squeezed into a circular booth. Not even enough room for each of us to have a place setting. Maybe better for smaller groups

Food was ok but pretty average. The waitress was not very attentive and the young man at the counter just seemed confused about everything. Had to wait close to an hour for our food because I suspect that it was dropped in the kitchen considering the loud crash and the waitress assuring us that the food would be out soon. Would not come again.
Hometown diner thatβs very spacious, small bar. Has that old fashioned feel. Would be nice if the bathroom door swings outward inside of in because itβs easy to bash someone inside the small 2 room stall as was done to me and a woman after me. The food was very well priced and prepared well, portion size was great. The hash-brown casserole was plain looking but turned out to be a very tasty buttery surprise, couldβve used a bit more cheese/flavor. No sitting breakfast bar with stools as hoped but still well worth a visit! Seemed like everyone knew everyone and many smiles.
