What an awesome little place!! Their nonfiction was a bit limited, but their murder mystery selection was better than Barnes & Nobles (not to mention their prices). Dickens the cat was very helpful at helping me decide on a good book. The human employee was excellent as well-- asked great questions to spark conversation, but also wasnt so talkative that I couldnt, yknow, read. I imagine itll only be cozier once theyre done renovating.Notably, Im allergic to cats (😭) and dust mites, and the store was kept clean enough that I didnt have any trouble. Impressive for a small place full of used books and cats.All in all, Ill definitely be back, and not just because there was another cat I didnt get to meet.

When you get hungry to read, you are really craving an awesome book that will keep you captivated. One that you can disappear into the storyline, and not even come up for air! You wont put that book down, and you will not get nothing else done for the whole day! This is the place to find that book in fact, you could probably just pull up a chair. I wouldnt be surprised if a kitty cat came and to sit on your lap! Welcoming you to fit right on in! Comfortability factor? All you need is a Afghan and a pillow on a rainy day! Any kind of book that you want, youll be able to find it and in good shape too. This narrative says a lot about the owners, you can tell that they have a true passion for books! Lots of hometown feel but wow its a huge jumble of a mess. Give it a few years for them to figure out some organization.

What a delightful experience....sweet little shop with a multitude of books and kitsch to keep any book lover happy for hours. The resident cats Webster and Dickens welcome you with meows and affectionate attention which just enhances the experience. Fairly priced used books in good condition..well worth the visit...

I spent probably an hour and a half in there before meeting with my lawyer and I couldve spent another hour there. The woman who works there is very helpful and she gave me a great discount for buying about 20 books with cash. Highly recommend it, especially when its the only used book store in the county.

I love this store that is in downtown Lancaster. There are books galore to be had. And not just books, cards, bookmarks and a few other surprises. Take in your old paperbacks, hardbacks, CDs and DVDs for credit. There are two beautiful cats who watch the store.

I went into this bookstore today around 1600. I did not have a mask on at this time, and was asked by the girl working if I had a mask? I said yes, and walked back out and went to my car and got my mask. After being inside the bookstore for not even 2 minutes, an older gentleman walks into the store without a mask. The girl who had confronted me did not say a word to this gentleman about not having a mask on. Obviously the girl was giving me a hard time because of some sort of personal insecurities of her own.If your going to ask one customer to wear a mask and almost turn then down, please lead by example and do so for each and every customer. I will not be back at this store ever again. I felt like I was being bullied. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Local mom and pop shop. Used books at fair prices. Dont go if youre allergic to cats. I was looking for a board book for my 1 yr. Old niece but most books started at toddler level and were paperback.

Very disorganized and messy. piles of boxes and books everywhere. the place smelled like mildew and there was dust and cat hair everywhere. prices were ok if the book was in good shape, but you could be paying $6 for a book in bad condition. no difference in prices regardless of book condition. i can buy new books cheaper at ollies. the older woman working there was nice enough but didnt seem like she wanted to be bothered. i was disappointed and wouldnt recommend for people with allergies.

Really great selections and the store is pretty organized considering how many books they have. If you use your in store credit, the books can also be very reasonable.

The clerk was a bit rude. She was on the phone the entire time. Didnt greet us and kind of made a big deal when I asked a question. The price is a bit high for used books and the store isnt very organized or labeled well. Disappointed.
