Brought a L1A1 in to have fixed, under my own thought that it was an FAL, apparently they never checked what the gun actually was, or thought about why they had to modify and cut so many parts to put it together. Took 9 months to finish, while I was constantly being told it was almost done, told them repeatedly not to blue or cerakote the gun, but they did. Lost parts that I gave them to put together, broke parts that they had bought to put on the gun. And in the end it didnt even look close to right, gaps under the iron sight from putting on the wrong stock, the correct stock for the gun now wont even fit right from where the lower was cut to fit the wrong stock. The grip had to be gouged for the safety, and was modified to where i cant even put the right grip back on without more cutting, the forend doesnt fit and is crooked.Im extremely confused about this store. Id seen some of their work and none of it looked bad, but they seriously dropped the ball for me. Be wary with them

Terrible place had our gun for over a year. To replace a site clean gun and blue it. Now the gun is so far off you cant hit the broad side of a barn and 90% of time gun wont fire. 300.00 to make gun inoperable.......when called was told didnt leave the gun long enough for them to correctly complete the work.......so if you want to make your gun a paper weight this is the place to go.....otherwise run.........

Would give a negative rating if possible.Are you wanting gunsmithing done by Ray Charles himself ? This is your place then. Took my gun in to have cerakote done took 7 weeks and still looks awful. Want your scope mount broke ? Take it to them they can do it ! Took it back in after cerakote for feeding issues and he’s proud of the work he did. Failed to properly reassemble my gun after they did “work” to it. Refused to make things right by replacing the parts they damaged and wouldn’t refund my money. Please save yourself a headache and money by not taking your gun to this place and letting them do “work” to it.

Dropped my shotgun off for some work and had it back in less than a week! Great customer service, knowledge, affordability and turn around time. Would recommend metal gear to anyone looking to get work done. Will definitely be back with any future needs.

Destroyed the Upper and barrel on an AR, Claims its Solid Work and wont correct or reimburse for the mistakes. Do not trust them!

The gentleman that handles people on the phone is rude and quick to anger. Definitely has a temper and I will NEVER do business here again. A person that angry should not deal with firearms on a daily basis.

Today, 10/13/17 I Had my AK repaired and some custom work done, He also made a Butt stock plate for another rifle, All while I waited. Im very happy with his timely work and he was more than fare with his prices. This business is really worth your while to use. You cant go wrong!

I went to get some ammo I could not find any where else and felt it was worth the drive. Louis has friendly service, and his gun smithing work is more than worth the drive. Louis Merrick is very knowledgeable in everything guns. Had a problem with my Ruger SR9 with a pin falling out due to wear. I brought it here and he fixed it, hasnt fallen out ever since!!He has a good selection of gun accessories and survival gear and if its not on the shelf, he can order it! I, an AR noob, had a simple issue my very first AR. I took it to Lewis at Metal Gear Armory, who quickly fixed my issue and even gave me instruction on how to properly disassemble and clean my new rifle, without charging me one cent.I would highly recommend MGA.

Metal Gear Armory did great work cleaning up an old 1903 Springfield, and also fixed an issue with my M-1 Garand. Took it to the range and it shot like a champ. Prices were very good and will use in the future.

I brought in my poorly spray painted Gen 1 G17 asking for a clean up and to replace any worn parts. No only did he clean up the weapon he did it in a very short time frame. My G17 now looks like the day it was made. Mr. Merrick also did a trigger job on my M1A, I cant forget to mention that. A-1 quality work. I recommend MGA for anything from paint to parts to service to gear. The man knows his stuff!

I took an AR barrel here to have my titanium muzzle brake pinned and welded. I had trouble finding a shop to do it in Columbus. I called several places before I found MGA. They all said they couldnt weld a titanium brake. Brought it in to Louis and he special ordered the materials he needed to do the job. He even had to make a custom titanium pin which he turned on his lathe. Also when he was done, you couldnt even see where the pin and weld was. Thats how you know he knows what hes doing. Louis is very knowledgeable and does great work.

I am a Cpl in the ODF I Run A FAl. Metal Gear Got it to run great. They Modified it to all me specs. They had to Manufacture a lot of the parts that you could not get. like night sights. and they did a great Paint job.

I didnt know what to expect when driving out to Metal Gear Armory, but I was totally surprised. This guy does just about anything you could think of. I needed a rear takedown pin detent and detent spring installed and the wait time was non-existent. I will definitely be back in the near future. Would 100% recommend as a go-to repair and custom shop.

I have been going to MGA for a few years now for all of my gun needs. I first took my CCW class here. The instructor was very personable and professional. Range time was great with lots of 1 on 1 training. Also took my AR here for some mods. Not only did the mods turn out great, but my rifle was finished before it was expected and the price was very reasonable. He has also worked on some family members rifles, and they were all very happy with the results and the price. I would highly recommend MGA for all of your needs!!!

The instructor was very calm courteous and confident he answered everyones questions I believe everyone leaned a lot from the class i since have purchased firearms from them ( cheaper than most large scale companys i.e. Vances) and have had 1 restored 1 repaired and 2 custom pieces done.
