The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, very willing to help if you need it. The selection of seeds that grow well in our area and seed starter options are awesome and I love the amount of heirloom seed available. Highly recommend this store for all growers.

We went to the Spring open house. They had lots of seeds and different varieties. We just thought it would be a nice thing to check out during the pandemic. We ended up buying everything we needed for planting our garden this year. Each customer got a free chance for the raffle, free pack of sunflower seeds, coupons and they had free wrapped donuts and packaged drinks . Due to the pandemic, they limited the amount of people going inside and only let the same amount of customers to go in as have gone out. Masks were required.

Great selection of seeds, bulbs, planting supplies, gardening supplies, and more! Staff friendly and helpful. There did seem to be some low inventory on some items, but planting season is right around the corner!

Huge variety at good prices.

Great local seed company, one which I have used for a few years for garden seed and which my grandfather used for farm seed many years past. Their variety in store is excellent, especially if you are looking for tomatoes, peppers and corn. They carry many brands from Burpee and Livingston to Baker Creek and Seed Savers Exchange. I have had good success growing the store brand and their prices per packet would put a smile on a Mennonite. I do not regularly grow flowers but they do have a selection of those. Also, Rohrer has a nice variety of seed potatoes in early spring. I cant say enough good things about them. They are a great local story, to boot.

Need more inventory on shelves. Drove 2 hours and you didnt have any more than our local Lowes! Enjoyed your staff, Earl was educational for our young nephew who was buying seeds.

I bought a lot of seeds from them and when they bloomed, they were not like the pictures on the seed pack. The zinnias were tiny and some of the seeds never bloomed. I wrote to the company to tell them how disappointed I was and they never even replied to my email. I also requested a seed catalog twice and still haven’t received it. Not that I’ll ever order from them again. I hate writing bad reviews which is why I tried to resolve it first but when a company ignores you, I feel it’s necessary to let other people know.The owner of the company contacted me and addressed all my concerns so I have changed my review from a two star to a five star. Thank you very much!

They sent my seeds in a timely manner, and reasonable prices. I have beautiful herbs, and flowers that survived winter where I live, and look beautiful this year! Wish I could show pictures. I ordered some more seeds this year. I had my little girl plant some seeds and they’ve already sprouted.

Never been to the actual store, but there seeds are great. I have never had an issue starting any of their seeds. One thing I love about there selection is you can buy what you need - they offer their seed in two to three different sizes, so you can buy a little or a lot and all at great prices!

Maybe the staff was having an “off” day but I was not impressed with the help or how questions were answered. I went in looking for grass seed and was a bit puzzled that every bag had the same generic information on it except for the seed varieties. No one working there seemed to want to help so I studied some more and finally decided on a variety. On checking out I asked about pasture mixes for chickens and goats and was told to look through the catalog. I asked “are there specific mixes in the catalog” and she handed me one and said, “theyre in there”.I wasn’t too pleased. Like I said everyone has bad days but that was a terrible first impression for me.

Tremendous selection of good quality seeds, but I should have given them 5 STARS as they are exemplary in their field!

Great customer service! Also, plenty of choices. Some organic seeds were for sale in the retail store.

Best place in Lancaster County to buy seeds locally

I live in northern N.J. and every year for the past 8 years i order my seed or go to lancaster with my family and buy my seed from Rohrer, every seed i plant comes up no matter what it is i will always buy from them,they have a great selection and are a big help in the store too,I highly recommend enjoying the lancaster area and stopping by to get some greens beans srykers or Sicilian white zucchini.

Unfortunately the store was not open when I arrived - Google maps showed that it was open, however those are the seasonal hours. The store is not open Saturday mornings in December.
