Great atmosphere, affordable prices, and a wonderful childrens sections covering a wide variety of topics for little ones!
A nice place for new/used and modern/vintage literature.
Interesting. It helps, as far as Im concerned, that the owners Vegan!
Great place. Warm people. Love the scents from the incense shop attached. Great selection of used books at great prices.
Have all the new comics and lot of old ones.
I love this little local bookstore. It feels like coming home - I always take a few minutes to browse through the used books, even if Ive come in looking for a particular new release. This is where I first heard of The Hate U Give, after the owner and I had a conversation about books we like and he recommended it. I, in turn, recommended Fat Angie to him. I love a store where we can do that. I never get that homey feeling at a big chain store.
It has a lot of great stuff, it smells really good, you can sit and have a cup of coffee and read. Its just great.
Look, I love bookstores and did find a book to purchase. Lots of interesting bumper stickers. But it smelled horrible in there. The incense they burn is not enough to cover up the nasty smell...
Great place, wonderful people running it! Were lucky to have this kind of place in the neighborhood.
Very little comic knowledge by most the employees. Was told a few days by the employee that they grade most the comics as midgrade so they over charge on comics. Some comics have grades on comics but cgc would probably give them half the score. They have no problem changing the price from marked price infront of customer and not honoring price. Very little new weekly comics on hand. The organization of the comics are by first letter so you go throw multiple boxes finding the same comic in different boxes and hoping to find what your looking for but the employees are normally sitting at counter so its can be noted that they arent going to try to put more organization into it. Its non-profit but they try to get max dollar for everything. Its a shame that there is only three comic shops in Lansing. If your not shopping at Summit comics, you have to travel to metro-detroit or Muskegon for a decent shop.
Picture this (if you can): a local bookstore that supports local authors? AND its local community? Yep, its here and its happening. This space actually houses three different stores, too -- three for the price of admission. Now, thats cool!
Very helpful staff, tons of books and supplies available. Even if your not sure what your looking for and have lots of questions, you get answers with a smile.I never felt like I was asking a stupid question, very informative. I plan on going back.
My favorite bookstore in Lansing. Lots of progressive literature and the owners are usually available. A community room is available for small groups.
Great hole in the wall place to get what you need that upscale bookstores have.
Support Local Bookstores! Special order your books here. Great Folks enlivening their community.
