Not sure where the bad reviews come from. Bought an F-150 from them. 3 weeks later, timing chain went out, broke the camshaft and required a complete rebuild on the engine. Even though Empire was not liable for the issue weeks later, Greg handled the entire situation with complete professionalism, and took care of my issue. 3 months later, the truck is still running perfect. Highly recommended repeatable dealer.

Fraud I financed a 2008 Buick enclave back in 2018 the car had bad tires all the way around brakes and rotors bad all the way around I had to get that fixed myself and then I decided to take a vacation that summer and I went to Atlanta when I came back they sent somebody builders to come repo my car talk about all the month behind when I wasnt and when they came and took my car they stole my amp and speakers out of it and act like they didnt know what it was Kelly sent them to get my car and had them steal my amp and speakers out of it she is a hot mess empire is not to be trusted I dont recommend them to nobody they get down on people take people money and then try to take their car to talking about they owe payment they is mess DONT with them!! Dont believe nothing that they get on here and try to say I paid my car off cash!!!And the only reason they got five stars is because they asking people to give them fire Stars

I bought a car in February of 2020. I never should have bought the car but what they did shouldnt be happening to others. Unbeknownst to me this car had 7 owners, went to at least one auction and had full body damage at one point. I am leaving a 1 star review because they shadily sold me a car that should have been a salvage title but they never disclosed any of that information to me under the guise of as-is which does not cover them for a scam sale. Legal action would have been taken (as shortly after my purchase the car became inoperable) but within a few weeks COVID sent the world into a panic and there were more pressing obstacles at hand. After $4k of repairs (doubling what I paid for it) I ended up selling the car because it was beyond repair even after everything I put into it. There was a new problem every time I started the car and the transmission started to go. MORALE OF THE STORY spend money on a history check and be wary of buying cars from this location, you dont know what theyre not telling you. (Also the car sat at their lot for 4 months before they sold it and they never cleaned it, like seats full of dog hair, trash under the seats and a cd left in the player)

I purchased a vehicle a couple years ago At the old Cedar St. location and I had a wonderful experience with my sales person. The deal was easy so when I needed a new car a couple months ago, I returned to Empire. It was a totally different experience the second time around With the staff at the MLK location. They knew little about the deal and finance company I went through. I had to go back to the location 5 / 6 different times to sign paper work And spent Thousands more on the car than I should have. Two months after the purchase the brakes are totally gone on the car and I just called to ask about repairs and they said during tax time they will not do any repairs. The check engine light is still on on my car though I told my sales person for different times to have it checked out. Complete chaos at that dealership and zero integrity with their salesforce.

They have very large selection of cars especiallySports and buying a car from them was a pace of mind they got me approve with in a hourdid not the best credit the office lady will find you a bank guarantee .I recommend Empire of Lansing to everyone

After my car accident Empire Motors worked tirelessly with me to get me into a new vehicle at a price that I can afford.

This car buying experience was worse than I could have imagined. My wife and I were in dire need of a reliable vehicle that would be suitable for us and our three children. The initial experience was not bad and Courtney and Costel were nice and helpful. We traded in our 2008 Ford F150 for 2k that had some minor issues even though we knew we could sell it privately for more. We took the 2011 Ford Edge for a test drive and everything seemed fine, except for some grinding when the wheel turned The tire pressure sensor also did not work, but we were assured that would be fixed and that the grinding was just because vehicle had all wheel tires on it.On our drive back to Metro Detroit where we live, all of the lights in the vehicle came on. My wife immediately called Costel and he told us to bring the vehicle back in when we could. The vehicle also stopped speeding up properly and the check engine light would flash everything the gas was pressed too hard. The following day, the windshield wipers would not turn off. Costel told my wife they already sold our ford f150. My wife took the car home and the windshield wiper was fixed and the rest of the lights were off for the time being. Once she got back on the road to detroit, every light came back on, plus the fuel inlet light came on, as well as the check engine light. She again communicated this and was told to bring it back in. As the week went on, she could tell the vehicle wasnt holding fuel correctly, the speedometer was not working, and something was leaking under the vehicle. We checked the oil and it was black. My wife took the vehicle in for an oil change and was told the axle was leaking and needed replaced, it needed a case transfer replacement, and the rear differential was leaking. At this point, we were furious that we had been sold a lemon. My wife called the loan company and they informed us that the dealership would need to cancel the loan.They assured us we could come back and find a new vehicle. They told us, they only cancelled our loan with the stipulation that we purchase another through them. We were then sent to Greg, who did seem to be genuine and wanted to help us. We were finally told we were approved for a 2017 Jeep Renegade that we liked, but needed a deep clean. None of their cars seem to be cleaned or serviced before being put on the lot. We went in to finalize all of the paperwork through the exact same loan company that we used for the ford edge, and were told we were being denied (after we were already told we were approved) because my husband was being paid through an LLC, as he is an independent contractor and works as a barber. We submitted bank statements, taxes, paystubs, everything possible to prove that we had verifiable income. This was not good enough, even though they already sold us the first car! We were absolutely angry at this point. Greg assured us he would get a deal made for us. At this point we were done with the dealership and the loan company as a whole as they completely screwed us. We requested that we get the 2000 back for our truck and were told once we brought the title in, they would give us the 2000. We went to rightway the next day and were immediately approved for a 2019 Nisaan rogue with only 40k miles on it and were in and our of the dealership in less than an hour. We not only wasted time with Empire, but when we took the title back, we were told they could only pay us 1087 for our truck because of the sales tax with the state, and we would have to take it as a loss because we had the option of fixing the vehicle. I am absolutely sick over the whole experience as we could have kept our truck and sold it privately instead of getting essentially nothing for it, while they pocketed whatever they sold it for. I wouldnt recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. They wasted our time and money. its obvious they just throw cars onto the lot when they get them and then tell you theyll fix anything wrong with them once you buy it, but they only have one mechanic. It was an absolute horrible experience.

The MLk location is great good customer service but the startup that was branching off from them not so great. Which is who zi got my car thfough. They up charged me and then never sent my papers to secretary of state. But Empire on MLK definitley git ke right and fixed everything. Much love to tjose that helped.

Total lemon. One thing after another. Ended up pouring thousands into the vehicle three months after we bought it, just to find out the brake lines were on their way to gone. This was the most expensive junker I’ve ever bought by far.

If i could give 0 stars i would. hands down the worst experience i have ever had with a dealership. found this place on FB marketplace, went to view a car that supposedly had no rust, scratches, dents etc. was supposed to be a very well maintained, nicely taken care of vehicle. drove across town to find scratches all over the body, a rusted hood, and pieces missing from the front of the car. the corner of glove box was literally coming off of the dash. decided to give them another chance, hoping the imperfections were strictly cosmetic. i’m car shopping on a budget - so i understand that not everything will be perfect. spoke with the salesman that i connected with online and made a plan to take it to a mechanic for an inspection the following monday morning. i called around 9am right when they opened. i had a morning slot with my mechanic. they told me they’d call back. 1.5 hours pass. i call again. they said it’s ready for me to come pick up. i arrive and the vehicle is STILL not ready to go. took 3 staff members for them to maneuver it out from where it was parked. then another 10 minutes for them to get gas. turned the car on and the oil change light was on! took the car across town to my trusted mechanic (didn’t get it to him on time due to the disorganization) only for him to tell me that the car felt so unsafe during his quick drive on the highway that he didn’t bother doing a full inspection. not only did they waste my time with their inaccurate description of the car online, but they put myself, my family & the public at risk by not requiring their staff to wear masks. social distancing is near impossible in their tiny lobby. both times i made the mistake of coming in, MULTIPLE staff members were not wearing masks and there were customers in very close proximity to one another. i decided to wait outside to be helped. i would rather be cold and safe from COVID. while outdoors, i was approached by several staff members that were not wearing masks and had to repeat again what i was there for. little to no communication between staff members. bottom line, the way they handled this was absolutely unacceptable. they are dishonest, unorganized, and clearly do not care about the public’s safety. this was a waste of time, energy, and gas $ getting multiple rides to and from.

We went in today to pick up a new Camaro, the guy we spoke with PAUL told us that we would be able to walk away with the car for 7500 and not a dollar more then he said he made a call to his boss and that with taxes the car would be 7800 so we left and went to the ATM and tried to make a call to his boss to make sure that’s all it would be. All that we were allowed to speak with was secretary’s that we’re RUDE then they decided they would like to raise the price AGAIN to 8,400. This place is a joke and does not k ow how to be professional at ALL. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!.
