I always hit the clearance rack and find some great bargains for my family. I even found swim trunks for my husband on the clearance rack. You can find some good deals for your kids when its time for them to go back to school (I always did, but they are grown now, now I get to find some for my granddaughter who is going to pre school soon ) 😊🌸.

It was fine. Not super busy as the Mall it anchors is about empty. Shoe selection nice if your not a wide width. Found all I needed but must say Im not much of a shopper. Only go here since its close to work.

JC Penney is just fine. My son and I each found a couple of clothing items we could use, totalling only fifty bucks. Pretty good deal.

Good deals in the store and good customer service. Only issue was not enough cashiers. The wait was not bad but there was only one person on the register.

Some of the items are at the upper end of retail price but if you have the time to sift through the sale items, you can really find some good bargains at 60 to 80% off.

Found what I was looking for and was able to checkout with no problem.

Item my mom bought was on clearance. Saved some money that day. Would be nice if those clearance items were tagged.

Extremely helpful employee in Jewelry section. My Fiance ordered his wedding ring online size 10. Turns out he wears a size 13. So we returned the 10 and ordered a 13, which they didnt have in store but will be delivered to us this upcoming week. Nice, polite, helpful, professional. We love JCPENNEY!

Its smaller than other JC Penneys, and I never really find quite what Im looking for here

People seem nice and happy at work

Just bought a suit and pants for a wedding this weekend. Found that they had some really good prices on the app ($160 for the set). Went into the store and they charged me $250 for the set because they claimed those were the Online price even though the app said I could do in-store pick up. Only reason I didnt order it from the app is because it said the store I was at didnt have the suit in stock even though I found it when I went in person. Im confused that a store cant match their own prices. Wouldnt have got it if I didnt need to and wont be shopping here again.

I do enjoy being able to go to a store to try things on. The womens department has historically carried a good variety. I wish they would be able to carry more for the boys department. My 8 year old loves Nike & Adidas but we have not been able to get his size.Overall it is a good mall store to shop save for the lack of air flow.

Unfortunately it appears that this store is ready to close up. Went looking for curtains and the shelves were disappointing. The entire store looked poor. I used to love to shop pennys

Please open the kids fitting rooms. It was uncomfortable taking my 9 year old into the adult mens fitting rooms.

Always.Check.Prices.At.Checkout.So many promos they cant keep up in system apparently. Whenever I check out, there is Always a discrepancy in at least one item. Always. And I only usually purchase 5 or less items. I Only shop here maybe twice a year; Pretty bad odds folks. If trying to save a buck, keep a close eye on that ring up. Jus sayin...Would serve them well to install price checkers through out store for shoppers to be aware before checkout........

JCPenneys always has great clearance prices I purchase three sweaters and with a discount only paid $15

My necklace broke 32 days after I purchased it. They refused to help me because I didnt buy an extended warranty for fine jewelry. They wouldnt even let me exchange it. Very sad customer service for time in our country.

Classic department store. Sales are always good. Clean and well lit. Checkout lines are usually not too long. My daughter loves riding the escalator.

JC Penney is not like it use to be.Their clothes and other products are on the scale of 4. They dont have good quality merchandise. The linen department was basically empty and this was before Covid. The city of Lansing has forgotten about the shoppers and have not put any quality department stores back in the Lansing Mall. I will say that as a shopper, customer, and consumer we dont need dollar stores and low brand shoe stores nor do we need game stores and please not Beer and liquor stores. Just saying.😥🤑🥰

I used to love going to this store, today however was not a great experience. The clothing selection for mens was very slim, but we were able to find some active gear to purchase. As we were getting ready to check out one of the sales associates very rudely told us the line was on the other side of the counter. So we complied and moved to the other side of the counter where nobody else was in line and waited for the same rude associate to finish her personal conversation after she ended her conversation she thought it was time to finally assist us, the only customers she had in the line. She never offered to explain the 30, 40, or 50 percent off instead she rudely explained that our purchases did not qualify other than one pajama bottom we purchased, and then she proceeded to ring us up without the coupon. My sister in law gladly went to another associate to do her check out....so very disappointed with this visit and the customer service received today.

Awful customer service. Store is disorganized. Workers are on edge and extremely judgemental. They need to learn social skills. I will never shop this location again.

Service Representatives are very well trained.My dad died yesterday.My 87 year old mother wants him to be buried in a suit and a blue tie with a small pattern. I found a suit but could not find a blue tie in my parents house.I went to Penneys because that is where Dad bought suits. He always appreciated the high quality and competitive prices. I bought three ties that matched my mothers description and let her choose the one she wanted.Then, six hours after I bought the ties, I brought the other two back to the JC Penneys where I bought them.I expected a hassle because I had removed the bar-codes and hanger from the ties so my mother could see how they looked against the dress shirt we found for dad.I also expected a hassle because there were seven other customers lined up to purchase items.The service representative, named Carly, was both professional and kind. She asked if there was anything wrong with the ties because she did not want to restock product if it was not perfect.I am grateful that Carly simply took care of business and did not pry.

Was looking for shoes when I went here, but unfortunately didnt have any shoes for myself, they only had women shoes.

Great clothes just pricey.

So I came in for a quick in and out over the Christmas Holidays. I was in the jewelry department and was scanning for a gift for my mom. A young lady said she would be with me in a moment as she was helping another customer. This was fine with me, but another older woman who was working didnt even bother to look at me. I found a few items I wanted to purchase but wanted a closer look at them with prices. After a few minutes, I walked out. I came back like 10 minutes later. The younger lady was still busy, the older woman was busy doing inventory I guess. Neither helped me. Didnt buy anything and probably will not return.

I was in the jewelery department of the Lansing Mall store, and I had to go to the rear cashier to have a cashier paged, and someone finally came out of hiding !

Sephora was horrible! Gal knew nothing. She suggested a eye liner pencil that was way to dark! Wont be back!

I was able to get in and out quickly. Everyone was very helpful and friendly

It is sad to see the store go out of having people come to the store to get clothes. I have to try on clothes to know if they fit.

Nice JCPenney store. Its a bigger two story store with a good selection of clothing, cosmetics, jewelery, and home decorations. While the store is older, it seems to be well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The escalators in the center of the store and the larger service elevator remind me of visiting such department stores in my youth.

There are a ton of sales!

Ordering online and doing curbside pickup was a breeze. Wasnt a long wait at all. Curbside signs were a little confusing.

Sales of up to 50% off purchase. Always great sales on very high quality clothing and home furnishings. Glad to have them close for our city.

This is a very nice place to shop! You can pretty much buy anything (non food related)....jackets, shoes, clothes, bedding, jewelry, kitchen appliences...pretty much anything you can think of!! Its a pretty big store with a big parking lot. Prices are not that bad there. You can also shop with them online if you want to, you just have to pay for shipping. Overall, its nice there

Stopped to pick up an online order, the outside of the store is a mall entrance that could use some updating, but dont let that deter you from stopping in. Helpful employees, all sale items had signs, racks of clothes were neat and tidy, checkout was quick and painless. I had the impression that there was a skeleton crew working with all of the multitasking going on. Nice employees, will be back. Clean bathroom and fitting rooms.

Much more organized and courteous than Meridian Mall Pennys. Meridian didnt schedule anyone to work in jewelry on the second to the last day of their Huge end of the year sale! Lansing Mall Pennys got the $600.00 sale & I luckily got the goods. THANK -YOU 4 being what we expect. !!!!

The lady that checked us out was phenomenal!! We didnt know it but she was getting ready to clock out for the day but she helped us anyway and did it with a great attitude. Also, the young lady that helped us with our return had a very good attitude. We were very pleased with our visit to JCPenney.

Historic company, what can I say? This is one of the last original department stores in America. They still have an escalator in the store. Their format hasnt changed too much over the years. JCPenneys is an American staple. Great brands, great savings. Plus you never know who you may run into...😎

I enjoyed shopping at J.C.Penny, they have a blankets and home accessories, as well as a beauty salon, and great womens clothing as well as mens clothing and accessories, along with a jewelry department, as well as mens cologne and womens perfume and makeup, as well as childrens clothing and window drapes and accessories, looking forward to returning soon.

I had a hard time getting service in the jewelry department. The girl there seem to think it was ok to have a long conversation with a co-worker instead of helping me !!

Great place! Kinda confusing layout but once u get it awesome. Plus check out the Chinese massage place after ur done shopping there amazing!

OK selection of goods. OK staff. Some more helpful than others. Typical retail. Make sure the cashier removes all security devices before you leave. My return trip from 40 miles away was not appreciated. However, I was able to speak with a manager and get a bit of a discount for my inconvenience.

Jammed full of discounts and over flowing sales racks. Check out centers were busy and manned with only one sales person per center. Long lines. Unwanted merchandise was just thrown on the check out counters. Place is sad looking. Hard to move through all the narrow aisles and stuffed racks. Summer merchandise heavily discounted. The sales racks were at the front entrance to the store so they blocked the fall merchandise displays. Stupid floor planning. No display invited you into the store. Eye chaos.

So! I dont enjoy shopping for myself over much at JCPS, because their plus size womens section always wants to make you dress like youre 80. Im fat, not old. They have cute toddler clothes sometimes, and the occasional fantastic sale on them. Paying second hand price for first hand clothes is nice. But! The reason I am leaving this review is none of that. It is for their photo lab. Those guys were great! We went in for a very special set of photos and the ladies there, despite being overwhelmingly busy with their 15 minute seating times and loud, emotional clientele (a whole lot of toddlers getting their xmas photos yesterday) were absolutely phenomenal. They worked so well with my daughter and with us, making us feel comfortable and making the experience enjoyable. They got gorgeous pictures of us all. I really cannot compliment them enough. We have been to private photo companies that did not have as much creativity and ability to work with kids, and were much more expensive besides. The three of us had a phenomenal time, and will absolutely be going back

I love brick and mortar stores. I love no hassles exchanges. However today I stood in line waiting for my turn at the register 30 minutes even though there were only one family ahead of me. The waiting line grew. Managers came and went but it did not seem to occur to anyone to add a teller. Mind you... this was a quiet Wednesday AM.

My hair dresser of 15 years works there and Id great.

Photo center makes the best canvas prints anywhere around. Photos taken are always of great quality. Rose does a great job with the kids.

Too expensive for electric blankt

Not impressed with the online registry process. I ordered the gift to be delivered and there is no option for gift wrapping or even a card to let the couple know who sent the gift. Nice towels though.

Some clearance items have good deals if you can find your size...

Okay not gonna lie, the escalator seemed very unstable but also first time riding one so that might be a reasoning for my lack of safety feeling, They need a larger girls section desperately!!
