Such good food I am now in love with the craftsmanship that comes in hand with the people who work there just want the whole community to know that this place does good work at what they do!Micheal my server was really mindful and on top of my care of service would definitely come back for my happy meal what all stars you guys have working for you Petro !
Beware!!!!! There is a young mechanic named Austin. Very bad skills. He changed oil on my truck. Next day fuel filter leaked. In 4 days oil filter leaked. I lost 2 gallons of oil. All filters were not loose. He damaged them during installation. Beware!!!
My wife and I were at the main Fuel island today to take a shower and the nicest Custodian that cleans our showers JohnWas so kind we were overwhelmed and we were aware of how busy it was when we arrived. He was really persistent and showed us we were his priority. Never expected this from a truck stop but now our expectations have been changed after this experience .We wont let his works go unheard this man was just too nice and mindful we are pleased thank you petro for having such a great team member we are appreciative and not forgetful with today thank you!!!
Very impressed with John, the inside porter. He helped me and was very friendly. He assisted me with my shower and made sure I felt safe and welcomed. I would be glad to come back and get same service again!
Stopped by this area not too long ago and was helped by Mr. Bilyk who was super respectful and helpful. Good to know there are still people out there who genuinely want to help others. Got us back up and running in no time, thank you Petro!
Would be nice if they cleaned the showers. Or at least pretend like they do. Clearly someones shampoo and rag left over. I uploaded both pics so you can see the whole towel rack is full plus the one from prior. So yeah Not a big deal but at the same time it is because it makes you wonder what else they halfasss just to get it done. Lazy employees get replaced. There’s people out there that would kill for a job. So replace the staff and start fresh
John the shower custodian has shown great work ethic and awesome conduct. Will definitely come back. 9:30 pm.
So at the end of my day, I stopped here to get some food and the only thing i can find is the fuel island food packaged to go. Normally it would be great but tonight was weird. I don’t know if two employees were writing messages to each other or playing a sick joke but look at the pic bellow the writing is a joke it self. Someone deserves a slap on the hand!!!!
I wanted to change their oil ... At 8:00 pm I signed up at the reception and they promised to call me in two and a half hours, in the end I waited until 1 am! I fell asleep and did not wait for the call, they called only at 6:00 in the morning, of course, I did not hear the call because I was asleep. When at 7:00 in the morning I went to the front desk I was told to wait another 8 hours. They do not respect the work of drivers at all.
March 27, 2021.It is still winter in WYOMING!Just came down Sherman Hill, snowing and blowing snow. 23 degrees. Need to clean windshield. In WYOMING.Thanks for nothing, Petro Corporation. All froze up.I did say this is WYOMING where they claim to know winter? This is NOT covid. This is ongoing bad corporate management.I am spending as much as ever. How about some round the clock support in exchange for customer loyalty?
Passed through here the other day. Asked one of the porters, John, for some help. Pointed me in the right direction. Great help!
Absolutely had to stop and I’m glad I did, John G was a delight to chat with was very helpful and made my trip just a little easier, it’s nice to have friendly staff at these stops on long trips!
Last sat sept 25 I’m a truck driver and I’ve been to many gas stations the bathroom at peak team anywhere you go are a mess this one clean first time ever then I went to shower and same thing so ask someone that work there who cleans your bathroom they thought I was going to complain then told the cleanest bathroom I seen in a long time. Thanks Jonny will let all my truck driver friends where the can get a fresh shower.
John the Janitor that was cleaning the mens restroom today was spectacular with the stallsNever had I experienced this at a gas stop Maybe Las VegassCasinos . Thank you for being so kind have not been greeted like that in such a great amount of miles I have made this trip will never forget hope to see more people along my way in these travels .Saturday October 2, 20217pm
John the inside Porter has good conduct, very friendly, and persistent! Very helpful person!
Good facility and clean.Gas price is decent. Lower than the West.
Not a bad time, John is a great dude and was awesome to talk with. He really cares about everyone he runs into and hes down to hear stories, while hes not cleaning our showers.
Walk into the shop see about getting some work done on the trailer. Well at 6am a 7 hour wait. Guess it is the nature of the business now. I wont be using any of the Petro, T/A shops seems 7 hours is thr new 2 hour lie. I have work to do.
So it’s 10am on a Saturday morning, u know one of the busiest travel days outside of professional drivers. Now I can understand a restaurant being busy, but in this newly post Covid world u would think they would open as many tables as possible. On the contrary a large majority of the tables have green cards saying those tables are closed. There was one table not occupied by people and without a green card. Only this table was literally covered in dirty plates. Not like the previous patrons let’s over plates, but more like a holding area for the entire restaurants dirty plates waiting for a Jesus moment with a dishwasher. Instead we decided to check out the hot food in the store, which had 1 cookie and 1 sausage biscuit ready. Looked extremely understaffed and I don’t blame the employees. Being that I work at a truck stop I just don’t understand how anyone is ok with the state of this location.
Horrible. Most pumps were closed so there was a line. Picked up the nozzle and it sprayed on me. Then the open pump was going soooo slow. I stopped at .25 gallons after waiting as long as a normal fill-up takes. Also, the gas was more expensive than next door. I come through Laramie often enough, but Im never coming back here.
Out of all the petros and TAs this is got to be one of the worst I dont think I will be coming back here ever again the employees are rude their argumentative and they dont follow their advertised prices even the manager is rude disgusting place
6:30pm, all warm food trays are empty?! But theres 2 cooks behind the counter fiddling their thumbs not replacing food in the trays. Ok, so thought Id get a warm hamburger, but i guess Im supposed to eat a plain hamburger because they dont believe in having lettuce or tomatoes or cheese. Needless to say i didnt even bother to fuel. Wont be back!
We have had to be towed to this shop a couple times. Once the road assist gentleman, Matt, left his little heater/lantern with us because it was 9 degrees inside the truck and he had to leave us as we needed to be towed. That was so very nice and considerate. We ended up breaking the glass in it and he was so gracious about it. We tried to pay him for it but he wouldn’t even take it. The people at this shop are very kind.
Not only do you have to pay for Wi-Fi, but when you do, it doesnt work. Continuous unstable connection. TA/Petro is very quickly losing all my business. My $20-30k annually for fuel and services isnt much in the big picture. But, keep screwing all drivers like you do and more and more will be thinking like me.
Great food great people.
Currently only the front section of restaurant is open. After driving 10 hours turned away. Guess its dinner some place else. Stop living off free government money. Come back to work.
Fuel pumps running slow except for premium which was fast. This appears to be a dishonorable business practice.
Im a truck driver and was very upset that at 8pm there was nothing to eat here. How does a truck stop restaurant close at 8pm.
You know I wish they fixed those giant potholes at the entrance so we don’t have to brake our trucks every time we decide to stop at Petro! Very poor management, too bad it could have been a better experience for everyone.
Restaurant hours are 6am-8pm. Doesnt seem traveler friendly. Place seems like a shell of what it used to be..empty game room, boxes of products on the floor.
Think you can come and have a sit down dinner after 700 miles, oh no, think again, think you will be able to get something at the fuel island, oh no, think again. This has got to be the sorriest Petro on the interstate, rude slow and awful . Dont stop keep going.
They say dining is open but that a half lie its only open for 7 hours in morning than carry out rest of day one sorry place to spend a 34 just ridiculous and management wont do anything about it stay away from this place
Bad management no shower was clean what so every none had and old men cleaning a shower took him 30 minutes to clean one the talk to the supervisor she say that’s the only help they had no one else to help this old men had about 10 drivers waiting for shower just bad management
Very good service! Staff was super friendly. I especially enjoyed their variety of low priced coffee that tastes great and keeps you awake.
No wifi in building unless you pay (nobody charges for wifi anymore but ta and petro. )and cell service dont work inside. The longer im on the road. I have Few and fewer reasons to use Ta and Petro. I always feel i got ripped off and cheated.
Lady in fuel Island needs a little bit of a attitude adjustment. Very rude.
After sitting on side of road in Rawlings for two days because of weather, I was blessed to stop in Laramie at the Petro for breakfast. My servers Miss Kathy and Miss Katie were true professionals that love their job and their customers.I also was impressed with the chef that cooked my steak.I had the sirloin and eggs medium rare with fruit and it was delicious. It is not often you find a chef that is better than the ones out outback steakhouse but Mr. Dylan is good enough for Roadhouse. These people and their professionalism set the atmosphere for me to enjoy my meal and look forward to finishing my run.
Do not order food like pizza hut ECT. Petro does not allow food del to the trucks have to meet del person in front of building. Im stuck here because of snow storm. By the time you walk back to truck food would be cold .its 1 deg. Right now. So petro I didnt buy food there. I put a pot pie in the oven. Haha
I wish Id gotten his last name but I didnt. David was the technician sent out to rescue us on the side of the highway on Sunday 10/13 around 2pm. He was able to promptly diagnose the problem and fixed it quickly. He even took the time to explain what had happened and afterwards what to look for. We want to thank him greatly for his promptness and professionalism!
It always disappoints me that Petro/TA truck stops have such poor window cleaning supplies at their fuel pumps. One would think that in locations known for winter weather that the drivers would be able to adequately clean windows and mirrors. Not so, and this location is no exception. If my company did not have a fuel discount arrangement with this chain, I would never come to these locations for this very reason. Poor customer service at the pumps!
Best buffet in Wyoming!!! Quality food, and very good service. My wife usually always orders off the menu, but here she has the buffet, as did I. Its a very good value for all that they offer!!! I recommend stopping here if youre passing by!
Had work done in the shop. I was previously told that they wouldn’t be able to get me in until the following morning, but they took me right in instead. Two guys worked on my truck who actually communicated and kept me posted on the repair. I can actually say the same for the service desk which is a real blessing. I also felt that the price was fair.
Extremely friendly lots of room. Fresh and clean showers. Great restraunt attached. Will come back
Do Not Purchase The Wifi they take your money and service sucks constantly drops
I ORDERED A NY STRIP STEAK. THERE WAS A SLIGHT ISSUE ABOUT HOW IT WAS COOKED. THE MANAGER ON HAND TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING NICELY 👍
Called for a service call for a flat tire said it would be 45 minutes called back after 11/2 hrs said they had an issue in shop will be there in 45 minutes another 11/2 hrs service tech calls and ask if i still want tire fixed he was just told about the service call no courtesy call or anything to let me know they would be late
We came into the truck stop the bathrooms were filthy no tissue paper, decided to have breakfast the server never greeted us with a good morning! Waited 20mins for our food!!! Very disappointing we stop here alot!
Second time (10/5) Ive been in here and seen ppl preparing food with NO MASK ON !!!?oh, well. Im sure TAcorp will be bought-out soon enough by LOVES soon enough.Im getting sick & tired of the CRATERS in the parking lot. FIX THEM !!!
Steak was great at the Country Pride . Open till 8:00 pm limited seating
4 hours to find out they dont carry headlights for Freightliners. Waste of time.
Rude staff.....very unfriendly staff I will NEVER BE BACK !!! lots of places to get Fuel........
The one star is a minus one.......no customer service. Waited for 45 min only for the food to be ice cold and to see other customers who came in well after I sat to receive food before me and my beautiful gf. Never again
Lots of parking For big rigs. A lot of fuel islands to fuel up as well so you’re not having to wait in line. The inside is always been super clean and the bathrooms are a bit above average as far as cleanliness. They have a nice drivers lounge. OK food options for everyone and A few vegetarian and vegan options but not much more than you would find at a regular gas station. There is an iron skillet restaurant attached to this location as well that has a big menu and a decent salad bar. Decent but not great.
Old place, but not bad. Parking spaces in truck lot are a little cramped. Showers could stand remodeling. Iron Skillet restaurant. Usually a good buffet. Nice people. Knocked down from 4 stars to 3 because of fueling. You never go in here to fuel that islands are full of drivers parked on them, and no one will make them move. From now on, Ill pay more and go somewhere else. Parking lot full of holes.
I know things can change from day to day, but I saw absolutely no evidence of the negative things people say in these posts. Everything on the salad bar and buffet looked fresh and delicious. Waitress was almost over attentive even though I had the buffet. I didnt visit the fuel island deli, so I cant say anything there. Very clean....Will stop here any time Im through.
Lots of food and drinks to choose from and competitive prices that keep me coming back.
Great restaurant, very friendly people lots of parking but they may need to invest a little bit into fixing the parking lot as you can hide a car in some of the holes.
Petro/TA are the only national travel plazas (what happened to truck stops) that still offer buffets. I avoid a lot of them even though I want the buffet. Why, they take advantage of truck drivers and being truck drivers, we let them.Reserved parking is not for the driver, it is so the truck stop can make more money without having to do anything and truck drivers are paying. If it were for the driver you could reserve and park for free.Wake up driver.
Use to Love the salad bar at the Petro stops. Its a very poor excuse for a salad bar and even buffet... Food use to be close to home cooking, but not anymore..
After our car went out-of-gas 1 mile away from 310, I looked for help at this place. The people there kindly drove me back to my car with 2 gallons of gas. It was Dec 30, 2015, and the temperature was about 0F at night. I really appreciate they have helped us out. Thank you!!
This place is TRASH they actually use the small containers EVERY other Petro uses for the salad as the meal container and some small bread container for the salad. Needless to say I won’t be back for fuel or a meal.
We stopped for a quick break and I bought the chocolate pudding from the store. Not something I would usually do. I was wanting to stay awake for the rest of our drive..... The first bite was fine, the second and third were NOT... 3 hairs.... Disgusting!!
I hope you don’t get a break down and come to this Shop to fix it. 13 hours just to change my break dram. Worst place to fix your truck.
The buffet was the best Ive seen at any petro/ta Ive seen in 31 years of driving. And the waitresses were very attentive. Showers were nice and clean with great water pressure. Overall a good experience
Great place to get souvenirs😎📖
Avoid this shop if you can. Had check engine light on and they charged me over $400 to mess with sensor which they didnt fix and check engine came back on few miles later.Obviously they dont know what theyre doing
Very easy to access. Great gas prices. Large store with friendly staff. Bathrooms were not real clean, but it appeared to get heavy use.
Staff is always so friendly and helpful!
After an estimate of 350 on a hose change that took 1min to pull off, they boosted it to 570. Wow. To change a small hose.. highway robbery. Stay away from here they take advantage of drivers that need help. Boooo kendra is mean and nasty.. just a hose on top of radiator and they have had my truck for 18hrs. This place is a nightmare. And brush your teeth kendra, u deal with customers. Its pretty nasty
Clean bathrooms, clean store, and a decent little restaurant inside. We made a late night stop here on our way from SC to Denver. I talked more with the people in the restaurant than the store, but everyone I spoke with was helpful.
I-80 was closed down. We got a motel room but needed supper. The Iron Skillet was close. Yelp gave it reasonable reviews. We tried it and were delightfully surprised! They had a $14 buffet that was excellent. Soup (pepperpot was great), salad, steak, fried catfish, mussles, shrimp, rice, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy......and much more. Desserts were good too. This is not gourmet food, but it is plain, simple, and darn good tasting grub....as much as you want!
It was very cold and very busy, yet it was clean and warm
Tell anyone that youre thinking of going to the Petro and everyone wants to go with you...lol
Great place, our fuel filter clogged on our RV while on vacation, they got us right in on a Sunday! In and out in 20 minutes! Thanks! saved the day!
Pat is a service manager here. I showed up late on a Sunday with a motorcycle tire problem. He and Matt, a technician, both helped me get back on the road! They even went to the trouble of modifying a tool to get it to fit. I am impressed and very thankful to have had the fortune of stopping here instead of another place. Top notch folks!!!
Clean - friendly - good meals - good prices- lots of parking
Went there 2 weeks ago there was a bloody booger and 2 loogeys on stall wall went there today same booger and loogeys still on stall walls place is always filthy all employees and manager always got there cell phones in hand and people wander why were going through pandemic
Plenty of truck parking and good t.v. reception.
Made appointment for tire service an hour before I got here. After 4 hours waiting I find upon wheel torque the mechanic didnt use the mat properly on my polished aluminum rims. Then, for #1 Michelin cases I get a whole $25 ea. Other drivers sitting around waiting and waiting losing revenue all the way around while the molasses service techs slowly work through tickets. Management here is an absolute joke as there is more managers than techs. I wont ever be returning here for anything. My advice is find somewhere else for any service related problems.
Lots of parking easy to access. Showers are decent and clean but not outstanding. The Iron Skillet has good food but its pricey. The staff was friendly but not outgoing.
By far the worst food ever! The server was the only great thing about the place! He is a young guy, but very attentive! Too bad the cook and so-called management suck... Our (husband and I) meals were wrong from the beginning. Our server took them back and tried to correct the issues(COLD FOOD, not what we ordered) after returning the meals to the table, the food was the correct order, however the food was colder than the first time.... We did NOT pay for the meals, nor did we eat. We DID tip the server $10. For a job well done!
Biggest draw...LOTS OF PARKING. Other than that, its a truck stop I only use to stop and sleep in. A little tired but the people are nice and the food isnt terrible.
All Petros and TAs are top shelf and the Laramie WY is absolutely worth putting into your trip plan. I ordered a big fat hot breakfast and was served in three minutes. I think the waitress liked me so I tipped a lot.
Lots of Room to move around the lot does need fixed food pretty good When they fix the holes in the lot I will give it another star. They fixed the lot another star. They fixed the lot
Nicest truck stop in a 200 mile radius....Large truck parking... but, showers are small, restrooms needs to be maintained more often, no secure wifi and buffet/menu is overpriced and tastes good enough but a minute too old.
Ordered a breakfast, told the waitress I wanted over easy eggs, hash browns to be brown, toast brown, sausage and bacon done and I wanted my breakfast hot. It came out cold, hashbrowns where a light tan, sausage was cold bacon was cold and limp, and the toast was bread. I sent it back and told the waitress I will not pay for something I did not order, get it right the next time. It came back 15 min. later cold. and not corrected. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS IRON SKILLET. FOOD IS TERRIBLE!!!. Manager does not see anything wrong.
My Husband just paid 25 dollars in cash for an angel ornament for me and when I went to open the box there was no ornament in the box
Closed down as soon as I walked in. The Cova-19 pandemic hit these businesses really hard. The price of fuel there was also outrageous.
I usually stop here when coming through, for a meal. Usually the food is pretty good BUT this evening 4/15/18 when I stopped by with my wife, we had the prime rib buffet, and I have to say it was NOT worth the money. The meat was totally raw and bloody, as was the fried chicken. Pans on the buffet were empty also. We had to have the meat sent back and cooked more, then when we got it it was tough enough that we couldnt eat it. Another lady at the booth also told the waitress that she lost her appetite because of the undercooked meat, but was made to pay full price as we were also. I believe since I have been here and had numerous good meals that I will be back BUT if anything similar to this experience happens again, I will take my business elsewhere.
Great buffet and items on menu are good also
