The Staff were very receptive and attentive in addition to being quick and helpful. Overall, my experience was very good. The storage unit is well priced and have a good security system.

Received excellent service and continuity from the manager Benjamin who took care of me and got me set up today at my new storage units. He even though I cleaned up and swept the area showed it to me top and bottom did all my paperwork actually incorrectly and got me out of there in a timely basis. I am currently in the process of moving out of my parents [Finally] and am in need of a storage to put what few belongings i have in untill my place is ready. My grandmother told me about this place and just kept reminding me about it until i snapped and checked out. Im glad she did, because i couldnt have asked for any better. Mr. Frank helped me out tremendously, not only was he friendly he assisted me every step of the process. It was cheap, efficient, and even better it was close to home. 100% would recommend this to anyone in need of a storage unit.

Compass rates have increased 38% in 2 years in Aug of 2019 i was paying $115.00 now rate is $159.00 same space. Rates increase 3 times in 2 years, 38% - your response shows that you really dont have a plan to abate this, and I challenge you to show that your expenses have increased by 38%!

COMPASS SELF STORAGE. GREAT FACILITY NOW!!I have a unit here since January 2020. The previous site manager was not very professional and was rude at times. Additionally, I noticed the grounds were not kept up very well during the prior management supervision. At one point I was going to move my storage needs to another facility until the new manager Benjamin took charge. Benjamin has made a huge difference in not only keeping the grounds looking great but his professionalism and courtesy led me to stay at the Walsingham facility. If you are looking for a storage unit go see Benjamin. He will make sure you get the best customer service and proper unit to fit your needs. They also have u-haul trucks too. Great job Benjamin!!

Great service. The employee that helped me (I want to say his name was Benjamin?) was very friendly, quick, and helpful. I had no problem understanding the sign up process, and he went out of his way to provide good customer service.

I have rented two storage units from Compass Self Storage for some 2 years or more. This storage facility is formerly known as Indian Rocks Self Storage. I had moved my stored items to Indian Rocks Self Storage probably 4 or 5 years ago, based on a negative experience with Extra Space Storage. Well, in the words of Yogi Berra, it’s deja vu all over again.As was the case with Extra Space Storage, the frequency of monthly rental rate increases with Compass is beyond belief and borders on highway robbery.You can routinely expect rate increases every 6 months. And the rate increases are seemingly arbitrary and well above any cost of living adjustments.Furthermore, Compass requires that you pay a monthly insurance fee for each unit that you rent. Such insurance is not mandatory in the State of Florida. I questioned the manager regarding the matter and he informed me that he would have to contact his District Manager regarding same. Well, the Manager never felt it necessary to inform me of the outcome of that inquiry.Given my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for self storage consider renting from locally owned an operated storage facilities. Those run by corporate interests seem to take advantage of their existing renters with frequent rate increases—a practice that strikes me as predatory.Fortunately, I have the wherewithal to relocate my stored items to a different facility and I am in the process of doing so; others may not be as fortunate.

Wow what a pleasant surprise to meet Ben today to assist me with my compass self storage!!!!! Five star customer service. So pleasant to talk to and took care of all of my needs with automated set up and payment. Was not real happy with service from office people before and was considering moving to a different storage area but now after talking to Ben I will continue to use the facilities based strictly on the customer care that I was given. Such a relief that I know I can talk to the people in the front office and not be annoyed. It was my first time ever renting a storage unit at 60 years old i didnt know what to expect Benjamin made everything so easy and understandable i actually felt like i knew him before so pleasant and nice and joking with me my kind of guy. I needed a large space same day and Benjamin was so nice on the phone. Said he just got a large unit open today. Told him I was driving from Jacksonville and I got there 10 min before they closed. Had a bad experience with Greg Gregorius at Largo branch. He was super unhelpful, not wearing a mask, and kept trying to demy me the half off first months rent that i came there for in the first place. As a fromt desk clerk, he is *customer service. He was rude and unprofessional as it comes. Thankfully the next time i had to go there Benjamin was on staff. He was super helpful and literally helped me physically move my boat into a storage that fit. This guy needs reprimanded. He needs to be nice to customers. Not rude and try to deny company promotions. I think he was upset he dealt with me vs my girlfriend he spoke to on the phone. He was excited to give her the half off, but tried to fight me on it then just rude.

For 15 years (shows the age of this place compared to all the new ones) I never had an issue before compass took control, (IRB storage) theyve gone up twice on payments in that many years, I guess they appreciated their long-term renters and never missed a payment, since compass took over (although nice people) theyve gone up twice and also included me to carry my rental insurance (or pay extra) which I never had to in the 15 years prior.. understanding it is a month-to-month business that is somewhat demanding in the state of Florida but renting to store furniture for moving than renting a unit long term for permanent storage is a little different.. only to pay storage facilities expenses, come on now! I will be going larger but I highly doubt it will be at compass! Worth noting: my nephew just left compass to a newer place,better deal.Additionally to your response.. what additional expenses could you possibly have on a month-to-month basis in order for you to change your rates, that is the most ridiculous sounding excuse Ive ever heard! Whether you own or rent the property I am sure your agreement with the owner or a bank does not change on a month-to-month basis, so stop sounding ridiculous. Its pure greed!

I needed a storage unit, but had 3 to choose from within a half mile radius. I’d dealt with one of them before when renting a U-haul and they weren’t really nice, so they were out.I chose Compass because it seemed like the units were easier to get to than the other one. I’m glad I chose them. The unit I got is spacious and easy to get to... no stairs or elevators needed.Donna was very friendly and made my stressful day so much better. Under New Management. I updated my contract yesterday under the new owner, Compass Self Storage. Donna, the new general manager, was very personable and most helpful. They have already started investing big money into facility upgrades. They are easy to do business with, as they use DocuSign for new/updated contracts. It was a snap!

My husband and I just locked down a storage unit at the Compass in Largo, FL and Donna that worked there was very pleasant and happy to meet our needs. She even quoted us a price on a Uhaul and made us aware that wherever we rent our uhaul, we could drop it off at that location. This is also the cheapest storage place I could find close to the beach. Highly recommended!
